My first contact with job two was a phone call on my way home from the callback interview with job one. The lady says she's looking at my résumé and has only one question for me....do I have my shiit together? Yeah. I had to go straight to her office and meet with her. She's my kind of people!!!

I used to drink Ketel One. Now I drink diet coke. -
Exactly. This poses quite a challenge for my type A personality. But...there's travel. And luxury properties!!!! (Some that are even accessible via motorcycle) What to do, what to do???

This week I had 4 new job interviews, and one call back interview. Yesterday I was offered a position that I declined because it wasn't the right fit for me or the employer. The money was decent, the location was very familiar to me, the hours were flexible....but it would have been a step backwards on my career path. I wouldn't have been happy, and that makes for an uncomfortable working environment for the rest of the staff. Today I received two offers, from vastly different companies with polar opposite positions. I'm having a difficult time making a decision between the two, and

My ol man cuts my steak/pork or picks my chicken off the bone or crabmeat out of the shell. I'm 40. Age has nothing to do with it, though. He simply likes to take care of me. He does the same for my daughter, who will be 16 next month.

I absolutely love you, IMSTY!!!!!

Ruth's Chris. I had a bad day.

Possible, but not probable. Could just be an upper respiratory infection. My sincere best wishes that your furry guy gets better soon, without too much damage to your wallet.

Sounds like it may be heart worms. I pray that it's not, but if so, prepare yourself for and expensive treatment. Try new georgia animal hospital. They've worked with me in the past.

Dood. I was there last week!!!! Apparently, conventional light bulbs are about to be a thing of the past. MD freaked the hell out and we hit up a bunch of discount stores to stockpile.

Were there other avenues of promotion listed on the flyer? Just wondering if this was presented as a 'Facebook thing' or if Facebook was just mentioned as one of a few methods to use... -

The wife cancelled dentist appointments for our kids yesterday. Just too cold to get them out. When the appointments were made, three months ago, no one knew we'd be having single digit temperatures. My stepdaughter has clothing issues. It's not worth the epic meltdowns that ensue when trying to bundle her up. We're not willing to let her suffer the elements though. At 8 years old, and with Down's syndrome, we can't let her be in charge of what she wears when the elements are extreme. My step son was a micro preemie, born at 25 weeks and weighing less than two pounds. Now age 7, his lungs

Oh please. You certainly don't sound like your posting from a position of concern for children without coats. We're that the case, you would have included links to available resources for parents to obtain warm clothing for their children. Your posts come off a pretentious and superior. Maybe you're both, dunno, never met you. But being 'pissed off' because the entire state of GA falls short of your expectations for cold weather preparedness seems like a silly waste of energy to me. Be happy that the folks in your town are prepared. Be concerned that some of the folks in GA are not. Offe

Seems like a lot of energy wasted to me. Why be 'pissed off' over what anyone says or does when it doesn't affect you?

At my old house in Paulding, the furnace was in the basement. The condensation line ran out of a little hole in the wall to drain on the ground outside. It would freeze up in the winter. We finally learned to bypass it and run a separate line that drained into a Rubbermaid container. Not a huge one....we would have to haul it out and dump it every third day or so.

Last night sucked. The last call we ran was at 5:50. Broken down vehicle on 285 @ Atlanta rd ramp. Woman and two kids transported by Metro to the hospital for severe exposure. The guy rode back to the shop with us. They sat with their vehicle for over an hour with no heat or cell phone until GSP spotted them and radioed for rescue. I had a very hard time holding my tongue for the short ride back to the lot. These were local folks who took a stupid risk. -
Crap!!! I hope y'all are able to stay warm.

Amazing indeed!!! I wish you both luck for the upcoming season.

Meh. The wife could put 10 coats on the boy, an it wouldn't do crap to protect his fragile lungs. Had the schools not opted to close, she would have kept both kids home. Not for lack of warm weather coats, but because their health is more important than showing some pompass ass how tough we're raising them to be. Our kids ain't store bought. They have extremely complicated health issues and disabilities. We don't expect the world, or school system, to cater to their special needs. As parents we make the decisions that are specific to our kids, and to hell with whether the school system,
