  1. YUMMMMMM.......Can NOT wait for one of those fried oreos!!! I've heard about them for a long time but never had one.
  2. Boneless pork loin cut into thick pork chops have been marinating in Patti La Belle's Apple Cider Vinegar marinade. DH will grill them. I am going to cut some potatoes thin sliced and fry with onions. Not sure what else - maybe nothing. Late afternoon lunch so gonna be a late dinner. Probably won't want much.
  3. A GREAT opportunity to pick up that special Mother's Day gift for the special Mother!!
  4. Sounds YUMMMMMY!!!! (And I heard the Sunday roast was a huge hit!! )
  5. BLESS YOUR HEART! I have felt the heartache and rode the emotional rollercoster myself. As difficult as that time was I knew there was a reason why the baby was not viable. I often think of that baby but also realize if I had not miscarried I would not have my amazing son I got pregnant with the next month!! Everyone is different and as others have said as long as there is life there is hope. Prayer is POWERFUL and God is the Ultimate Physician. Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
  6. There was something on the evening news about people being fired from a Day Care but I am not sure of the location. Maybe you can find info on WSBTV.com?
  7. The Dallas Family Village Spring Fling 101 Greystone Power Pkwy Dallas, GA Saturday, May 12th 8:00AM - 3:00PM Doug and I will be set up with our business, SPORTS SOURCE (we will have some great deals on Collegiate, Braves. Swamp People, Browning and MUCH MORE!) along with 40+ vendors. Available will be Arts & Crafts, Mary Kay, Scensy, Tupperware, etc, etc. In addition to shopping with the vendors you can be entertained by Wade who will be performing 1:00-2:00. He will be doing a 2nd show at The Dugout in the same shopping complex that evening 5:00-7:00. It is predicte
  8. Ruth's Chris - Atlanta The Peddler - Gatlinburg McKendricks - Perimeter Mall area Chicago's - Marietta on Whitlock (closed) Some place in Honolulu, Hawaii with a prime rib bar Capt. Andersons - PCB Okay I listed more than 5 but wanted to add something that was NOT beef.
  9. I understand what you are saying. Skylar is more the "complete package" where Jessica has the pipes. Many of those who do not win have better careers than the winner. WHERE are Lee Dewyze or Kris Allen, David Cook, Fantasia Barrino, Taylor Hicks, etc, etc these days????? Chris Daughtry and Kellie Pickler who were voted off Season 5 long before winner Taylor Hicks was named winner has had great careers. Last I heard Taylor was performing at the Atlanta night clubs where he had gigs prior to Idol. And remember a little known (sarcastic icon needed) young lady voted off Season 3: JENNIFE
  10. It was me who pointed out they have not had a Hispanic winner. That plus the fact guys have won the last several years it would be something the Producers are considering for sure. Jessica is talented and has been superb a couple of weeks. And, as I often say "there is no reality in reality tv." The very first contract the contestants sign aftet the initial audition is 12 pages and has in black and white "the Producers have the right to determine the outcome of the competition." Just sayin'. I hated to see Skylar leave. I liked her and she reminded me SOOOOO much of a good friend of D
  11. That was my first thought. But, as I read the recipe I thought "maybe" since you repeat the process you would do it with 2-3 pans and bake a set, cool the pan and start the process over again. The photo looks amazing and it sounds REALLY GOOD!!! I may do as GGinGA and make it with fewer layers. The icing sounds like one my Momma used to make YEARS ago. Sweet memories.
  12. WOW.......Joshua was AMAZING!!!! He should be the next Idol in my opinion. I like Jessica but Joshua is beyond description. I also like Phillip but I expect to see Joshua and Jessica in the top two. Jessica would be a good choice for the producers because they've had so many guy winners in a row and they've never had an Asian as a winner.
  13. When Ryan went to introduce the 3 ladies before their trio rather than saying "one of these ladies could be the next American Idol" he said......"one of these ladies WILL be the next American Idol." Hummmmmmmm.........?????
  14. VERY TRUE!!! I was saddened and sickened when I saw it on the news this evening. Such a tragic end to a spectacular career!!! I pray for comfort and peace for his family, loved ones, friends and former team mates. He was always one of the good guys yet one of the best at his craft. It is a fine line between the health and well being of the players and the money making maching of the NFL. But no amount of money can replace a life.
  15. COOL ~ A GREAT ADDITION TO AN ALREADY GREAT BUSINESS!!!!
  16. I agree with ALL THE ABOVE! Pick your battles!!! I would have been upset IF he had the opportunity to save $$ by buying two and didn't. I would take the $$ he saved with the deal and go buy the necklace you seem to want so badly (or if it is an expensive necklace make the initial lay-a-way payment with it). And, every time I looked at the phone case I'd be Thankful I have a husband at all and especiallly one who wanted my phone protected. (In my case it would be a GREAT present since I drop my phone EVERY time I get out of the truck. LITERALLY!)
  17. THANKS, Wayne!! It is AMAZING what you can learn on p.com. I've never heard of such but it sounds YUMMMMMY!!
  18. Is there anything on the hash browns? I'm not familiar with “Kentucky Hot Brown”???
  19. THANK YOU mrsdavidj6 for the information from the paper. It is a huge relief to know everyone is going to be okay. Praying the child in critical recovers. That was my thoughts, too, as so many people were running to help. We would have stopped but DH has his arm in a sling after rotator cuff surgery and me ane my cane wouldn't have been much help. Plus, I was afraid too many people might cause even more problems.
  20. WSB-TV just reported on the accident on the 11PM news. They showed the vehicles being towed off and said the car pulled out in front of the truck. They did not mention a fatality but told of several injuries. I am glad to know no one lost their life in the accident!!!
  21. After a wonderful afternoon with DS & DH watching "Titantic: The Musical" we were headed home and came upon a TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE accident on Hwy 120 right at The Avenues of Cobb. A pick-up truck was upside down on it's roof and a car was down a side drive TORN UP!!! It had JUST happened when we came upon it and before I even saw the wrecked vehicles I saw people running from all directions. Cars were parked in turning lanes, parked across the street, in the median, everywhere and folks were jumping out of their cars running to help. As difficult as it was to see the mangled vehicles the re
