  1. My kidney function has been decreasing, and I am looking for a nephrologist. I had one when I lived in another state, but haven't found one I like here. Has anyone been to Dr. Edgar L Wollam? Also, have any of you found any of the special kidney diets benefical?
  2. That reminded me of the scene from Julie & Julia where Julia has been chopping a huge pile of onions when her husband comes in.
  3. I bought a 5lb. bag today at Food Lion for $3.99 minus a .50 coupon I printed from southernsavers.com/. I don't know if this was a special price or not. I also noticed that they have a scanner to scan your membership card that prints coupons.
  4. I usually buy onions by the bag because I use them regularly for cooking. Lately the best price I've seen are for Vidalias at around $1 per pound. Do produce markets or anywhere else have them for less?
  5. I have you found anything that does help?
  6. I don't know that location. What is the address? Do they have a website?
  7. Thanks for the link to their website. You can click to see their menu and also print a coupon. I tried to sign up to receive coupons by email but couldn't get that part of their site to work.
  8. Is the new place, J-Rod's Diner, owned by the same people as West Cobb Diner?
  9. Here's the menu for the West Cobb Diner. Is it the same as the new restaurant? Was it $9 with a drink and tax? What type of bread do they serve? (I'm looking for a place that serves good homemade yeast rolls.) http://www.westcobbdiner.com/
  10. I had electric before we moved here. I prefer electric because I like to simmer things like soup on really low heat and the gas flame doesn't adjust as low on the stove I have now compared to the electric I've had previously. I lot of chefs like gas cooktops though with electric ovens. Here's what Wikipedia says: "In particular, professional chefs often prefer gas cooktops, for they allow them to control the heat more finely and more quickly. On the other hand, some chefs often prefer electric ovens because they tend to heat food more evenly. According to EnergyGuide labels on appliances s
  11. I checked out your menu on your website http://www.thebumblebeebakery.com/ I've been looking for some good yeast rolls. The grocery store bakeries don't have any that are that good. The ones I used to make had a higher fat content that added to the flavor.
  12. Here's a link to a couple of reviews of the restaurant. One mentions delicious biscuits from the buffet and also says something about Saturday. So do they have a buffet on Saturdays? http://www.urbanspoon.com/r/9/1523377/restaurant/Atlanta/The-Taste-of-Dixie-Dallas
  13. I'm always looking for restaurants that have good homemade mashed potatoes. How many other veggies do they offer? I don't eat meat or anything with with meat based seasoning. I do eat fish sometimes. Please tell me they serve homemade yeast rolls...
  14. There's a variety with variegated leaves and flowers that never open. It's not as fast growing as the ones with solid green leaves though: http://www.robsplants.com/plants/HibisPV.php
  15. I know some churches have groups that meet for arts and crafts activities regularly. Are there any in our area? Get to know other Georgia Crafters: http://groups.yahoo.com/groups/GeorgiaCrafters
  16. I don't do scrapbooking, but I enjoy seeing what others are doing and I do other types of arts and crafts. I want to learn more about mixed media techniques. Is anyone else interested in the "other craft projects" you mention? Share ideas and meet other Georgia Crafters: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/GeorgiaCrafters
  17. I thought someone else might like to read about this.
  18. I haven't yet. I want to do something with it though. Here's some info on using it with stencils to make raised designs on furniture. She says the end results are "rock hard," by following her recipe which contains glue added to the joint compound: http://www.ehow.com/how_5321369_give-hand-carved-look-stencil.html
  19. Here's a journal cover project from hgtv where they used joint compound to get a crocodile pattern: http://www.hgtv.com/crafting/faux-crocodile-book-cover/index.html
  20. Here's a link to art jars that are made with joint compound (the stuff that is used on drywall). There are several pages: http://www.alyiceedrich.com/category/art-jars/ Connect with other Georgia Crafters: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/GeorgiaCrafters
