  1. But it's so much easier for people to judge you than to know the real story. You shouldn't have to pawn your wedding rings or sell a paid for vehicle while you are trying to get back on your feet and it's ridiculous for people to think you should. It sickens me that so many have the 'oh, their deadbeats and leaches', attitude. Until you walk in someone elses shoes, judgement and selfishness should be kept in your pocket or under your hat. Good luck to you and your family.
  2. My question too. The first of the month has nothing to do with people using food stamps and it doesn't take any longer to use an EBT card than it does to use a regular debit card. And unless you're a nosey-rosey, you wouldn't notice anyway. I don't make my business to scrutinize the form of payment of the person in front of me.
  3. It was a little off putting to read the entire article and see that he still golfs at Peachtree Country Club and in his tiny mind, he seems to blame his predicament on the banks for lending him the money as opposed to his failure to pay it back. WTH!?!
  4. What is the deal with womens boots with the zipper on the outside of your leg instead of on the inner side? HATE them.
  5. Could you please provide a link or some proof that kids who get free lunch, get a computer and free high speed internet? And the Comcast is owned by a local county commissioner? I know several children who have free lunch and they have no computer or high speed internet.
  6. The article also said that the Candler children sold Coke to Woodruff in 1919 for 25 million dollars, before it became the worldwide entity it is now. Apparently, this Candler was heavy into real estate development and lost his behind just like everyone did. I do find it hard to believe that he is destitute.
  7. I'm sure we're in the minority, but I agree with you.
  8. Could be considered middle class? SERIOUSLY?! Every state isn't New York, which seems to be your basis for this argument. I could consider myself tall and blond, but that won't make it true.
  9. It may not be ridiculous in your world, it is in mine and probably most people reading this topic.
  10. That's still ridiculous, $200,000 isn't middle class even on the high side of it. The man is delusional if he believes it is.
  11. Well, if that's what he thinks, he's dumber than I thought. W-H-O in their right mind would think, much less say, something sooo incredibly short sighted and stupid, especially if you want to be the next President? It just hits home the fact that he is too far removed from reality and the average person to lead this country.
  12. This is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO stupid, it's not his business what anybody drinks. We bought drinks at QT last week and the clerk said, 'If you were in NYC you couldn't buy those, you'd have to buy 2 small ones'. What a load!
  13. Bless her/his heart. It's like puttin' lipstick on a pig........... Ooooh myyyyyy!!
  14. I agree with most everything posted here. You speed, you get stopped, you show your license. The end. Whose to say that every single person speeding won't pull the same sob story? If she had have complied in a timely manner, she could have been on her way, buuuuut nooooooooooo, she argued, acted bad and she paid for that behavior. And for the record, I prefer 'pee' as well.
  15. Protesters stormed the embassy in Yemen, I guess they need to be leveled too.
  16. It's ridiculous to consider bombing anyone because of the actions of a few. What happened in Libya is horrible and uncalled for, but you can't level a country because a bunch of zealots chose to be violent. There have been times at different places around this very country where angry, violent mobs have acted despicably......when the Rodney King verdict was read, LA almost imploded on itself mobs were so out of control. When a team wins the World Series or the Super Bowl, mobs have taken to the streets, set fires, caused death and destruction and nobody even considered bombing an entire city b
  17. Thank you! When the schedule started evolving into what it is now, Hubby and I had many conversations about it. Parents panic when they hear 'year round school' for some reason. I've heard arguments as to how they were going to handle day care, to it's just too much for the kids. But when you compare our calendar to that of a recognized year round calendar, they are very similar. I love the calendar because I love the breaks at odd times when no one else is out of school. We're going to Washington DC on the break week after next and are checking into a cruise on the February break. And even if
  18. SSSSHHHHHHH, don't tell anybody, but the way the summer has been cut down to 8 weeks and they are out a week in September, a week in November, 2 weeks at Christmas and New Years, a week in February, a week in April and out at the end of May, year round school has arrived in Paulding County. It's just that when you call it that, people have a nervous breakdown. I have a friend whose children go year round and their schedule is almost exactly the same as ours except that they get an extra week at Christmas. Think about it.
  19. Good heavens, I forgot all about this. My daughter never remembers anything and she came in about 11:45, I asked her where she was going, 'To get the kids Mom, they get out at 12:30'. I can't accuse her of being absent minded for a while. This knee business has me all screwed up.
  20. These aren't my pants! We used to watch Cops years ago and I swear I can't count the times that drugs or a weapon was found in some guys pants and those were the same words over and over again. 'I promise officer, these aren't my pants'. Seriously dude, whose pants are they?!
  21. I feel exactly the same way, my house, not yours, don't show up uninvited. I don't want to hear the sob story, 'Oh they're just trying to make a living'. Outside my circle, especially after 9PM.
