I doubt there would be riots if they shut down SS. The retires just dont have the physical abilities anymore. Just being realistic here. Now there would be a huge outcry but no riots. You take away the benefits from all these other folks and there WILL be riots. -
Sorry to hear about the loss of your two fur babies. I think one of my Akitas died of a broken heart when I had to put her mother down. It was a very sad thing to watch.

While going to work this morning, I found a young lady stalled out on 92N just as she entered the Dallas Hwy intersection. I had to push her Explorer all the way across the intersection and up the hill almost to the gass station entrance. She had already called dad so I went on to work. I hope her dad got her the rest of the way home

You have been able to continue your HC from your employer after leaving for as long as I have been working. That is the COBRA plan. It tends to be expensive. I am unfamiliar with how the ACA has affectes that plan. It seems though that if you got HC insurance through the exchange it would go wherever you go no matter who you work for. It is essentially a private plan.

I think you need help with the plans not the law itself. I know that the bronzee plans are the minimum acceptable to the Feds under the law. The others I would have to see. We have the BC/BS Plan again this year. It has an HMO type and a PPO type. We are also offered a plan through Kaiser. They all have different costs and coveragrs that we get toblook over and choose from.

Hmmmm you seem.... well aquainted with this matter and the consequences. Me thinks a little to well. Something you want to get off your chest..... legs.... etc.

There are some that should not be an LEO. I have been on the same side of things as you seem to be. I had a problem... the sherriff heard about. I made certain of that. Problem was then resolved.

Depending on whatvyou are asking they MUST make sone form of report. Even when we got the known crazies we had to make a report. Usually the report would include where we were, who we spoke to, what they said, any potenti al criminal information or id, noting and cllection of evidence and what was the disposition of evets when we left. What happens from there is open.it might get picked up by the detectives for further review and investigation orit may just be cleared out. Our narrative may be similar to Met with Ms. JONES at her home. She complained of strange noises coming from her attic. Sh

I know that the foreigners are coomibg now but it is really quite pleasant at Disney in October.

I say taser... Much more fun to watch them squirm. Besides pepperspray has a nasty habit of coming right back at you.

I thought we had fixed this onesided support issue. Are the judges not supposed to take her income into account now? In this case mom should pay about 45% and dad 55% of the determined child support and no spousal support.

Oh you would not have to work long in the PD to see that. Women use the kids as weapons all the time. It really is sad. I think men only do it less because the woman usually gets majority custody. Given the time and location, if it were me I would have waited til the next fire fight and done the most damage to the enemy before they killed me. Much better way to go.

Am I the only person who wears socks that match?
nschur replied to dawneykids's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Dis jr. always out grows his socks before they wearout. That's because he will not wear them. :bad: You ought to smell his shoes! :bad: Well maybe you shouldn't but they really do stink. I have to tell him EVERY time he puts on shoes to put socks on. He always says oops forgot. -
To be honest here, I have given away more gas out of my cans, which are always in the back of my truck, than I have had stolen. I won't give anyone money for gas but I will give them a gallon or two as the need calls for it. I had a very nice man give me some oil WAAAAY back when, when my oil light came on in my parents car as a young teenage driver. I had no money and was afraid to drive the car with the light on. And in the early 80s around Mceachern there was NOOO place to get oil anyway. No phones no nothing late at night after band practice. So I help when I can. But that is by choice not

I was at local school office yesterday (no I will not say which) All I can say in this regard was Whoa... Ladies really? But two short funny stories from work I was leaning over a lady securing her to the gurney after a wreck. She says you smell wonderful what are you wearing. I seldom wear cologne to work as it is pointless. Anyway I told her Rightguard Alpine Fresh. We had a lady having a possible seizure. She had a accident and severe allergies that according to her mother were somehow related. She was livid that she could smell cologne on "one" of us because the daughter could

Am I the only person who wears socks that match?

So mismatched socks are in? Does this mean I should wear one of my retro 80s triple striped tube socks and one of my below the ankle white running socks the next time I wear shorts? -
It can be anything from legal to reckless conduct to assault. So the answer is really it depends. Some cities make it against the law to fire a gun inside the city limits. but then you add in the defense issue then what? As nitro said. Don't pull out a gun until / unless you have justified reason and are willing to use it as it was intended.

No one can predict what path electricity will follow in the human body and you are going up the arm past the chest to the leg to go to ground. Better hope it never crosses their heart, that is 20 times more than enough to stop the heart.
-
Then as an electrician you realize that 500mA is enough to stop the human heart and also that the average household outlet is 15A or 30 times more than enough to stop the heart all while transmitting an AC which is much more dangerous tha DC. And since vehicle is grounded back to the battery and you are conducting a charge it will likely require a source greater than your car battery. Not to mention the fact that most of the cars out there today have onboard CPUs which are highly sensitive to current.

Hang on a sec... let me try to wrap my head around this. You are saying that we "reward" people, mostly young singles, for not becoming pregnant? I am not opposed to the idea in theorey but in use how much would we have to pay the young "woman" to convince her not to take the easy low hanging fruit of government assistance. Not that she would get rich from GA but it would likely be much more than the reward. At best we would be paying the "good" girls and a few of the transitional at risk ones for good conduct.

How to call the Police... True Story From the Meridian, Mississippi STAR George Phillips of Meridian Mississippi was going up to bed when his wife told him that he'd left the light on in the garden shed, which she could see from the bedroom window. George opened the back door to go turn off the light but saw that there were people in the shed stealing things. He phoned the police, who asked "Is someone in your house?" and he said no. Then they said that all patrols were busy, and that he should simply lock his door and an officer would be along when available. George said "Oka

You miss the obvious... If you can shoot them it stands to reason you are at least near them right. You cant shoot them unless they threaten you right. Easy fix... You already got the drop on them. If you are feel "lucky" go up to them with your gun drawn and tell them to get on the ground. Hopefully some has or is already calling 911. If the comply great you caught them. If they run chances are they will drop said item and NEVER return. If you know them you can even go get your own warrant for their arrest. Call SO if you see them around and let them know where this "wanted" person is. Follow
