Just to clarify where I stand, you should not be able to pay any politician or Government employ directly to get special consideration or breaks. That is what lobbyist are doing. That is not the American way. It's wrong period. We understand corruption and crony capitalism yet we shout down anyone that points it out. I am not exactly sure why I am being attacked for pointing out what most Americans have come to realize is a huge problem. If people want Romney to put a stop to it, there has to be discussion about it.

Every one of the tax loopholes are based on employment, if they don't live up to their end, they pay taxes to us and the state. I very much approve of this and it is what I was referring to as sanctions against companies that take their profits and provide jobs overseas.
-
Didn't most of that money go to corporations that were too big to fail? How exactly do you get too big to fail anyway? Is it because Americans willingly throw their money at you? Or is it because politicians have sold the American people to you? Poor poor corporations spent all their money acquiring power, now they have none left to hire Americans or pay taxes.
-
Because the average American can not pay a lobby to get a break. We can create laws that give corporations huge breaks based on employment and benefits. They don't want that, they want huge profits and to pay no taxes. I would love that also but I can't afford the millions for lobbyist and lawyers, they should not be able to do it either, yet they do. I ask you were is the freedom in that? Our country was not based on freedom to the highest bidder,it goes against everything this country was founded on, yet we see it as righteous.

Osama bin Laden Is Dead, But His Original Goal Is Still Working

Draconian tax laws are upper middle class single people paying out 40% because there is no tax shelter. I am willing to look at any article that shows a large corporation paying more than that in taxes. We are allowing companies to rob our economy blind because they should be above being taxed. Almost all of those companies have built their success based on infrastructure built on tax dollars. They even take that money over seas and build infrastructure for them with our money. Don't fool yourself it is not about taxes, it is about building infrastructure for the guarantee of cheap lab -

I hope it won't be a fight but a discussion about things we are seeing that we feel are wrong. People want to take political sides, but congress is at fault there is no political ideology with them, it is all about the money and raping the American people. They don't think past the moment when it comes to consequences to this country, they only concentrate of accumulating wealth for their comfort. They feel the power they have acquired entitles them to use use it for personal gain. I don't know how we can stop these people, we have not had a president yet that even considered it. We are to -
Osama bin Laden Is Dead, But His Original Goal Is Still Working

I think a company has every right to do business over seas and to make a profit. The American people have every right to demand that their Government apply sanctions to companies that do this. For the last 10 years our economy has been bled by companies doing this. It is not our Government's responsibility to ensure any company is profitable at the expense of the tax payer. We have every right to expect that companies founded and made successful in this country remain a strong economic engine to the people that made them what they are. Think of it this way, a man has millions of acres to -

You need to read more about Halliburton and how they do business. We pay them billions for defense products to be developed, they put that money in off shore accounts. They use it to start up manufacturing plants all over the world, generally where raw materials and labor are cheap, they then sell it to us for billions of tax payer dollars. The richest corporations in the world were started in this country, corporations of this size as in too big to fail create their own rules now about their profit margins and taxes. Smaller companies in this country don't have that privilege, they stay, -

TP is not wrong and it is obvious that he is well read. It is a well known fact that Halliburton keeps most of it's money in off shore accounts. They also ofter their services all over the world. Some of those products and services were created and designed here in the US for our protection. They are one of the richest and most powerful corporations in the world, they mostly got that way off of American wars in the Middle east, but they don't trust us enough to put their money in our banks. I have said for years they should be watched carefully, they are a war machine that goes broke without -
Jeanne O'Halleran is an excellent divorce lawyer. She has built a reputation for helping fathers also. Some may have a problem with that, because as we all know the women is always the under dog. I have some very good male friends trying to protect their children from horrible living conditions that she has helped. I know some people that believe children always belong with the mom are not going to like that.

We have 2 attorneys that are on p.com, only 1 of them does divorce cases please pm me the specifics.

I hope they are not checking your sugar tomorrow You should bring me some to improve your health Pie crust is not easy, just so you know different shortenings, have different water content and smooth out differently. I hate to tell folks but the best crust and biscuits is made with lard. The water content is perfect.

It was self inflicted, we ask that names and addresses under these circumstances be kept private, this is horridly painful for families to deal with. It is good to see neighbors connecting though.

Mrs.G, so many things determine how much water to make crust the right consistency I won't go into it. You did right going by the feel. I know it is going to be good, let us know how good!!!! Just over 5000 with Ragsdale, furnace and ac for 2200 square feet. My returns were not big enough and my unit was not properly sealed. It made all the difference in the world. Our utility bill went down 100 a month year round. They also financed, that made it much easier. I have not worked with other companies as it is a one time deal. We have a long standing relationship with them so they were our first choice.

The tables are not going to collapse, the sliding to the end or side of a table to get on or off can and does cause tipping. You may not need assistance but a lot of large people have problems getting up or off exam tables. Many times they need things to pull or push themselves up. You are no where near big enough to have the issues I am talking about. People that are very large know this, it is simply a fact, they live with it every day. In certain situations they do ask people to help them up and down and it puts those people at risk. It is a fact. I am not being derogatory towards larg

I was at the doctor last week when a man rolled a large women into the clinic while I was checking in. She got very loud about the wheel chair being too small. Doctors with older equipment may have to look into purchasing larger exam tables for safety reasons. Generally most tables and equipment can hold up to 200 lbs. It is not just a matter of size, it is about maneuvering patients on and off tables, wheel chairs. Patients have tipped exam tables. There are a lot of procedures that don't work on large people also. The doctor should have the ability to say no I am not buying furniture o

A toll road was looked at as an option for growth. There was a study done. When you looked at the study there were many lines with the cost feasibility done on each line. I think the cost were pretty high for it. I imagine investors in a toll road would look at that when considering whether or not to even think about it. We will get industry here, this is the first of many. A toll road would have brought different industry. It never went past the study, no neighbors were interested, it was dead in the water by the time the all the hoopla started. We will continue to grow to broaden th

No don't cook the peaches first. My mother-n-law had a trick to keep the crust crunchy and get the fruit all the way cooked. She would heat the oven to 450 put the pie in for 10 minutes then turn down to 300, it would cook the fruit longer to get it tender. You simply remove it when it is brown.

Mrs G, the old fashioned way of making a cobbler is just like making an old fashioned pie crust. Generally the crust is a bit thicker than pie crust. I always use a TBS of apple cider vinegar instead of water to make the dough sticky. Many modern flour's have a bit of bitterness that the vinegar gets rid of. When I use frozen peaches for pie or cobbler I thaw them in a colander sitting in a bowl to capture the juice as they thaw. I mix a tablespoon of corn starch, a pinch of nutmeg. When you use cornstarch it helps to concentrate the natural sugars in the fruit, not as much sugar is ne

That is exactly what I had thought. I am just curious about the reasoning that went into the original concept of the project. It seems to me that the goal to save lives was not really there. So that makes you ask the question was this study started with the idea of a commercial application in the future rather than helping people because you had an opportunity to do so. It seems as though the actual people doing the study ended up grappling with the moral issues, now they have to get permission to do the right thing. It should have been built into the project from day one if the goal had

How often are we frustrated when the law stops short of supporting morality. Our laws are often shortsighted and open ended. I don't want this to be a political discussion, but you can't help but see social issues being some of the most heated when it comes to discussion. For me this article represents a lack of understanding the ultimate goal of a law. There is no mud here, the ultimate goal of these studies is to save lives through research. It seems that someone short sighted wrote the by-laws of the studies in a way that would not allow them to help people with the knowledge, but at
