Sometimes things get lost in translation, they heard about square dancing but didn't get it quite right. I couldn't help but to when I saw this... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8hrYQSDkr64

It's fake, the aircraft in the top of the image is an Airbus 380. It has two rows/levels of windows, the 777 is a single level aircraft.

Fred Phelps - Reported to be near death in hospice.

There's a saying that goes "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all.", and it's also said we shouldn't speak ill of the dead. So Fred's dead, how nice. -
I don't have any sympathy for this guy at all. He led a life of hate and intolerance and tried to spread his own misery to the world by leading protests at funerals of people who never harmed him or did anything to him or his family. He has also been reportedly excommunicated from his own church with members of his own family being prevented from seeing him. So the hate mongering little person is going to die pretty much alone without his family at his side. Far better fate than he deserves. And from one of his estranged children. A few articles about it. Fred Phelps

I've tried pretty much every Mexican place mentioned in this thread. None of them come close to my favorite spot, it's not much more than a hole in the wall. But the food is by far better than anyplace around here. And I'm keeping it a secret.

People never learn, this happens a few times a year all over the world. What kind of idiot would even open a museum like this any way?

There's nothing to worry about, the plant is designed to withstand a 7.0 which is higher than the strongest quake that is expected to happen. A 7.0 is almost 1,000 times more power than the 4.1 that occurred. http://www.southerncompany.com/about-us/our-business/southern-nuclear/pdfs/Plant_Vogtle_Fact_Sheet.pdf

You do realize that the people who run the store have the right to be safe, hence safety regulations. And then of course there's the lawsuits, which safety regulations can prevent. Better to start safe than not. Not only do they protect your mother, but also protect those around her. And since you were unaware that oil could be bought for the lamps, I'm sure there are many other things that you are unaware. The very fact that you consider the store and others trying to prevent accidents from occurring to be against common sense indicates you lack much of it yourself.

Kerosene is similar to diesel, would you try to buy diesel in glass jugs? In case you didn't notice, glass shatters when dropped or if one glass container hits another. Common sense is what requires approved plastic containers to be used to transport the kerosene. Not really that hard to comprehend with a small amount of thought.

Hopefully Google will roll out their fiber service to this area, and if or when they do you'll get gigabit speed. In Kansas city Google has gigabits speed at $70 per month. As they roll it out more, it should drop in price.

The main roads aren't that bad, just wet with some spots having slush or small patches of ice. Smaller side roads are fairly passable, they have slush and ice. As long as you don't do anything stupid you should be fine on the main roads. The smaller roads you might want to avoid if you don't have 4WD. My tires spun some in 2WD, no problem at all in 4WD.

Pellet stove, around $1000 if you install yourself. Cost of fuel for 2 winters here, around $250. It would pay for itself in two months at those costs.

The thing is, I realized a long time ago that I don't care what others think of me. It's amazingly liberating once you realize that you'll never please everyone, and that trying to is a waste of your time. You'll always have people think of you how they will trying to please one group or another, and you won't be happy with the person you're trying to be. So if I come across as an asshole to some, so be it. At least I know I'm not being an asshole to myself by being or acting like someone I'd rather not be. And if that includes being a whack job to some, and it doesn't bother me why should it

There are very few people I hate. But what I do hate is the same thing I'm being accused of, trying to shove my opinions or my beliefs down the throats of others. There are addicts, alcohol, drugs, food, etc.. In the case of drugs, very few addicts were forced into it. Those like Hoffman were able to afford it, and many with his wealth got into because they could. Yet there are many who call me an asshole because I don't feel sympathy that he died the way he did, even though "I'm supposed to". Why is that? People let me down all the time, but because they do doesn't mean I hate the next pe
-
Like I said, I've known many addicts. And have tried to help them, some have let me. But only to the point where they wanted to dictate the help, and the help was to feed their addiction. When I didn't I was the bad person, I was the asshole, I was the person who made them suffer because I didn't want to help them in their way. And their way was to stay the addict, the one who lied, the one who would say anything to gain sympathy because they didn't have their fix. So yeah, I've been called an asshole for wanting to help, and now for not sympathizing with someone who had the world at his feet
-
Maybe, but if you do then you deserve sympathy, understanding, care, and much more than if you think that addicts need to be treated as if they were exposed to something that they never wanted or started on their own. If you get cancer, that's something that happened to you. If you start the life of an addict, that's something you chose to do. As far as I know needles in your arm or snorting sheeze up your nose doesn't just happen.
-
I've known addicts, worked with addicts, and I am very familiar with addicts. There are people who deal with just as much burdens, grief, and other issues or even more that are not addicts, nor do they turn to life of an addict to make it easier. The ones that can deal with their issues and problems without looking to or turning to drugs for an escape are the ones that are to be lauded and sympathized with. They're the ones that need to be "awarded medals". Not taking the easy way out takes more strength than to quit the easy way out.
-
How about the thousands or millions of people that never get addicted, how about medal for those? Just because you quit something that can kill you doesn't make you a hero, a saint, or anything else more than the next person. He was a junkie that died with a needle in his arm. He doesn't deserve anything special for that.
