Holy moly, that IS creepy, gross and disturbing!!! It makes you wonder if the people who approve commercials actually ever watch the finished product.

I really wish that someone from the PCSD would get on here and explain that mind set........'we didn't see it happen, so there's nothing we can do'. One of the last times I called them, I was frustrated with that pat answer and asked the officers how many times they'd been called to the house I had called about (literally, the police are there at least once a month for domestic issues, they can't find a kid, etc.) and how many they'd been called to mine (none) and this moron had the nerve to tell me that they had no idea as to the calls, issues or inhabitants at any residence they 'roll up on'

what do you think about the goverment shutdown?
dawneykids replied to Mrskittycat's topic in RECENT TOPICS
It is for sure. And if no one wants this, like it's being hyped in the media and like so many on here believe, then why is it crashing because so many people are trying to sign up, in much greater numbers than even the govt expected? Yea, sounds like an unwanted plan to me. -
It's going to be real tragedy and a crime one day when one of this nutbags bullets falls to the ground and kills an innocent person. Some people don't have the sense God gave them and those are people who DO NOT need to have a weapon of any kind. I hope it never comes to that. And as far as the PCSD is concerned, apparently you can commit practically any crime and unless they see it happen or you have a picture, nothing can be done. I've been told that too, on more than one occasion. WTH is that about? So, if there is a murder and they don't see it happen, there's nothing they can do? I h

I don't care how much perfume or aftershave you wear, it never covers BO. And BO + a strong scent is gagging material. I'm sorry, but there is no reason to stink. EVER. Hubby has worked outside for 30 years and NO ONCE has he ever smelled bad when he came home. I do tell him sometimes that he smells like 'Ga Power' because he'll smell metallic or like oil, but NEVER BO. YUK!

Yes it is. You do realize that a bullet that comes out of a gun has to land somewhere, right? Responsible gun owners know what is allowed and what isn't where discharging a firearm is concerned and if I wasn't a gun owner and didn't know those rules and laws, I wouldn't be giving advice to anyone.

'Look Ma, no hands'!!

OMG, that's what Hubby said!!!!!!

Am I the only person who wears socks that match?
dawneykids replied to dawneykids's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Been there, done that!! But I only found mine when it was trailing out if my pants over my high heels. Not a look to go for!!!! So does Hubby!!! I buy middleschooler 12 pair of the same socks so they'll always match and if he needs dress socks, he gets 1 brown, 1 black, and 1 tan. Sounds like a plan to me. Maybe not a good plan........but a plan!!!  Hubby is SOOO picky about socks and the ones he likes are expensive and he only gets socks for Christmas too. Now that I haven't seen. -

Oh yea......you can. At Walgreens they were $7.00 for a pack of 10, 5 pr. But since none matched, I bought 2 packs so there would be 10 matching pairs. But, now there's just 20 willy nilly socks! -
I bought my granddaughter socks at Walgreens and I ended up getting 2 packs of the same thing because one pack had nothing that matched. Well, now she has 20 pair of socks that never MATCH, apparently that's the style. Hate it!!
-
Oh, OK, I got it! The names have to match, not the seals. DUH!!
-
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!!! You can't just fire a gun willy nilly and I seriously doubt that some of the people handing out the 'free advice' have no clue as to the gun laws in GA. Because if they did, they wouldn't be spouting such nonsense in telling people to act illegally if someone is touching their stuff.
-
If you were born in New York and have a birth cert with that state seal and you live in GA, how are those two state seals supposed to match?
-
Hubby has one of those that our daughter got him for Christmas.

Reasons for Veteran Suicides?
dawneykids replied to DomesticViolenceByProxy's topic in RECENT TOPICS
And the commentary in the video said that he made $45,000.00 a year, so that guy wasn't out of work OR looking for a job, he obviously had one. But he didn't want to pay child support, so he killed himself? How selfish is that? -
Exactly. You can't shoot someone for taking a gas cap. Well, you can, but then you'll go to jail.

dawneykids replied to Mrskittycat's topic in RECENT TOPICS
No, it's a bazillion, gazillion is after that. -
That was the point I was trying to make too.
-
Do you live near the sub station on Due West? I know they hum.
-
Unless it's a carjacking, an armed robbery or something if the like, you can't can shoot someone to protect your property. You have to be in fear for your life and not protecting stuff. And is it such a good idea to say on an open chat board that you're planning to shoot someone who's stealing your stuff and not threatening you outright? I'm thinkin' no.
-
I feel like that if I have it to give or whatever means to help now, that's my chance, because tomorrow it could be me who needs something.
-
FYI.........you can get certified copies of a birth cert for anyone born in the entire state of GA at the PC courthouse. The first copy is $25.00 and additional ones are $5.00. You can also apply for a passport or a passport card in the same building, just on a different floor. We got passport cards to go on our cruise week after next and it was a breeze.

I agree, it's horrible when you are trying and you're turned down because you make $11.00 to much for any help and the broad down the road keeps having kid after kid just to get a bigger check every month. And as far as family helping family, we're in that boat now. My daughters husband lost his job, we tried to keep them in their house, but after several months, they had to move in with us because we couldn't keep 2 households going. He was out of work for 7 months, he worked several days on jobs the labor board sent him on, but there was no steady income. And after that long, it takes a
