  1. **raises hand** My Best Friend growing up, brother had them FREQUENTLY. He had Grand Mal Seizures. When he had one, we had to clear everything out of the way and let it "pass". He would sleep for hours afterward. My daughter has a history of abnormal EEG's, therefore, they told me that she could, one day, begin having seizures. Knock on wood, has had none so far, but, we do have to take precautions (like she can't swim/bath alone, cause water can "trigger" them). Not sure what info you are looking for, but, hope that helps.
  2. A patient can not be life-flighted until stable. I would take the statement as the child was no where near stable to be life flighted out. Since Paulding isn't really equipped or considered a "trauma" hosptial (that is not meant in a bad way) usually when someone is taken there with a serious injury/issues, it is to be stabalized and flown out. I know of a heart patient that was rushed there, stabalized and flown out....
  3. I haven't read everyone's response, but, what I have done for my son is get him a pre-paid cell phone. The phone is with TMobile, and I pay $15 per month for unlimited texting, calls are .10 a minute, when used. My choice/reasoning on this method is he will always have a phone in an emergency to use. The can't use (well, aren't supposed too) the phone in school, so, why pay a large monthly bill for that service? He's had this for a year, and it has worked out great for him. I tried him on the Straight Talk $30 month package (1000 minutes/texts and internet), but, truth was he didn't us
  4. Back in my day (the 80's/90's) if Male's had one ear pierced (can't remember which side, cause I always thought it was stupid) it meant they were "gay" . Oh, and "back then" Males only got one ear peirced As far as the original poster, I'd also say pick your battles. today times, aren't like yesterdays times (unfortunetly). My son is 14 YO, has his own money, so, if he wanted it done, I'd make him pay w/ his money.
  5. Bradfords is very honest ~ I've used them in the past...they are located just past downtown Dallas, headed toward 278. I currently use C & G Automotive...Marty has been working on our vehicles for the past 2 years and done a AWESOME job. He warranties his work, and has never done anything that didn't need doing. As a matter of fact, he has my truck now ~ If your interested, I have a 20% off coupon here for them (came in the mail). He is located almost across from Moses Middle School. PM me if you want the coupon
  6. I have twins, and they are GREAT fun . Just some advise I dealt with that I will share with you. I had 2 cribs, however, they slept together until they were about 10-11 months old (and even at that age if they behaved they stayed in the same crib). I purchased diapers every few weeks in preperation...I had 2 older kids that used huggies, so, huggies is what I bought... Well, huggies didn't work for these 2, so, I had to take them ALL back to the store . They will be the best of friends. In the beginning, my had to be right next to each other at all times, from sleep to swings
  7. Unless they've changed their ways, the way budget billing works is: every month they add the current months charge to the previous 11 months then divide it by 12....I got so sick of still having different bills monthly (granted they weren't so high) that I just pay $200 every month and then I'm budged
  8. New look got the hubby all hot n bothered huh **thinkingmaybeIneedtochangehairsyle, putnoseringbackin**
  9. Well, where I grew up, there are a few funeral homes called : Amigone ~ yes, it is true
  10. I know several people who have gone, taken the meds, lost the weight (and a lot of it)...most have gained all and then some back. I know one person who went and kept the weight off. The pills help to supress the appetite, when the pills no longer "work" the people go back to eating like they did. It's all about the lifestyle change. Most of us know that, we just can't do it (raises hand as ME INCLUDED)
  11. Oh....your gonna be in trouble, now!
  12. It's been a few weeks since I logged in and watched, but, to those of you who were watching and stopped...a few weeks ago, the Mama Eagle was hit by an airplane and killed . Babies have been rescued, and are now in a Wildlife Center ~ should start flying in the next few weeks...they are flapping thier wings pretty good
  13. Walmart sells a single gold stud for $10 ~ it is small. That is the one I use when not working. If you need a clear, flat one, for work, I have a great website I order from.
  14. Hibbits (sp?) Sports has stuff too (although it is a little expensive there)
  15. check out the AAA website~ they offer discounted tickets...they also offer discounts on the park stay...may be worth paying the $50? membership to get the discounts. We stayed in Wilderness (cabins) and LOVED it! We would totally stay there again, and in a camper.
  16. So sad, I can't imagine losing one baby, much less two. NO ONE should ever have to go through this Prayers to this family~
  17. I had all 3 of my girls ear piercing done by the owner of Prestige Jewlers, in Hiram. All 3 girls were also done when they were either 4 or 6 months old (can't remember which, but, it was the "age limit" back then). My girls all LOVE their earrings
  18. First year it's cheaper, Second year its the same, Third year it's more. However, I don't plan on having a home phone that long, Even the third year is cheaper for me than my current plan w/ ATT. BUT, they told me that after the second year, you can call up and ask for the then "current" package deal . It goes up by $15 each year. But, I need a box that i can't find ANYWHERE ETA: As a side note, they are offering the DVR service for $9.99 x 6 months vs the $15, they will change it if you ask
  19. Yes, I've considered going without a phone line and using magic jack. But, to be totally honest, it's actually cheaper to go with the phone line (with comcast) than without...plus, at this time I still need a phone line at home. I've used majic jack, and have no problem with it, accept for the fact that it sometimes "knocks" off line and must be reset. I guess if it comes down to it, I will have to "rehire" ATT
  20. So, I have FIRED ATT and am going with Comcast (I think) ~ I am a stickler about renting things, and refuse to pay $7/mth box rental. I have looked and looked to no avail for a EMTA box (so you can have both Comcast Voice and Comcast Interent)....does anyone have one they are no longer using they would like to sell? Perhaps someone who used comcast, but no longer does? Thanks
  21. Oh, I LOVE the tat! I wanna do something w/ the kids names/initials/birthstone colors...I don't know. I'm still thinking (and have for the past 6 years ). Did you have Debi do the tat?
  22. Hurt like a $^$#& AFTER the fact, lol . Mine STILL hurts taking it in and out, BUT, I would still do it all over again. I still laugh about that day, To OP ~ go for it!
  23. When we had our issue, we had the septic tank pumped, and the water still "bubbled up" ~ so, we ran all new field lines. This was last year, at this time, and the cost of the materials alone was @ $1500 (of course, we "upgraded" to a better "tube"). Thank God my husband is a plumber and he and a few friends/relatives did the work themselves....I can't imagine what that would have cost to pay someone to do it Good luck
  24. If anyone wants to do this in New Hope (near Abney), I soooooo want to do this, but, would like someone to do it with also. Either EARLY am (like 5) or, later at night (around ~ I have the phone, I have the program, just need the motivation ~sigh~
