  1. how? I would LOVE to do this....please message me how you got ur I phone to work w/ them, would LOVE to do it with mine
  2. Interesting....my daughter's handwritting is PITIFUL, to the point that it is sometimes not even ledgible (she tries to erase, but, doesn't get it all, then writes over it, spacing is awful, etc)...wonder if this could be the cause? Please PM me more info fishnthec.... ETA: she is ADHD, Asperger's, Tourette's and history of abnormal brain waves (with no seizure activity)
  3. I used it and it was fine (did have static moments). I returned it only because we decided to stay w/ our home phone. Now, however, I am going to get/try the Magic Jack plus that will work WITHOUT your computer remaining on! Found it at radio shack.
  4. Did you steal my daughter? These are all very rare occurrences in girls. Im willing to bet there is probably some autism going on there too. I pmd you
  5. careful doing that, i know someone who rebuilt their house, using the foundation remaining, afterward, and the insurance company would never insure the house because of it.
  6. here's a few, off the top of my head, I've seen pass through 1) use SPELL CHECK and have someone proof read your Resume 2) if YOU are looking for a job, drop off YOUR resume, don't have your husband/sister/brother drop it off 3) if you are walking into places asking "are you hiring"...have a copy of your resume on hand to pass over. Don't hand me your resume and ask me to make a copy
  7. I thought that any unattended death required an autopsy? Obviously, a person who was sick for a long time, "waiting" to die, would not require a autopsy (Dr. would verify death to authorities)...however, self inflicted or otherwise would require an autopsy to verify no "foul play", wouldn't it? That used to be the case
  8. I guess I did then. I thought your question was why do you need a debit when you can just use your CC and pay it off. Sorry
  9. I TOTALLY understand what you are saying, we did this for a LONG time (used the CC for all purchases). I, personally, just started using a debit card about 6 mths ago, at my husbands insistance about me living in the old days, lol . What I prefer about using a debit card is I NEVER go over what I have to spend (cause I always have my checkbook to write it in) I have, in the past, used the credit card "wastefully", per say (meaning, I had $XX on it and forgot about the purchase and made another purchase. When it was time to pay the bill, I was freaking out becuase the money was cut way to
  10. If you don't mind it not being "local", then I would HIGHLY recommend Ally bank (it's online). They have the best interest rates around and everything is free. We have had our checks set up for Direct Deposit. We have opened a FREE Savings account at a local bank,so, if we need too, we can transfer money in and out of the Ally Account. Ally does not charge for Debit Card usage, and you can use it at any ATM. They will "charge" you a ATM fee, but, at the end of the month, that all gets refunded back to you. We don't use ATM's, so, that doesn't matter to us.
  11. Honestly, I don't remember....my kids go to Abney, and the note said it was for Burnt Hickory ~ I emailed to ask if there were any closer "groups" and nothing. Seems to me that this same thing happened to me last year. I wanna say the last name was Gil...... My girls too...they want to join so bad.
  12. yeah, my girls want to join too ~ they had a sheet sent home last week from school with a email address. Emailed the leader and never heard back from them Why get the children's hopes up?
  13. Reread the letter....there will be a debit card fee, no matter what. The fee that is waived for direct depost is the monthly account fee. Just got my letter today. My solution? I just opened up a FREE, interest bearing account online with Ally bank. FREE checks, FREE debit card, FREE ATM use (they refund any fees at the end of the month)...I've had GREAT luck w/ my savings/CD's that are with them, so, time to move my checking there too. I'm cheap, I REFUSE to pay a bank to hold my money
  14. The Thrift Store in the Paulding Plaza helps people out ~ I **think** she works with the battered women's shelter too. There is also GoodWill in Hiram ~
  15. I have slowly worked our insurance limits up, in preperation for a umbrella policy (under homeowners). My comp is 250/500/100; Med Payments $5000; Uninusured Motorist is $100/300/25 w/ $250 Ded; Comp Ded is $100; Collision is $500. My ins companies (home and vehicle) worked with me on my limits...I told them what I wanted and why, what I drove and what they are worth, and they told me what I should get. I chose the $25 UM because our vehicles are worth less than that at this point (and paid off)...so, it would make no sense to have $100k in coverage for a $15k vehicle. Unfortunetl
  16. My 7 and 11 Year Olds go to bed at 7:30....GENERALLY asleep by 8 - 8:30 (the 7 YO's)...the 11 YO has sleep issues and is usually asleep by 10 - 11. My 14 YO goes to bed @ 10 and reads til he gets tired.
  17. Interesting~ I am always checking my balance online. It showes the "pendng" at the top....if I go to lunch and come home, it is usually there almost immediatly (in pending). Under the pending, is a list of everything that cashed/cleared. In the upper right it gives me a total of what is showing in the bank (includes money in the pending) and what is available (which is what they will allow to be used; or minus what is listed in the debit section). Does that make sense? Now, you said you recieved paperwork from suntrust, today. I haven't (yet)...please do let me know what it is all
  18. Agreed, I guess, though, personally, we have never done that (thankfully~knock on wood). However, that still is not them (the bank) causing the overdraft...that is "your" (account holder) error causing the overdraft. Don't get me wrong, I think the banks can be crazy/crooked, but, this is one of those times that I don't agree with what that particular posted said
  19. Interesting, although, that isn't how my bank works (Suntrust)...I always use the debit card (as a credit) and have never had it appear on my account 2 times. I have only once (at the age of 19) bounced a check...it was a stupid error and I cried I was so embarassed
  20. Please explain this, becuase it makes no sense to me. How can they make more money by CAUSING an over draft? THEY don't cause an overdraft....YOU (account owners) cause an Overdraft by not having enough money in the account to cover the transaction. Maybe I still live in the "old days", but, If I have $150 balance and use my "debit/credit card" for $100, I realize (and write in my register) that I only have $50 left to spend.
  21. Insurance won't pay for a SPORTS physical, however, if he hasn't had his annual pysical, you can take him in for that. The Dr's office can then fill out the sports form
  22. Also, make sure that you ask your pediatrician to refer you out to someone who specializes in ADHD. My daughter was dx by the pediatrician. We then followed up with a psyciatrist (in December of her Kindergarten year)...this was followed up by seeing a developmental pediatrician as well as a psycologist and neuropsychologist. She has also seen a neurologist. While your case/issues may not be as extreme as one child, make sure the person dx has experience. Good luck.
  23. Wow~ just wow! Made up, really? Spend a day with a child who has this "made up disease" along with some of the other "issues" that go along with it and you'll realize that while it is definitly, something that alot of people use as an "excuse" for meds, it's definitly a reality of some peoples everyday life. I can GUARANTEE you that my child would MUCH rather have nothing then live the life she is trying to get through daily due to her disability, which includeds ADHD/ODD. I hope you never have to find out the hard way, that it is real.
