Liquor stores won't be required to be open, that will be their choice, just like buying it if you can find a store open, would be a choice, one that we don't have now. I will n ever get how it's a good idea to let people buy a drink at a restaurant on Sunday and not at a package store.

Like you, I'm not a bubble mom, but as a parent, I'd feel extremely irresponsible for not insisting that my son wear a helmet. We've been the pothole route as well and I saw with my own eyes neighbors running out of their houses to check on 3rd grader after he went over the handle bars onto his head on the pavement. They were more upset than I was because it looked bad. But he had a skinned elbow and chin and a cracked helmet. I'll take a cracked helmet over a cracked head any day. Aren't there rules about driving a golf cart? Do you have to be a certain age? Are there golf cart paths or are they driving these things on the road? Do you need a drivers license? I agree about kids being treasures. I sincerely believe that most people are of the mind, 'That won't happen to us'. Yea, thats what a lot of people think and I'll bet lots of those people have changed their tune when that something DID happen to their children. But, we all know I'm a whacko when it comes to my kids.

Hopefully that has been handled. He works for Waste Industries driving a truck and he picks up more cans than any other drive they have. He normally picks up 3 cans to everybody elses 1 and gets a bonus every 3 months because he always picks up the most. Customers love him and he's super reliable. Heck, he works when he's sick, goes in at 4:00am almost everyday and usually doesn't get home til at least 5:00pm. They love him and I know they don't want to lose him, but I think they act this way to keep him scared of losing his job and that just sucks.

Thanks ya'll. My daughter is all tucked in at home with the babies and feeling terrible that she can't be at the hospital. But as soon as she gets the girls on the bus in the morning, I'm getting the 2 year until dad is back at home, I figure that is one less thing she has to worry about. Hubby is out of town, so he can't help and the kicker is, is that he NEVER travels, but he had to be at a team building thing, which he loves......NOT! Anyway, it seems that if it's not one thing it's two.

I'm sure you're right and that makes this situation even worse.

I wrote last month about my SIL's tonsils becoming abscessed and it has happened again, but worse. The ENT said he needs to be on oral antibiotics for at least 48 hours and then his tonsils have to come out and they sent him directly to the hospital from the dr's office. SIL's work was acting a little snooty until the dr himself called and asked if he needed to speak to SIL's boss or to the HR dept directly and explained the situation and what needed to happen for SIL to get well. WTH are they doing on Jeopardy? I've seen the hype leading up to this farce of a game, but this is even stupider than I could have imagined. They are acting like this computer is a person and they seem so excited that it is winning. Am I missing something in the bigger picture here? It is really ridiculous. We left our last dr's office because of these salesmen. There were SOO many tromping in and out with food, perks, etc., they had no time for patients. We would make an appointment and literally wait for hours while salespeople went in by the droves. Our new dr. sets aside an hour a week to meet with salespeople and wo be unto you if you cold call him. I've seen him slam the door in the face of 2 salesmen while they were trying to talk to him and he was telling them no, no, no. I love him.

Who ARE these people? GEEEZ, apparently our law makers need to grow a set and stop acting like kitty cats and by kitty cats, I mean..........................

I keep hearing that she is perfectly fine, no stroke, etc. But SOMETHING happened to this poor woman. Drugs don't even make you act like that. I had a stroke when I was pregnant with 911 daughter and the EXACT SAME THING happened to me. I was alert, walking, I knew what I was trying to say, but I sounded just like the lady on TV and I was fine the next day. If she had an 'event', instead of denying it, this could be a great opportunity to help someone else by talking about it instead of sweeping it under the rug. They really need to explain this.
