ok. i watched it....and found it juvenile and un-entertaining.

whew...just got word that we are closing the office and working from home on Tuesday/Wednesday and possibly Thursday morning if the roads are still messy.now i can just stress over whether or not the power will go out....lol

It's looking like some nasty stuff early tomorrow morning, but the the precipitation changes to mostly rain for the rest of the day. With temps above freezing, this doesn't seem like a reason to stay home. Tuesday night the temps will drop and Wednesday there will be freezing rain sleet and snow. I'm thinking about just going in late in Tuesday. None of this is a guarantee. Just my thinking after watching this morning's forecast. My thoughts will change if the forecast does.

Ok, so I'm watching the news this morning and it looks like the DOT is getting their crap together and pretreating roads today. This event seems to be taken seriously by the local/state govt. Unlike the snow fall from two weeks ago, the weather has been warm (above freezing) for several days. All of that being said, I'm afraid my new boss will expect me to be at work at my new job on Tuesday. Yes, we've learned a lot from the last event...but the aftermath is still fresh in my mind. 10 hours to get home. 13 miles. Watching people wreck, abandon cars, throw fits, etc was horrible. Oh crap. My dog was bitten by a brown recluse when she was a lil puppy. It got really gross, really fast. She still has a huge scar/bald spot where they had to debried the infection so deep that it went below the hair follicles. Go to the dang doctor. Before your arm really does fall off!!!!

I'm not going to boycott CVS for this decision, but....my shopping habits will be impacted. I run in once a week for a carton of cigarettes, bag of dog treats, two bags of Jolly Rancer crunch n chews, and whatever beauty/hygiene items I may need. Instead of making two trips, I guess I'll just start shopping at Walgreens. :shrug:

God, I loved him.

Country style ribs soaked in coors light and smothered in homemade chutney consisting of diced apples, onions, sweet potatoes and whole cranberries, baked at 275 for 4 hours. Also, corn muffins stuffed with shredded Colby jack cheese and creamed corn. I amaze myself.

Th scene was horrific, even an hour later when one of our guys got the call.

i was ok on gas, snacks, bottled water, blanket, phone charger, and positive/determined attitude. i'm definitely going to throw a pair of tennis shoes in the car though. my work heels were not adequate footwear for the situation.

i love hearing positive stories about wreckers and their drivers/owners/staff!!!!!

i don't think i've checked the mail since saturday. we never get anything good.

folks seem to forget the part about mass transit being amongst the first of city/government facilities to get shut down. even the monorail won't save us.

i stood on the front porch this morning for about three minutes while the little doggies went pee. that's all the venturing out i'm gonna do today. MD says i don't need to be in the truck today as they are running doubled up to maximize efforts and give some of the drivers a break. the parking deck at work is a nightmare, so i'm working from the couch today. wait. i just checked the fridge. i'm out of diet coke. i may walk up to the shop and raid the vending machine in a little bit....

I will remember to pee before I get into the car.
