  1. OK, I'm a girl and I agree with all of the above!!!!!! I'll say though, that my own Hubby is thoughtful that way too.
  2. Me too because they seemed to stop before they got to Ivy Gulledge. Weird, still have no clue.
  3. There have been tons of sirens for hours and I have no idea whats up. Not to be a Debbie Downer, but I have insider information that Easter tends to be one of the biggest days for domestic disputes and suicides.
  4. Isn't that WAAAAAY better than something from the store?? What a keeper you have!!
  5. SOOO cool and sweet! These are my favorite kind of gifts, hands down.
  6. My ebay experience was familiar. I sold a wedding dress for $225.00 and the buyer sent me 'money orders' for $1800.00 and wanted me to deposit them and send the difference in cash when I sent the dress. What a dumba$$! He also sent it by DHL and not the USPS because that would have been mail fraud, a felony. Needless to say, I sold the dress to an actual bride, she paid with paypal and loved it. I contacted the authorities in the city that it was sent from but they seemed not to care. You just have to be careful these days.
  7. I forgot about that and you're right. The post office won't even do a money order for $1000.00.
  8. I L-O-V-E Hootie and the Blowfish!!!!!!!!!!!! I just bought 10 songs on itunes last week.
  9. Take them to BOA and cash them in the morning first thing. Whatever you do, DO NOT deposit them into any of your accounts. If it comes to pass that they are fake and sometimes that could take longer than a week, you could have overdraft charges from now until doomsday and it could mess your banking up for a long long time.
  10. You don't get a money order without cash. EVER. Why would the money center at Kroger give out BOA money orders, is it a BOA money center? I have a terrible feeling that this isn't going to end well. I HOPE with all my heart I'm wrong. THIS^^, ASAP.
  11. Back when ebay still allowed money orders for payment, I was sent fake $100.00 money orders on two different occasions. Supposedly drawn on local, reputable banks. Luckily, I didn't send the merchandise before I realized. I hope you're OK because if this guy had 6100.00 to buy money orders with, why didn't he just pay you cash? Was it his idea to give you money orders or yours? I hope I'm totally wrong, but my red flag button is screaming.
  12. I think we are all guilty of that sometimes because things change so quickly and what is acceptable today isn't acceptable tomorrow. Even terms that I grew up with as a kid, that I have used myself when I was much younger, make me flinch and say, 'OH MY', when I hear them today.
  13. I think they did and being the optimist that I am, I have to believe that he meant no harm. Buuuut JEEEEEZ. (And I don't think there was a child named Forrest).
  14. UUUUUMMMMMM, I'm not a huge fan either. I hate the glaze too, however they have a plain cake donut with a little chocolate frosting on top and man, I could eat a dozen of those things. But I never get them, ever. It's probably been 2 years or more since I've had one, it's better just to stay away. There's a new one on South Cobb dr in Smyrna, don't know about Dallas.
  15. All the kids who volunteer at these events make me tear up because dealing with a special needs child from slight autism to severe autism and the huge number of other issues these kids have, it's often not the easiest thing to do. I don't even know any of these volunteers and it makes me so proud of them! I agree.
  16. The young man assigned to be my granddaughters 'buddy' was amazing. He never left her side, made sure she had plenty to drink, got her lunch and cheered her on in her events. When I see kids like that, it makes me certain the the future isn't as doomed as some like to think. I was impressed and it takes a lot to do that. All of the volunteers deserve a huge high 5!!!!!!!!!!
  17. CanDidate maybe? And I think I would have had 'my paperwork' together before I started the topic.
  18. We had a great time and my granddaughter won a gold medal. She's still wearing it!
  19. Yep and the teachers are stuck teaching a bunch of crap instead of what kids need to know.
  20. I just wonder how many of the people making this stuff up are actually teachers? I'm thinkin' NONE, because if they were, they'd know these outlandish ideas were beyond stupid. When a parent can't even help a kid because the terms are different, but the math isn't, heads need to roll. I remember a management sent memo when I worked at Penney's Outlet in Smyrna saying that we, meaning the service desk workers, couldn't give a refund without a manager signature. OK. Fine. That lasted about 3 days when we were calling every 3-5 minutes for a signature. They had no idea what they were doing be
