She's something, thats for sure!! To top it off, when she came out in her dress, it was exactly her, but the exact opposite of any bridal dress I had ever seen! A beautiful silk, leopard print, halter..........for a December wedding, it couldn't have been more perfect!!

We had one real wedding and one at the judges office. I planned my oldest daughters wedding and we started with her dress. That can drive the rest of the wedding as far as the style, either simple or elegant. Her dress had tiny daisies embroidered around the neck and when we chose her invitations, they were cream colored, just like her dress, with embossed daisies in one corner. She was super easy and I made most of the decisions on my own, which worked out REALLY well! Lots of tiny details, keep a notebook and take pics when you can, swatches of fabric, colors, phone numbers, etc., ke

Son in law has to be at work at 2:40 in the morning because they have to have all the trash picked up by noon, it seems that they are closing many of the roads to film.

This was so sad anyway, but this video has me and both my daughters sobbing. All I can think about is his poor mother, I know he'll be missed by many, but being a mom, thats where my heart goes. :(

Hubby has always been very consistent in the 'type' of woman he likes. Short, curvy, with long dark hair. I can pick out the girl in a crowd he's going to look at before he does. He does like redheads a lot, but not blonds usually. But looking and lusting aren't the same thing, every man is going to look unless he's blind. Saying a woman is attractive or hot or whatever word he chooses, isn't the same thing as saying he'd like to 'tap' that. Some things are just disrespectful and shouldn't be tolerated. Hubby has always told me that all men are dogs, even him, I just choose not to

My son in law detailed my car last week and he put Fabreeze air fresheners in it and they smell like clean laundry, I love them!!!!
-
YAY!!!! I'm so excited for you!!!!

Thats what I think too!!!!!!!!!! This guy is such an idiot that he really thinks this is 'true love'? It's called a career move darlin', one on her part. Get a grip.

In theory, zero tolerance sounds like a good idea, but when you are talking about a kid who has a butter knife in his car on school property because he tightened up his battery terminal with it and tossed it in the back seat and he gets the same punishment as the kid that brings a gun to school in his back pack, then I have a problem with it. Good policy has to be tempered with good sense and unfortunately thats not the case a lot of the time.

Do you say "I love you"? did your parents?

My Mom always told us, no matter what. I don't think Hubbys dad said it much, until he got very old ans was almost dead. I tell my kids, grandkids and Hubby all the time. None of us ever get off the phone without saying it, because you never know what can happen. At night before bed, before anyone leaves the house and the thing is, we say it and mean it, it's not an off handed remark. My grown daughters end texts with it when they text me. It's important to know you're loved regardless of how old you are. Even at 9 years old, 4th grader will hug, me, Hubby, his sisters and brother in law -
I just got off the phone with Hubbys cousin and this gets worse. As I said before, they were coming home from Tybee in separate cars and his wife was behind him. She came upon this terrible accident and since it was in the lane going the other direction, she didn't think much about it, she couldn't see any cars for the emergency vehicles, so she went on her way, not realizing that the median had been crossed. And then arrived home to fine her Hubby not there and the police walked up the driveway right behind her. I guess they were waiting on her and she didn't realize it. MAAAAAAAAN!!

We started using more store brands, some I didn't like, others I like more than the name brand. That can saves a bundle. I've always been a big clearance shopper, but now unless I have a coupon or the clearance is an extra percentage off, I don't buy it. I use sore loyalty cards more than ever and they often send you coupons as well.

It almost killed me when my sister died, but with a blood clot she could have had a stroke and been unresponsive for years and years, so for her, it was the best way to go. She was happy, she passed out and poof, gone. YUK!
-
You're welcome!

You absolutely can find suitable things, but these days you actually have to LOOK for them. Used to, you could go to the store, pick something out and be done with it. Not now. I went to 5 stores looking for my 8 year old granddaughter sundresses, plain old sundresses, in May. Never found what I was looking for, I settled with the attitude 'this will do'. I did find clothes with shredded and jagged edges, chains, skulls, torn lace, etc. and that was at Kohls, I was shocked. I think Madonna supplied all that I found there.

Thats is fine, you're behind Walmart right? And I did get tomatoes from you, you are correct!

We've had to deal with terminal illness as well and like you, I have come to the same conclusion..........DEATH SUCKS! Hubbys dad died of lung cancer a month and a half after my sister suddenly died of a blood clot. It was a double whammy and was one easier than the other? No, except we weren't blindsided by his dads death, but in the end they were both just as gone. Us either. We buckle up if we're driving from Sams to Home Depot in Hiram, we seem to do it without thinking. Thank you everyone for all your kind words, it really does help to know that other people care.
-
The most terrible part about a sudden death is the fact that for several mornings after the shock, you have to remember again every morning when you wake up and it's that same shock again and again. It's awful. I'm sorry for your loss as well.
-
Thank you for posting this and you can leave it. We have since found out that he wasn't wearing a seat belt. For goodness sake people, PLEASE BUCKLE UP!! We used to tell our girls that the car wouldn't start or run if all the seat belts weren't fastened.

Thank you everyone for your support. Hubby is finally home and he knows. It's a sad situation. His uncle and aunt were on their way home from Tybee island in separate cars, she arrived home in Marietta and he wasn't there and was on the phone with her daughter to see if he had stopped by her house and the police came while she was on the phone. They think that he had a medical event, crossed the center line and had a head on collision near Savannah, so it happened pretty quickly after they left to come hpme. There were no other fatalities, but I don't know how bad anyone else was injure

My son in law bounded up the stairs just a minute ago and was concerned that someone else would call and tell him. Luckily, he gives his cell number to no one, his mom doesn't even have it, so thats one less thing I have to worry about.

Thank you!

Thanks ya'll, my chest is hurting and I feel sick. This is awful news to sit on.

You are correct madam!
