  1. If you end up having more than you can use I'll gladly take them off your hands. ;)I missed out on getting a paper the week-end they were in the paper and that is the only way I knew of the free coupons. But, I've gotten the strawberry lemonade and have enjoyed it.
  2. Ahhhhhhhh.......still enjoy watching Gunsmoke all these years later. Marshall Dillon and Miss Kitty never did get together. RIP!!
  3. Thanks for the recommendation. I haven't tried that yet - but I will!
  4. DITTO!!! The fried okra and cream corn taste just like Nanny's! I have friends that drive down from Acworth just to eat lunch at Audry's. The food is THE BEST home cooking I've ever had - just like you said. DH and I go every chance we get. Be sure to look to the right - it is on the end of a strip center but it is sorta down from the road. You will see a banner overhead that says "home cooking". And, while you are out there go to the next strip center and check out The Wearhouse!
  5. A friend does dog sitting and sits with the elderly. She is charging me $30 per day and she will be staying here for the week and letting the furbabies out as needed. I am not sure if this is her regular rate or not, tho.
  6. DH had a different response to the epidurals than most here. The 1st one helped a LOT and lasted about 4 weeks. The 2nd one helped for about 2 weeks. The third one did absolutely nothing for him. He had therapy until he eventually had no choice but to have surgery on the L-4 and L-5 that were ruptured. His response after surgery was the same as NY Gal's husband - other than the pain from the surgery itself his back felt better than it had since he hurt it. Six months later after the cadaver bone had fused he had to have a 2nd surgery to have the metal removed. He was allergic to the metal and
  7. NICE, NICE, NICE!!! Just talked to Terry and I'm looking forward to Saturday!
  8. I am needing recommendations for a good Wound Healing Center for a friend. They would prefer to go to Birmingham but are in Heflin, AL so they could also come to Atlanta. THANKS!
  9. The answer to your question is yes. And, I think you have to be a member of Paulding Fine Arts to participate. Also the same date as Paulding Meadows is the Villa Rica Gold Rush. Two of the largest are Powers Crossroads in Franklin, GA the long Labor Day week-end and the Daisy Festival is at Stone Mtn Park. It is also the same week-end as Paulding Meadows. Both of those are pretty hard to get into tho. There is the Tyrone Founders Days and one in Newnan but I'm not sure when those are. Just thinking of some that come to mind. I posted in another thread asking about festivals that there
  10. There are usually events on Marietta Square on July 4th and the Villa Rica Gold Rush is the same day as Paulding Meadows. I don't know if either need vendors. There are also several good websites that are very good and list most all the craft shows/festivals in the state with contact information.
  11. Well Darn! I got busy reading this thread and burnt the two pieces of bread I had in the oven.
  12. I agree 110% with everything you said!! I've heard both stories and saw the interview with the boyfriend. From what I understood his version was that one of the girls was leaning with her back against the window and when the other one gave her a hug they leaned even harder against the window and went out of it. He said he reached for her but was unable to grab her it happened so quick. I've also heard the reasoning that they were play fighting. And, I have no doubt an attorney has talked to them and instructed them to place the blame on a faulty window. They are all now seeing $$$ signs.
  13. DONE - HE IS A CUTIE!!! GOOD LUCK
  14. I have green beans on the stove right now - for the second day. I don't cook a particular bean and typically don't cook fresh beans. I cook them with bacon grease and salt. Cover with water, cook the liquid down, add more water, cook the liquid down. I do this repeatedly for hours on end. People say I am cooking the nutrients out of them - I say I am cooking the flavor into them. YUMMMMMMY.......just like Maw-Maw used to cook.
  15. WOW! A gunshot wound to the head seldom ends with a good result. We used to live in Twelve Oaks.
  16. GOOD AFTERNOON and HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!!! Just another day in the neighborhood in our house but I am Thankful DH has a job to go to!
  17. AWWWWWWWWWW.........WHAT A CUTIE!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!
  18. Thanks for the link but it didn't help me any. I know how the program works as far as 100 points = $.10 off and so forth. I also know you are supposed to get points for getting prescriptions filled. What I was asking was with the new program is it a one-time fill-up with the discount? When it as $.10 off we got the discount with every fill up for every 100 points. For instance if we had 400 points in April we would get 4 fill-ups in May with the $.10 discount. I am going to call corporate on Tuesday to find out why I did not get point credit for the prescriptions filled. I never worried about
  19. CONGRATULATIONS TO BOTH OF YOU!!!!!
  20. CONGRATS!!! Is it a one time fill up at the discount?? I just do not understand how we didn't get credit for more than 200 points. But, anything is better than nothing. Me too! I think we actually save more that way.
  21. Kroger is not doing the 10 cents off per gallon right now. It is ten cents off per gallon for every $100 you have spent since May 22nd. (I think that is how it is calculated) DH got 20 cents off a gallon and one friend got 40 cents where another got 60 cents off!!! I am going to ask Kroger the specifics because we typically spend $400-$500 per month in groceries and I get 6-8 (at least) prescriptions filled a month where we get 100 pts for every 2 prescriptions. The Kroger TV ad states you can get up to $1.00 off per gallon!!
  22. WELCOME!!! It can be a great place to hang out.
