  1. There have been a LOT of sirens on Merchants Drive/Bus 6. Seems to have gone on for 10 mins. Anyone know what is happening??? TIA.
  2. I will take a box of the Chicken Fritters if one is available. TIA.
  3. What are Chicken Fritters? I imagine chopped chicken made into nuggets?
  4. OMGOSH - Y'all are making this Momma PROUD!!! THANK YOU for the sweet compliments. Maranda works very hard to make her customers happy. I will definitely pass along the compliments. I got on here to tell Rodney that DH and I ate there tonight (typical Friday night outing for us) and my steak was AWESOME! Of course that is nothing new!!! I got my regular fried taters but instead of the salad (with extra tomatoes) I got brunswick stew. DH had the cheeseburger,(he is a cheeseburger connoisseur LOL) fries and stew. Seems I can NOT get enough of Rodney's stew these days. YUMMMMMMMM
  5. As they say "EVERYTHING TASTE BETTER COOKED ON A BIG GREEN EGG".
  6. I refuse to watch any of the Super Bowl commercials. I did last year and it was a huge let down when they aired during the game. I like the surprise of seeing them when they should be watched. I have heard talk about this commercial and how good it is. The Budweiser commercials are ALWAYS my favorite.
  7. I have never added the sour cream? Does that just make it creamier? I typically use 1 lb of Velveeta and 1 can Rotel. I guess your recipe just makes twice as much? I have used hamburger meat but not sausage. I will try the sausage next time.
  8. In the huge scheme of life WHO CARES???? I will continue to buy foot long subs from Subway but I won't be pulling out the measuring tape!

YES it is OPEN!! We were setting up there at the time of the fire. We were in Bldg D and the fire only affected Bldg A (a complete loss) and part of Bldg F. The market did not open that week-end of course but reopened the very next week-end! However because of the media coverage making it appear to have been much worse many folks, like the OP, thought the market was closed. The owner kept saying he was going to do advertising to let people know the market was up and running, BUT!?!?!? Even the vendors that were in Bldg A & F have been relocated and it is a good market. How long h
  10. When I was growing up my Mother got a flu shot every year and every year she got the flu. So, several years ago my kidney doctor mentioned me getting the flu shot but I told him I wasn't going to get it. His response was "That is your decision but IF you get the flu you WILL die". 'Nuff said! Because of my lack of immune system when I get sick I get very sick very quick. So, I get the flu shot every year and also get the pneumonia shot. I got my flu shot back in October but 3 weeks ago was in the hospital with the flu. It was not near as bad as most people have had it and I contribute that to

  13. LPPT, I suggest you market your stew. I have heard SO much about it for SO long I NEED to be a taste tester. I am a connoisseur of Brunswick Stew!!!!
  14. OMGOSH! Talk about AMAZINGLY GOOD. No words to describe how wonderful dinner was tonight. And as good and delicious as the food was - making it even better was NO cooking and NO mess to clean up. I only have one complaint. The there was not enough of the AWESOME bread!! So, in the future I will order an extra loaf at whatever is the charge! We are stuffed and have pasta and green beans left over PLUS we didn't even open the salad. That will make for another meal. THANKS Mr. & Mrs. Surepip for the wonderful dinner. DH and I enjoyed visiting with y'all, too. Have a great eveni

  18. I wish I had known I wasn't going to feel like cooking last night and we would have definitely gotten this. Sounds REALLY good!!! DH will stuff pork loin with feta cheese and spices but I am sure it isn't as good as yours.
  19. They don't have to be!! When we lived in Alabama we had a 24ft x 5ft with a 3ft wood deck all the way around it and a 14ftx14ft deck on one end. VERY attractive and a TON of fun for the family.
  20. DH and I were in the area last week (I am addicted to Taco Bell's mango strawberry ) and I made the comment I was surprised the Blockbuster was still open and didn't know how it had managed to survive.
