  1. I took Meteorology and Climatology in college, one class from an actual NOAA climatologist. The gist: The climate changes. More than once there haven't been polar caps (either end) on Earth. The Greenhouse Effect isn't the big, hairy monster. The Runaway Greenhouse Effect followed by the oceans boiling away then a type of natural Nuclear Winter is the real scary stuff that should keep the lesser-informed up at night. lol. It's all just BS. Worry more about pollution, the lack of potable water in the next 20 years, and the explosive population which has already greatly exceeded the carr
  2. Sorry that happened to you. You tried to do the right thing by going back and checking. Maybe if the owner of the dog (who probably made it home with some injuries) reads this they will contact you and also do the right thing by offering to pay for your repairs. You shouldn't be out of pocket or have to claim anything on your insurance. It could have happened to any of us driving that day at that time. The middle of Hwy. 92 is a bad place for any animal. Can you call vets in the area to see if they treated an animal hit by a car? Maybe you could collect damages or small claims that way.
  3. You forgot to mention you got the love of your life back. That is worth all the mowers in Georgia.
  4. How many common law wives can you have in Utah? Just wonderin'.
  5. You're right. I'd much rather see the county spend endless amounts of our money to avoid a trial and bleed citizens dry. I don't know who is right and who is wrong, but I think three years is too long to wait for a trial. That is the point. That is where justice ends and bullcheeze begins. I maybe wouldn't have mentioned a certain person in my post who is having a really bad week, but don't discount this poster. What if you had a real problem with something the county had done to you/your family/your land? Wouldn't you want your day in court? Or would you prefer to play the "I have more ta
  6. Remember how developers were going to give so much money per lot to the schools? Did that happen? Reading this post reminded me of all that money (and I never figured out where the money ended up)... From 2006: Contour Development, INC. won approval to modify stipulations to a previous application for 190.164 acres for a 375-lot, single-family residential development. The property is zoned PRD (Planned Residential District) and is on the southern end of Palisades Parkway south of U.S. 278. Instead of paying $500 per house for a total of $252,000 to the Paulding School System, the boar
  7. While I understand the urge to speak out for your son, I fear you have done more harm than good. You identified yourself and your son AND you admitted blame on his behalf and on behalf of the driver (I'd be PISSED if I were his parents). It doesn't matter what these people have to say about you and your son, it DOES matter what you publicly admit before all insurance claims have been filed/paid and all legal charges have been dispensed with. Bad idea.
  8. Now half the people who read this will think the owner of that lot is a perv. I'm thinking it's a coincidence. And the description given of the suspect fits about 1/4 of the men in Paulding. The best thing to do is warn your kids again about getting in a car/truck with strangers. Make sure you have a family "safe word"..
  9. LMAO. Babies will ruin your life if they don't get milk. Selfish babies. Do I get a grad credit for watching that?
  10. I agree the child's father is the child's FATHER. What he decides for his own child is his business.
  11. Nightmare. I'm glad they got out safely and I hope they were fully insured. I really need to make an inventory of my belongings to store in a safe place.
  12. I got curious after reading this and looked up some MLS listings for houses in my subdivision/area. A house on my street is on the market for $42,000 less than I owe on mine. Mine is now valued (checked a few property value sites) around $30,000 less than I owe. Very nice. So glad I was responsible and saved to by my own house. This county better do some f^&%*&% amazing things with my tax money because now I'm freaking stuck here...
  13. It's not just here. I was reading some education related boards from the EU and Eastern countries and they are having the same problem. The good life makes us all a little less motivated than we could be. Maybe the economy tanking will remind us that America is great because our progenitors built it and didn't just lay around on it. I used to go the library a bunch more before I really got to thinking about the possible things that can be done to books while in the possession of others after I sneezed on a book. Just disgusting, really.
  14. Have you tried just putting shredded newspaper in a litter box for her? Read that somewhere...
  15. That was Tabby-Catty. lol. I soooo wanted to warn the OP. My Chihuahua jumps on me constantly. I'm wondering if he really needs those little legs...
  16. Yeah, but she has pillows anywhere she goes. When I see the muffin top I lose ten pounds. If you keep buying bigger sizes, you will keep fitting into them...
  17. I'm pretty sure they'll like it. If I had those, I would have to let them breathe too...
  18. Where is the dang picture? I have checked like six times....
  19. Infinite monkey theory. Given enough time, you will find someone to be offended by everything. And even dumbarses will eventually say something intelligent.
  20. lmao. I've given up being offended. Maybe I have seen too many episodes of Family Guy.
  21. Briana, So sorry about your dad. Prayers.
  22. 60 years. RIP Mrs. Williams, comfort for your husband.
