  1. My SIL wears a 15 and it's almost impossible to find shoes in a store. Oddly enough, the ONLY place we cam find them is at Ross. They have a section for 13 and above and we have had a good bit of luck finding shoes there. And so far, they've all been less than $40.00. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!
  2. My thought too. It almost sounds like he was at the very party enjoying the hosts hospitality that he's griping about. HHHHMMMMMM?!
  3. So, now many Americans who are truly in need will go hungry and corporate farms are getting more money? I think I must not understand this correctly.
  4. Here is their web site and you don't need to go on FB. http://smallcakescupcakery.com/
  5. My MIL bought one about 5 years ago and hated it. She gave it to us and we love it!!! I think it's 3-4 inches and I couldn't sleep without it, she got it at Kohls. Good luck!
  6. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER tell 2 men, regardless of how they are dressed, your husband isn't home and then what time he'll be there. He's in the shower, on a business call, in the hot tub, whatever.
  7. Paulding county will never have enough well paying jobs to support all who want to live here. We are on the outskirts of the suburbs and when you move here you should know that. People come here because they don't want to live in or near the city. You can't have it both ways.
  8. So I guess Walmart has the only employees who get benefits from the government? ANY retail establishment is going to have people who get food stamps or Medicaid. The reason? Retail doesn't pay enough, it never has and it never will. It's easy to say over and over again that people need to get more education to get a better paying job, but then who would check out all of us bargain hunters at Ross or Marshalls? Walmart is an easy target because it's so huge, but their employees are no different than any other retail workers. Bottom line, there is no money for the regular worker in retail.
  9. Hubby was talking about this yesterday, we were driving through our neighboehood after a trip to the store, he waved at two different sets of people and I know they were looking right at us and he got NO response from either. So not cool.
  10. Yep, us too. I would have no problem invading the mens room if I thought that there was a problem.
  11. And that experience sucks. You give someone you love opportunity after opportunity to actually pick you instead of drugs and bad behavior and you finally realize that it's never going to happen. In MIL's circles, I'm the big bad wolf and won't let her son talk to her. But if she really knew her son at all, she'd know better, he got fed up too. The whole situation is just sad, she doesn't seem to realize what shes lost.
  12. Caring too much for my MIL almost sent me to an early grave. Her many addictions, her self centered attitude, her REALLY bad behavior, being mean, etc., literally took over our lives for almost 6 years. It came to the point that her bad acts caused us to miss out on our own childrens needs as well as ours as husband and wife. Hubby has 2 other brothers and a sister, but since I didn't work, it fell to me almost 100% of the time. Every single day it was something, over doses, hallucinations, very abnormal behavior to the point that her neighbors would call me to handle it, physical attacks, the
  13. My thinking as well, why was the well dog taken ANYWHERE? I think she took responsibility for putting them to sleep as in, 'Yes, I euthanized them', not necessarily for the entire debacle. And as far as there being 'too many questions', I'm right there with you on that one. Someone needs to get to the bottom of this ASAP. I think people are keeping their mouths shut trying to cover their own a$$es.
  14.  Thanks, I now have Sunkist on my computer screen!!!!!
  15. Well, I'm certain I don't agree. Dr. Lugar , as well as many other vets, are tasked with a terrible job, especially for people who obviously love animals or they would have chosen a different profession. Why on earth these dogs were taken to the vet on death day when one only had an eye issue and there was NOTHING wrong with the other one? Was Dr. Lugar supposed to read the minds of the animal control people and not kill every dog they brought? SHE SHOULD HAVE BEEN INFORMED UPFRONT IMMEDIATELY that there were two 'no kill' dogs included in the doomed bunch. How the HE!! was she supposed t
  16. Hey, I have an idea, let's screw the very ones who volunteered to serve our country. There is so much waste in Washington and there has been forever, not just under Obama, it's nauseating. There is money there, it's just sooo mismanaged on so many levels and no one seems to care.
  17. Unfortunately, you don't have to be nice to own/have/run a business. I've come into contact with one too many who weren't. But it's ridiculous to own a business and not have a good attitude. Some people tend to forget that your customers can make or BREAK you pretty fast.
  18. Agree 100%. Dr. Lugar should NOT shoulder the entire blame for this.
  19. In Hubbys case, just to complicate things, he'd been giving blood since he was 19 every 56 days or whatever the interval must be to give again. So, after the initial phone call, he had to be inspected by a company nurse and there were all the marks from years of being a blood donor. Once again, luckily, he had his blood card showing how often he gave and nothing came of it. And like LPPT said, when medical professionals think you're a drug user, their attitudes change rapidly, until of course they're put in their place by proof that you're not. You'd think they would have proof before jum
  20. You are absolutely wrong. This is not par for the course for this vet. Dr. Lugar has been in practice for many, many, many years and I've never heard anything remotely like this happening because of her. You're the one who took your pregnant dog to the vet to be spayed, she had no choice as to the outcome once your dog was opened up. You're the one at fault for the loss of the puppies, not her.
  21. THANK YOU! And it is getting on my nerves for people to continue to talk about what she charges. Should she be a vet for free? If you don't like what she charges, go elsewhere. Animals cost money and if you can't afford them, don't have them.
  22. Georgia Power has a random drug testing policy and many years ago, Hubby had a false positive from poppy seeds. He had eaten 6 poppy seed muffins that I made him in the morning and had a random drug test in the afternoon. We thought nothing of it until about a week later when we got a call from an out of state drug treatment facility asking when he could report for treatment in order to save his job. We honestly thought his buddies at work were playing a prank. Luckily, his bosses didn't believe it and I worked for a lady who's husband was a dr. and worked for OSHA. He called me the nex
