  1. Hubbys uncle was killed in a car wreck today. I have 3 people calling and telling me that I have to call and tell him the news, but half of Atlanta has no power, he's already worked 16 hours today and has no idea when he will be getting off because of all the storms and I can't call him and say, 'Hey Greg, your uncle died. Go back to work on those power lines'. I feel like the distraction would be too much and I'm not willing to put his life or any of his coworkers lives in jeopardy when I know he can't even get off because it's not an immediate family member. This is terrible, to have s
  2. I have huge boobs, but I also have brains, wonder where I fit in?
  3. Yea.....WTH is up with that? 'Soup chicken'? REALLY? It seems to me the person with the issue here is the one calling people names when they know nothing about them and assuming that a person is jealous when they couldn't be further from the truth. I'm jealous of no one, I have a hot model, lineman for a husband, I'm certainly not chopped liver and as for the money....I have all I need.
  4. I'll definitely update after we get home. Another funny name my BIL told us about was 'Holly Wanna Crack Ya', I'm guessing that is a play on 'Polly want a cracker'?
  5. The only reason anyone under 60 would 'hit' the Hef, is to get their name out there and for money. He seems like a very nice man, he's smart and kind, but come on.....what 25 year old REALLY wants to marry an 85 year old man besides for money and to further herself? It's sad for him that he can't really trust anyone, but I'm certain that he already knows that, thats why he always wants to cover his ass....ets when he gets involved with some chick young enough to be his great granddaughter. He doesn't have it too bad the way I see it and I don't care what she looks like, I wouldn't trade
  6. Thanks for the info. I have no idea what to expect. I'm not a rough and tumble gal normally, but it's different and not too expensive. I have no tattoos, but daughter and son in law have many, so maybe they'll let us in anyway!!!
  7. I have one that you can have. It's nice with a cover and instructions.
  8. You are correct....Hubby wants to invent 'mind bleach' for these very occasions!!
  9. I ALWAYS wear my sunglasses inside and in the dark, they are like a headband for me.
  10. My uncle was killed by a drunk driver when I was 9 years old and my cousin who was going to visit his wife and baby who were still in the hospital, was killed 3 days later by one. It was a bad time. I have no patience or sympathy for drunk drivers under any circumstances.
  11. Oh LORD......that is awful. Prayers and good wishes sent.
  12. My BIL was telling me some of the girls names on the team in Raleigh and my fav was Vaginamyte!! Honestly........who comes up with that?
  13. Now that they show the movie in most of the theaters and not just 2, it is no more crowded than a busy Friday night, it's just crowded with little kids instead of adults.
  14. I had NO IDEA that there was roller derby in Atlanta. It's a vast departure from anything we usually do and I'm SOOO looking forward to it! I'll let you know how it went!! Thanks!!!!
  15. I said the same thing!! I was a 'grandma' at 40 and wasn't having any part the granny thing, but my granddaughters call me Gampi and my 2 year old grandson will have no part of Gampi.......he calls me Nanny. NANNY!!!! I called my grandmother 'nanny' and she was 70 with white hair!! But in all honesty, I'd have white hair too if it wasn't for Sally Beauty Supply!!! Congratulations and believe me, when that baby wraps it's tiny fist around your heart, you won't care what it calls you!!!!!!!
  16. That is waaaay cool! What a kid!!!!! :clapping:
  17. Hubby and I are going to the Grand Hyatt in Atlanta on Friday night for our anniversary, 911 daughter and her hubby are keeping 4th grader. We're going to Mortons for dinner. And on Saturday night my daughter, hubby and 4th grader are meeting us for roller derby!!! I can't wait, we went when I was a little kid in California and my BIL went in Raleigh this past weekend and said it was a blast. I had no idea that Atlanta had such, but Hubby found it and got tickets. I feel like I need to get a tattoo before we go!!!!!!!
  18. Luke is totally the best, he is not only my groomer, but my friend as well. Love him!!!!
  19. Thats a great idea, try it and see. I wouldn't want a screaming, whining child in any movie free or not, but a talking, squirming 2 year old would be fine in this case. I think this weeks movie is Despicable Me, We're going on Thursday. Good luck and I would totally take him.
  20. That is correct! Of course my mind went blank when I was trying to type!!
  21. It has been a nightmare in the past, but last year and this they have really gotten it together. The movie starts at 10:00am, we got there last week at 9:30 and walked right in. Most of the theaters are showing the movie and we were the first ones in the particular one we chose. There is a long line for free popcorn if you take a canned good, but we don't get the popcorn, we just leave the canned good and bypass all those people. The movie started on time and for free, it was well worth it to have something to do out of the heat. Also, my son is 9 and he still has no volume contr
  22. That would be a big fat NO, you are not!! This woman deserves something worse that was done to this poor baby! How on earth did they get 12 jurors who are supposedly far enough removed from this, to judge her fairly? Does anyone think shes not guilty? REALLY?
  23. Isn't that the coolest thing ever?!?!?!?!?!??!! We LOVED 4th graders teacher this year and wanted to get her something nice to say 'thank you' for helping him be so successful this year. (Gold Honor Roll all year). I went to the same counter wanting to get her a bracelet and I found the PERFECT one. It was heavy sterling braided bracelet with a peace sigh charm on the end. It was originally $175.00 and with all my discounts, I walked out with it for $22.00. Your deals were way better than mine, but I was still so very pleased with my bargain. LOVE Kohls!!!
