We were going through the same thing and I didn't want to pay the price for any of the platform beds I found. We found a platform base at IKEA that sits in a regular bed frame, it was $150.00 and we LOVE it. Putting it together took a little while, but it is very sturdy and being that it is in our master bedroom, it has held up better than any other bed we have ever had. I'll go look and see which one we bought and post it for you. It's this one and we used our regular bed frame. Hubby and I made and upholstered a headboard that we attached to the wall. Hubby loves Thursdays and Fridays because he's off and we go together to pick up 3rd grader and he looks forward to that nap time. I make sure I set the alarm on my cell phone because I often fall asleep while I'm waiting. It's amazing how a 20 minute nap can refresh you.

Next to NCIS and CSI, The Defenders is my favorite show on TV. Jim Bilushi and Jerry McConnell are so good together. But I think you're right about the Friday night send off. They'll probably put on some great new 'reality' show on. I HATE 'reality' shows and who doesn't know that once a camera is turned on, 'reality' ceases to exist.

I loved the first episode of Harry's Law, but the episodes since then have been questionable at best. Another huge gaff Kmart made recently in my book, was that I got an email stating that they were having triple coupons, with the date, restrictions, rules. I spent probably 2 hours going through my coupons and another 2 carefully deciding what I actually needed at the store, went to the check out, waited in line and when it was my turn and they started taking off the coupons, they all rang up at face value. I was puttering around in the kitchen and halfway watching the ballgame and I heard loud snoring coming from the livingroom. I'm glad it wasn't just me who thought it was AWFUL! Why can't people sing it as it's written? Someone please show me where all those oh-so-many extra notes are in the sheet music, PLEASE!! Yes, it was awful. It was like she was 5 years old again and there was nothing I could do to make it better. Come to think of it, Hubby has been doing the beer thing for at least 2 years and hasn't had a bout in at least that long, so maybe there is something to it! Dang, it's worth a try!

I used to poo poo all the snow and ice reports, but with the snow and ice we've had in the two winters, 4 times I think, my ears perk up just a little more and I tend to pay a little more attention.

I love them too and most of the stuff I get is free except for shipping. I always get my son and grandkids personalized, printed birthday party invites and they are always free for 10, they hope you will order and pay for more, but we don't need more than that. I have gotten free birth announcements, t-shirts, pens, etc. We got an entire box of stuff one time and we only paid around $9.00 for shipping and that was after a coupon code.

Hubby does that too and he HATES beer, but it's certainly the lesser of the two evils.
