  1. Hubby and my grandson went on a grub hunt and they've already gotten over 60 off the driveway and side yard. They put them in a bag and it's tooooooooooooo G-R-R-O-O-O-O-O-S-S-S-S!!!!!!!
  2. Then Walmart should have stuck to that limit. However, maybe we agree on how I think it should be handled, I'll go first. This is all on record as to how much who spent and if you had $45.00 to spend and you spent $550.00, it should be taken out of future payments. They stole the things in their cart that were more than they had and I'm sure most knew that what their limit was and took huge advantage. I have no problem getting food stamps, I do have a problem with thieves. I wondered that too.
  3. Thank you! I was lamenting that I felt bad about leaving and tonsil daughter said, 'Really Mom? Sounds like the best time to leave to me, we'll be fine'. So, I'm packin' fast and not lookin' back!!
  4. Just make sure you stay there until this passes!!! It's good that people feel so passionate about what they believe in, but sometimes, as you know, these kinds of discussions melt into name calling and bad feelings. Hopefully this one will be different, good luck!!!
  5. Why on earth do people do that when there is an obvious reason for a slow down? Especially, when people are working in the middle of the road. The kicker is, is that many more people would be waaay more upset if this was going on during the day when people were trying to get to or from work or school. While it's been inconvenient and it's made Hubby get home later than usual twice, it's better to be done in the middle of the night and it's not like it's going to last forever. I always wonder why the guy who's honking believes that his time is more important than anyone elses.
  6. The last 2 times it's rained, these FAT, white grubby looking things converge on our driveway and if you have the nerve to step on them, they make a BIG mess. There are 10/15 out there now and it looks like something out of a bad movie. YUK!!
  7. Discuss this topic in a cordial manner?? Have you been on Pcom before!!??
  8. The puking boy has no fever, that's good. Earache girl has been on meds since yesterday, tonsil gal is on the back end of recovery after 10 days, but she still feels bad and pup is off to the vet this morning. And the 2 girls are my babysitters!
  9. ................and I have 1 kid that's been puking since 2:30am, 1 with a painful ear infection, 1 recovering from having her tonsils out last week and a limping dog who has apparently injured her eye somehow. SERIOUSLY?!?!?!?!?!
  10. You and me both! You NEVER, EVER know what someone else is dealing with and everyone who has a phone pays the fee. So, if someone you know needs one, why is there a stigma attached to it? It makes me ill that people think they know so much and assume if you have a Lifeline phone you're certainly a deadbeat sucking the govt teat. When in fact they don't even know or care to learn where the money really comes from. For some people, the fall from that high horse might hurt one day. Oh yea and I know all about Shaniquia and her fake nails talking on her free govt phone while using food stamps
  11. Indoor rock climbing in Kennesaw. http://www.escaladegym.com/
  12. Thanks y'all, I bought a new set and they charged like they were supposed to. I probably wore the other ones out.
  13. I have used rechargable batteries in my camera forever, I switch between 2 sets so I'll always have a set ready to go. I tried to charge one set just now and the charger has the red light on and it sounds like it's charging then it just powers off and nothing. Usually it charges and a green light comes on in about 15/20 minutes. Is there a limit to the number times they can be recharged? Can I buy just the batteries and use the same charger? Is there a shelf life to rechargables?
  14. AAAWWWW........your new avitar just made me weepy, I wasn't expecting to see a pic of your dad. Bless your heart!
  15. Regardless of what side you're on in this debate, one thing I'm certain of is that this is not a black and white issue and it's stupid to treat it like it is. 'I'm right, this is horrible' or 'No, I'm right, it's the best thing ever', are both ignorant attitudes. This is a huge gray entity because I know people personally who have been unable to get or afford ins for years and now they will have it at a rate that they can pay and are tickled pink because of it. You're going to begrudge some that? Not me. Then there are the ones that believe every article written by anyone with an agenda a
  16. Well they sure have been flying under that radar for a long time!
  17. I'm right by the old Abney and I haven't heard anything, but I'm interested to know as well.
  18. No clue, but it's scary as He!! I'll tell ya'. I can only imagine how I'd react if one of these evil girls belonged to me. They're sociopaths.
  19. I wasn't talking about me, I have no issue with school tax. I was making the point of being required to pay for something you obviously don't need or use.
  20. Me neither. As a parent of a 12 year old boy, I pry, ask questions, know who he is associating with, where he is at all times and that's usually with me, his dad or his sisters. He is allowed to watch appropriate videos on youtube (we have a pass word that only Hubby and I know ans parental settings), the computer he is allowed to use is in the living room and as many people that we have here, he's never in there alone. And he certainly doesn't have a FB account and no phone to text on. Who does a 12 year old text anyway? Maybe I'm still in the dark ages, but if more parents didn't use a compu
