Come out tonight for the Candidate Meet & Greet
NewsJunky replied to DeborahS's topic in Paulding County NEWS
You can say that even with the signature you have? I thought he was a very nice guy. Very charming but not ready for that job yet. -
It's not there and the folks I support are not puppets for anyone. If they were I would not be supporting them!! Anyone who knows me knows that.
-
Did I miss Shearin's name on a ballot? You guys do know that he isn't running don't you?
-
You know very well that Bush tried and was shot down by the folks I have already named. We can add the Democrats who controlled congress if you want. It would after all be the truth!
-
I will say a lot of prayers for her! You know you will both be in my thoughts and prayers. It really does!!
-
It should be numbered. Ask them to do a book check.

They have managed to keep the state out of near or complete Bankruptcy. That is saying a lot for a state that was hit hard with the fall of the building industry (Hence the bank problems). We all know that was brought on MAINLY by the likes of Democrats like Chris Dodd, Barney Frank, Charlie Rangel and others who insisted that those same banks and mortgages companies make home loans to folks who didn't qualify for them. Then those same folks went about demonizing big business and the bad old banks to help government get control of this country. I say NO to letting them control this state!
-
That is what is wrong with the system we have in Georgia. You will try to pick the candidate YOU feel will be easiest for the Democrat to defeat. You won't be adding anything as a Republican to the Republican Primary. Go ahead and vote that way if you truly want Mr. Stout because if he wins the Primary he will win in November and he will Represent the 19th District. Of that I have no doubt!
-
I will keep in mind that your statements are coming from a Democrat. I haven't met very many of them that know what the word conservative means. At least not lately. I shudder to think what Georgia would be like if the government here had been in their hands over the last few years. Folks who think it is bad should try living in New York or New Jersey! They would find out very quickly how conservative Democrats really are! They have certainly made a mess for us in Washington.

I think Stout quit his job at the bank Cobb. I heard he started something in his home. I agree with you 100%!

I DID NOT vote for the school bond and I still don't think it should have passed. That does not change my opinion that Golden is the best choice out of the group that have qualified. I voted for Jimmy Carter and have regretted it ever since. I have been a lot more careful since then in making my choices. I am sure some of the candidates, who have had the courage to step up and run, would also like to change some of the decisions they have made in the past. Supporting a bond that one of them felt was good for the children in Paulding is minor stuff compared to decisions made by some running

Hope he is Okay. Will keep him in my thoughts and prayers.
-
Do you really think it will help get your Democrat elected? I just want the one who is best qualified and who can do the best job for Paulding. In my opinion that candidate is Mr. Golden. I don't travel in the circle of folks who were on the list in your link. I have to believe that at least some of them believed they were doing what best served the children of Paulding County. Hind sight is always 20/20 and I bet if some of them could go back they would make other choices. I believe the best candidate, out of the three that are viable, is Mr. Golden. I do believe in the truth th

You mean the candidate that was sitting on the BOE at the time the bond passed? How did she vote on that by the way? Think I know. Sounds like you need to avoid that subject if you don't want your candidate to get painted with the same brush. JMO

Yeah I know but we keep digging here until we eventually find the real dirt!!

Oh No!! I will keep him in my thoughts and prayers. -
I don't believe there is anyone running in one of the races that does not have some of that kind of money behind them. I am looking to see if most of it is coming from Paulding county businesses and people.
-
Well maybe some folks believe he is the best candidate and have put their money and efforts behind him. I have donated to candidates in some races that I have never even considered donating in before. I am worried about the kind of government we may get if some of the candidates running should win. All any of us can do is try in any way we can to get the person elected that we feel will do the very best job for Paulding County and her people.
-
Maybe he moved to Paulding County.

I found the Barber Shop gossip to be amazing stuff! Do you think it is any more reliable than Beauty Shop gossip cause we know how reliable that is.

I have decided to vote for Mr. Golden. I know you don't like my choice but I won't vote for your choice either so I guess we are even. -

I agree. Thank you. I hope when I am face to face with some of the other candidate (for all races) they are as open with their answers. You still have not answered my question about how you would vote for Obama's "Race to the Top". Would you vote for it or against it? No waffling now!!! Just yes or no. -

He is a babe in the woods! I have already told him so. We need someone who has had a little experience with the workings of government and budgets. -
