I will think about it. I already know the answer though.

I thought his interests were District 19! Is is running for the BOE too? Thanks! I have already met him in person!!!!

It was very crowded at Starbucks. There are usually 8-10 even when the numbers are low. I vote for the indoor air conditioning in this heat but I can pass on this one if you guys want to meet outside there. It really is a good place.
-
Sure! Can they push the wall out a little?

I love that place but the space is very limited. If we have more than 5 or 6 it would be a problem.

Paulding: The race is on for DA, State Senate and GA House
NewsJunky replied to gpatt0n's topic in Paulding County NEWS
We seem to be off to a running start with the guilt by association mud slinging. I hope we can find out what these candidates stand for and what they will bring to the office. I don't really want to see them condemned because they were in business to make a living for their families. I am seeing that happen in more than one local race. If they had a reputation for being fair and honest in that business then I think that is important. If they were not I want to know that too. Have they contributed to the community and held positions of responsibility? I think that is also important. If -
Not yet but we could start right now!!!

We had a nice coffee today and solved all of the world's problems at the same time! We sure did miss those of you who could not make it!
-
Oh good! Will look forward to meeting you.
-
Well I'm offended! They didn't send me one.
-
Look forward to seeing you guys!

I had no idea that this person was so interesting

I guess she has had plenty of real life experiences to draw from. -
There should be a video on Paulding Voice. Pubby may not let me say that. Not sure if I'm allowed. Sorry if I am breaking rules.

Is Illegal College Student Receiving Special Treatment?
NewsJunky replied to MillCreek's topic in RECENT TOPICS
If anything she said was the truth, she managed to get herself HOME long enough to get a Mexican Drivers License and a passport. She is now equipped with a good education that we paid for. I think she could manage. KSU is showing ILLEGALS special treatment by letting them have a seat there and by letting them get instate tuition without turning them in. They have shown this one even more special treatment by coming to her aid when she was arrested. I wonder how many American students can expect aid from KSU if they are arrested. -
Last I heard she was living in public housing and has always lived in public housing. Funny that tax dollars instead of Obama's are helping her live in America and now she gets amnesty and can continue living on tax dollars.

Why don't you take a ride over to Cedar Town and then say the INS chases the poultry industry. You might want to check around the Alabama plants too. They work there in large numbers, also in the meat packing plants, roofing, landscaping, they own the masonry jobs, farms, restaurants, hotels, and the list goes on and on. You need to look at the numbers. I think someone listed a break down of them in this thread. Americans used to make a decent living at those jobs but they have been under bid by companies who employ illegals. Teens don't stand a chance in this economy. Adults are taking

Well why not? I can tell you why not, they provide a great deal of our oil supply and we take care of their people in this country. Always follow the money. That is one theory as to why our government does not close the border.

Democrat Party has been Hi-Jacked by the far left. It no longer is a party that these guys were representative of. I think it lost them in the left turn it took. I really think that you can be a three star general and a liberal. I still think that General William Colin Powell is a liberal. He supported Obama I do believe.
-
It really is! It gets cold up there among other things.

I didn't watch it either but this was in the news this morning. Neal Boortz has another bit of news about the winner that made it political but I won't go there. Sad that it even enters this contest.

Local elections, who have you met? who would you like
NewsJunky replied to LPPT's topic in Paulding County NEWS
I have met most of the candidates. Two that I want to meet are Steve Golden who is running for the 19th District. I get to vote in that one. Another is Pete Bridges who is running against Bill Heath for the District 31 Senate seat. I already know that I will be supporting John Barge for State School Superintendent. -
Almost all of them have websites with that info. Just type in their names and they should come up.

I think there will be a Meet The Candidate event sponsored by the Republican Party coming up soon. Is that the kind of event you are speaking of? -
I just don't think there should be a political agenda of any kind in these contests. Personally I liked her answer. I don't know what you mean by am I serious. It is just a fact that is being discussed this morning in the news.

Miss Oklahoma was asked a politically charged question. I know her answer was politically incorrect. How did she place in the contest? I think they are both beautiful! They certainly seem to bring contrast to the contest. I see that as a good thing unless a judge brought a political agenda into the contest. http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2010/05/16/miss_oklahoma_usa_supports_arizona_law_im_a_huge_believer_in_states_rights.html She was asked what she thought about the new immigration law in Arizona. The judge who asked her the question was Oscar Nunez.
