I am so sad for you. We have never had to make that decision, but I know it's coming with our old faithful, mutty dog, Hanson. You're going to miss her, but be at peace with your decision, it was the right one. As I said before, this is one reason being an adult sucks sometimes!!

Exactly. Many years ago, I was a manager at a small rental car company and on any given day, I was picking up customers or washing cars. And if you want to gain respect as opposed to disdain from your employees, you need to be ready, willing and able to do their job as well as your own and you need to appreciate what they do for you and your company. Anything done well looks easy.

Undercover Boss, I swear it gets me every time. You have these bosses go in with the 'how hard can it be' attitude more often than not and they get their eyes opened by real people who are the ones keeping them in that CEO seat. It humbles them and they seem to appreciate what it takes to run their company at the end of the day.

Are you kidding me? Are you the new mod here on Pcom? Honestly, it's not your place to tell anyone what to or not to post on here. We're adults, we don't need a parent trying to teach us the evils of the internet.

NO. Her username is the exact opposite of what she is. What is your problem?

Why do you care? You must be getting something out of it or you wouldn't be reading it. You don't have to stay on here if you don't want to.

Yep. One reason, is that there is hardly anything else in the shopping center and one store front can't light up the whole place.

SIL is finally home from the hospital.....

I'm hi-jacking my own thread.........Hubby worked with your son sometime this week, but I forgot what he said they did. -
.........and I miss him terribly! He is such a joy to have around, he always smiles, he eats, he sleeps, he plays, he's wonderful. SIL got home late yesterday, but his pain med and antibiotic are making him sick, so they called in Zofran for him and that has helped a lot. He'll be off work for the next week and hopefully rest will get him back on his feet and feeling better in that time. The dr told them both that he had never seen a throat infection as severe and this having his tonsils out should make a huge difference in his life. Thank you all for the good wishes and concern!

I still want to know the age of the girl and I keep reading the article over and over and I have yet to see it. I keep thinking I have missed it, but it's not there. And I wonder if it's not there because the news wouldn't be quite so sensational if it was. I know from first hand experience that a reporter will skew a story to get the most outrage and mileage out of it. If this was girl was 17 and has all of her facilities, thats one thing. But if she was 10 or 12 and there were 4 'boys', I question the idea that it was consensual. My outrage was at the mothers attitude. Point blank -

But since the article doesn't say, she could be younger than 12 and with 4 boys and 1 girl, it could very well be that it wasn't consensual. But thats not the point I was trying make. The idea that this mother thinks that this kind of thing is how 'children learn' and that it's no big deal, is reprehensible. Is she going to realize that condoning this kind of thing at 13 could very well be the reason her son has 2 or 3 kids with different girls when he is 16 or 17? She is ignorant and stupid. -
Trust me when I tell you that you're not!!!!

Why do parents think this BS is OK? I just don't get it. I guess it's easier for kids to get their educations out in the world as opposed to having to teach your kids yourself. 'Oh, their just kids', parents who say that should be punched in the jaw and jailed. Did it say in the article how old the girl was? I've read it twice and didn't see it. -

They need to lock this woman up too, she is an idiot and the idea that she is 'raising' children, gives me chills ( and not the good kind). This sounds exactly like the ones I have. The first one I had scared me to death, I thought I had a brain tumor. Some of the worst ones I ever had came from driving down the road in the spring or fall and having the sunlight 'flash' through the thinned out foliage of the trees, especially in the mountains. It's weird because I can get a bad headache to where I have to lay down for a little bit, but there is a split second moment when you know it's going to be a migraine and if you've never had issues with migraines, it's hard to understand the difference. I'll say to Hubby, 'Geeez, my
