Add Pete Bridges to that list. It is like buying a pig in a poke to vote for someone you have no info on and have not met. Bill Heath does show up and answer questions. I can't go tomorrow I wish I could. You guys take a camera and put some clips on P.com. I have met Tony Crowe. Seems like a nice fella.

Agree with most of your post. Will you be voting for the SPLOST? -

Did you SEE a hard copy (flier) of this yourself? In what form was it passed around? Do YOU know who passed it around? Do you know anyone personally who saw it and in what form did they say it appeared? I do not believe that Chris had anything to do with it showing up at the Debate! I believe he is telling the truth. I always look for the truth! -

The likes of Al Sharpton will not let it stop being about race. This should be about two silly girls who were not taught that they should not hit or push a police officer when he is trying to do his job. -

Yep! Name calling is not nice! I know that the folks who put the Debate together wanted it to be totally unbiased and fair to all candidates. I saw none of those fliers when I was there and I am sure the sponsors would not have approved of them at all. -

If you are calling me a crazy old fart I have to tell you that I am greatly offended!!!! -
I would like to know "the rest of the story" too. I am just a little curious.

It is perfectly acceptable for an officer to defend himself. I saw two silly girls jumping on that officer in the video. -

Somebody should have taught her that it is not legal nor acceptable to assault a police officer. The officer did the right thing. -
Letter to Paulding teachers and residents from Will Avery

I don't see those as workable options right now which leaves us with raising taxes or creating more debt. I don't want to see either of those things happen. That is why we are in trouble on the Federal level. I can say they are not workable solutions. -

I think he was focused on one he considered to be more important. I had to leave a little early and did not get to ask him why he answered the way he did. -

Got a message from him saying he did not pass it out last night and does not know who did. I think I understood him correctly. -
Letter to Paulding teachers and residents from Will Avery

Avery has no clue as to how to keep all teachers employed and their jobs protected although that is one of his campaign promises. No money and he would do it anyway. Typical make more debt or raise taxes liberal thinking. -
I was surprised to find last night that there is a Democrat (lady) running for the District 30 seat against Bill Hamrick. She took part in the debate.

I don't know how he can defend it if he passed this out. I find it to be in the same vein as the slam on Beverly. I don't like it at all!!!! I don't know who wrote it originally but I think they should be ashamed. Not only is the truth stretched to the extent that it is almost non existent but it falls into the mud slinging category in my opinion. I have stated many times how I feel about that. -
The point here is how the folks who want the Democrat to win will use this to get their guy elected. The very same ones who trashed the previous guy for the same thing. There is no real discussion here it is all smoke and mirrors. The battle plans are made and the candidates chosen. I will campaign for my choices honestly and not where the cats are playing with the mice.
-
Amazing isn't it how it is okay to vote for someone when it suits your interests. Even when the same folks trashed the guy, who resigned, every day for some of the same reasons. I think there is a name for that.

Come out tonight for the Candidate Meet & Greet
NewsJunky replied to DeborahS's topic in Paulding County NEWS
He won't be! I have no desire to run but I will work to get folks who are qualified elected. He won't get my vote. -
If you were not able to make the Meet and Greet last night you will have another chance to meet the candidates on June 19th. Please come out and say hello to them and bring your questions with you. This event will be sponsored by the Paulding County Republican Party. I will try to post a list of confirmed candidates soon. June 19, 2010 1:30 - 4:30pm White Oak Park Free to public Drinks & Desserts provided Over 30 local and state wide candidates to attend.
-
Then I don't see any point in discussing the matter any more. You guys just dig up all the mud you can but I am out of here!
-
At least you have a good reason for doing it. Much better than I first thought. I will not be surprised if he wins. I do hope that the one I consider the better candidate wins.
-
Not sure they had enough time on the floor to offer many solutions. Time was really limited. I spoke with some of them after the event and they were all willing to answer questions. I guess we will have to go to the next one and hope for more info. Nice to meet you too!!
-
I was there. Can't tell them any more than I have already. I had met them all except Avery. Cute Kid!. I wanted to meet Pete Bridges but he did not show at least I don't think so.

Come out tonight for the Candidate Meet & Greet
NewsJunky replied to DeborahS's topic in Paulding County NEWS
Most of them that were elected in the last election ran to the right of their Republican opponents but they did not vote that way. They have learned how to get in office though I will give them that.
