I AGREE!!! And, to interview and re-interview these YOUNG children who survived yet witnessed the carnage is just WRONG. The parents should be putting a stop to it but they are enjoying the limelight, too, I guess. The Media definitely knows the game they are playing. Just like another situation not too long ago. ABC's Nightline had a segment with "Exclusive" interview of family members. That same morning I watched the same family members being interviewed and asked the same questions on The Today Show more than 15 hours earlier. But, ABC had them "exclusive".

I had posted yesterday about the shootings in Alabama. One of them started in my hometown of Heflin, AL. The 2 year old in the article is deceased from the injuries. I feared copycats of the school shooting but I don't think these two incidents were a result of the CT school shooting. Just CRAZY folks!! BTW, the Heflin Police Officer, Jackie Stovall, is going to be okay. THANK GOODNESS!!

The Falcons looked like a Super Bowl team today and should earn some respect. I hope they can play like that in the post-season and go all the way!! WTG Falcons!!!! Juliooooooooooo -
If you go to Rodney's on any Friday night, Sunday or some week-days ask for Maranda to be your server. You don't be disappointed. We were there Friday night and instead of our usual steak special we were adventurous. I got the potato chowder soup with lemon pepper and garlic/parmasan wings. YUMMMMM. DH had the cheeseburger that is ALWAYS good. I want to try the pork tenderloin sandwich they have as a special for Dec. We will be back several more times before Jan so I'll have more opportunities.

Having grown up in Heflin I often say: "I may lay my head in Georgia but my home and my heart will ALWAYS be in Alabama". I am Thankful for Facebook because it has allowed me to reconnect with friends from HS and College that I had not talked to in 35 years!! I hear from them on a daily basis and they keep me up to date on what's going on at "home". The Heflin Police Officer is going to be okay after what has been reported as 3 surgeries yesterday and when he woke up this morning the first thing he said was "Did we get him?" Thankful they were able to tell him "YES"!

I can attest kidney stones ARE more painful than child birth. Plus, child birth typically does not go on for 3-4 days. Good Luck.

DD had French Onion Soup at Longhorns earlier this week and said it was very good. I know Applebee's has it on their lunch Pick-a-Pair lunch combos and I get it whenever I go there for lunch. Occasionally Rodney's will also offer it. LOVE French Onion Soup!!!

We have a family tradition that we started years before we moved to GA in 1996: We go to Waffle House on Christmas Eve and then ride around looking at Christmas lights. Since moving here we always go ride through Life College and look at the lights. Starr & Dru's Nana my husband is the exact same way. Bad food or really bad lack of service he won't go back. And, if he says he won't go back somewhere you can write it in stone - he won't!!!

You can check out my thread I posted today for sports merchandise for sale. No one has attacked me.......YET.

Unfortunately most Shoney's have closed as far as I know. The only one close to Dallas/Hiram would be Thornton Road. They still have a very good breakfast bar, too!!!

The Hardee's in Villa Rica (although I REALLY doubt that is what you have in mind but they will bring it to your table ). Cracker Barrel is always open, I think. Not really sure of anywhere else. I would like to think all the restaurants would close so their employees can enjoy Christmas Day with their families. Maybe that is selfish of me since both of my children are servers in restaurants. But, times are a changin'.

If your server on Sunday afternoon is a cute and funny dark haired beauty I take credit for her amazing personality and good looks. She is also a VERY GOOD server...........I birthed her!!! And, I second your opinion of the smoked lemon pepper wings!! GOOD ONE lowrider

Dinner Thread for Thursday 12-13 - Spaghetti with giant meatballs
mom2dachs replied to surepip's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Sounds YUMMMMMMY. I am sure you and the Mrs. enjoyed a nice dinner!! -
I hate it you had a bad experience with Rodney's wings. Maybe he had a different wing for the fundraiser? But, when we have eaten them on the $.40 or $.50 they have been big and tasty. I have never had the wings from Market Deli in D'ville (actually never heard of it). But, I AGREE about Publix wings. All their flavors are VERY GOOD and large. When DH was working and drove past the Publix on 120 on his way home he would pick them up and get their steak & cheese sub. We would have a good dinner sharing it all. YUMMMMMM.....I wish there was a Publix closer now I want their wings!!!

I have worked for a couple of personal injury attorneys and am sending you a PM. I understand completely how difficult it is to work with insurance companies. And, getting the right attorney who has an excellent reputation with insurance companies will avoid having to go to court. They KNOW which attorneys have the court experience and respect with the court to BEAT THEM!!!

Have you tried Rodney's wings???? OMGOSH. They are really good - especially the Lemon Pepper and he has Parmesan Garlic. We have not had a good Parmesan Garlic since we would go to Winston's in Austell for DS to sing karaoke. And, that was like 10 years ago! We really like Rodney's wings. Nice and meaty. Of course his location might not be convenient for you.

In the last week we have shipped 4500 hats! One customer got 2300 and another got 1100. The others were shipped a dozen or two per box. When we were working on the best way to ship the 2300 the customer was determined they be shipped via USPS. DH preferred UPS for these large boxes but the customer insisted they go USPS. So to please the customer we packed 230 hats per 18x18x24 box and shipped the 10 boxes via USPS. I printed the labels online and even with Delivery Confirmation and $300 Insurance it was still over $11 cheaper per box than UPS. When DH mentioned to the USPS worker he had looke
