Hi PsychoMom, did you see the signs at HGCR and DBR, the county or state (not sure which) has made those roads part of an official BIKE ROUTE. Dumb, dumb move.

Sooooo Frustrated with my cell phone service
The Sound Guy replied to ga_dawg_fan's topic in RECENT TOPICS
<Sigh> It's funny to me that while landlines are engineered to be one of the most reliable systems on earth, (the standard is something around 2 minutes downtime a YEAR), that cell phones have got to be the MOST unreliable system I've ever used. Yet, we all just pay and put up with it, because they are all just as bad as the other. -
Thanks everyone... now to see if I can talk the wife into it tonight.

Aw, another one liner GOPR!! You are just full of them aren't You!! And a cute little YOUTUBE video too!! Brings back warm memories of COWA. He had a thing about YOUTUBE also. Anyway... You think five screaming guys in a council meeting would be better? Check out some of the Atlanta area BOEs for examples of that, they are losing accreditation's all over. I don't expect bobble heads, I expect five people to listen to each other, work together towards valid solutions. Five guys yelling "My way or the Highway" gets us nowhere. But I don't expect you to understand

Lets see if things have changed - Election poll
The Sound Guy replied to gpatt0n's topic in Paulding County NEWS
Sure you don't. Hey DOT, can you PM me what you found? -
Thanks for the response. Are you happy with the Vizios? That's a name I I'm not familar with.

It's not blackmail if it's the truth. When the SPLOST was first passed, they said it would prevent higher millage rates and it has for the last 10-12 years, the SPLOST income has replaced property tax money for needed capital funds. If it goes away, those higher rates will come back to supply the needs that the SPLOST is now covering. It's pretty simple.

Nice way to ignore the question. Classy response. YOU put your name out, not DOT. I don't see that DOT has posted anything personal about you that you haven't posted before. Didn't even use your last name. Anyone can look up land in the database, I looked up Jerry's place a few years ago. I will say that if you do have a lot of land under a land covenant, it explains your fixation on the tax rate a lot. Since land under a covenant is locked at it's original value, it doesn't go up when everyone else get reassessed up and the tax rate is reduced like during Jerry's term. The owner sa -
Second the "excellent observation pubby" that Angel Eyes gave ya. Jason's Press Release in the other thread is an example of the same thing. If Jason was really interested in pulling together with us and the BOC, he could have said the same thing in that release in a completely different way to indicate his willingness to work with the existing BOC if elected to achieve the goal of reducing the tax rate. Instead, he flaunts a "Do what I say" attitude and a challenge to the group that he will have to work with. Not a good indication of teamwork.

Maybe, but I bet if the 200 lb Gorilla of ATL decided they wanted another airport out here, the fact there is a small Paulding one would not even slow it down much. If you fly into ATL from the East, look to South and you will see a couple of runways with the big X on the end of the closed runway because they were too close to airspace ATL needed.

Does the paper actually come out in the stores on the 30th? I used to have a subscription but let it run out, need to get another one started. -

Actually, I think I remember seeing that they had a couple on sales in today's paper. I may have to look again.

HOW A MAN CAN IMPRESS A WOMAN Compliment her, respect her, honor her, cuddle her, kiss her, caress her, love her, stroke her, tease her, comfort her, protect her, hug her, hold her, spend money on her, wine and dine her, buy things for her, listen to her, care for her, stand by her, support her, hold her, go to the ends of the Earth for her. Nice. Mine (North Cobb) and my wife's (South Cobb) were all $130+ a couple and downtown Atlanta somewhere. We didn't bother going.

Mainly what I've read about how they are much heavier power users than LCD. I have noticed that the price on them is dropping however. You can get the same size for a couple of hundred less. So I'm conflicted on that too.

With the US being in the World Cup Game this weekend, I'm seriously thinking about getting a bigger screen HDTV finally. However, I've looked around and there are a huge number of brands and models. If you have one, what is it and what do you like/dislike about it? I'm looking for a 46-47" screen. Know I don't want Plasma, but wonder if the 120 Hz (or higher) is worth the extra money. Would love an LED one, but don't think I can swing the bucks. Would you mind giving me your thoughts?

Dang Willie, you made me realize that my 30th should be this year. YIKES! I'm OLD!!

I had the door switch melt on mine, I'd check it first as the source of your issues.

Don't hold your breath Surepip waiting for details... Besides, she only gave you part of the quote: Seems to be a double mouth full of nothing to me. Love the "Cut property tax rate to help grow local economy". Well, Jerry and company did lower the tax rate several times in the last 10 years. Funny thing is that it didn't seem to help me much since my assessment was climbing faster than their "cuts" and my taxes went up $1500 a year. Fact is, the rate is only half the story. But Jerry and them sure trumpeted their "tax cut". I prefer to have someone who will work with som

No, stuck on Jason. His condemnation of the only administration that has cut taxes in the last 10 years tells a lot about him. -

Because David gave a tax cut he didn't have to. But what do we get from Jason? Backseat driving with him complaining that it wasn't big enough? How about looking to the future Jason? But, if Jason is going to go into the past to complain about things, how about him asking why Jerry and the Paulding GOP that controlled the commission didn't give us this 9 million dollar a year tax cut YEARS ago if the expenses were not needed? Wait, that's right, GOPR and you seem to think there is ANOTHER half million of waste in the current budget, why didn't JERRY fix that too? Where is Jason's conde
