1. I'm home sick today. No cleaning or laundry, but I am enjoying the sunlight streaming through the windows.
2. My screen name is disclaimer enough. Any thread started by me is liable to have several fbombs before it plays its course. Some people just talk differently than others. I admit to not following any links or doing any research. But I am now fascinated by the idea of the Greeks having ice!!!!
3. Government employees. Although the former are federal and the latter are county....
4. I'm not following the links. I choose to remain a cynical asshole who simply makes fun of what I don't understand!!! So there!!!! Besides, I have her distracted with bobsledding. No way am I gonna start up the curling thing again.
5. It's frozen shuffleboard, as best as I can make out. Still not sure why they need the brooms though.
6. I made the mistake of showing my wife some curling videos tonight. She had never heard of it before and is now obsessed. *sigh* I don't know how much more I can watch, or how many more questions I can make up answers to. This has got to be the stupidest sport ever.
7.

i haven't written a check in years. just thought i'd see how much my bank charged, since the subject was brought up...
8. this thread prompted me to order checks. i went through my bank and paid nothing. no charges for standard shipping either.
9. http://www.girlscouts.org/gs_central/mpmf/faqs.asp#2 Mrs G. Please follow the link provided.
10. There's a very active train track one block from my house. Dobbins is right acros the street. Heavy equipment runs in my backyard 24/7. There's no way I'd ever notice a minor earthquake. If the damn house collapsed, I'd still blame it on the frickin squirrels in the attic.
11. Oh, I judge. As hard as I try not to, I still do. But I also support. It's hard. Maybe the hardest thing I've ever put myself in to. I still don't understand addiction as much as I'd like to. With anything foreign or dangerous, it's almost impossible to put yourself in someone else's shoes.
12. I'm beyond blessed to be able to say that heroin doesn't always kill. I'm my life, it has definitely robbed. But thankfully, MD is alive and still in recovery 12 years later. Awareness and support are what's needed. Not judgement.
13. Because I have a different opinion doesn't mean that I discount the feelings of the people who agree with the mindset of the OP. I'm learning, I'm following links and reading articles. My personal feelings haven't changed, so far. That's not to say that people won't find help in the places that are posted. I choose not to use the board as a platform to raise awareness for Down Syndrome, heroin addiction, or lesbian parenting. All of which are part of my daily life. Why not? Because I'm here to socialize, be part of a community and keep in touch with people I value but don't see very o
14. I use me instead of us for a reason. It seems to me, a layman, that the attitude portrayed is that the victim chooses to take the stance that anyone who is friends with or close to their abuser is brainwashed manipulated to be against the victim. Even if the those flyingonkeys don't realize it. This speaks volumes to me. If no one but the victim realizes that everyone is out to get them on behalf of their abuser, paranoia should be something to think about. We've gone from parental alienation, which, in my mind means that one separated parent talks shiit about the other and or withh
15. Oh, I don't play in the Tonk anymore. Not for any particular reason.... Damn. I miss those days.
16. Masochistic friends are the best!!! Justin serves as my wife's bar back on Friday nights, and is more fun than a barrel of monkeys. Are we Facebook friends?
17. I followed the link and read the article. I'll have to think more in it before I commit an opinion to writing. At first glance, it comes off as, if you're not with me, you're against me. But I may think differently after having some time to digest.
18. When the river ran backwards, a lake was created. Realfoot or Reelfoot, I don't remember. That's where a very large concentration of Bald Eagles live. Learned that in Tenessee history, 27 years ago. I knew that class would pay off!!!!
19. I shortened my name a few years ago. I change my avatar whenever the mood strikes me. My views and opinions have changed on some things, and strengthened on others.
20. Heterosexual people don't have to make announcements. The general public naturally assumes that everyone they meet, unless it a flamboyant male, is straight. I never officially came out. Unless you count introducing a girlfriend to my parents or friends. Then again, I'm not famous.
21. Glitter is known to be the herpes of the crafting world.
22. My condolences. It obviously meant a lot to you over the years, to be a ticket holder.
23. I missed it. Right about the time it was reported to have happened, Justin Roberts was tazing himself behind the bar. I was distracted.
24. You're not losing your mind. Apparently it's ok to portray married women as gold diggers, but not to speak about how they're willing to express gratitude for the gifts they receive. Meh.
