Enjoyed the gyro plate and greek potatoes tonight myself. Cant beat the portion size and quality for 13 bucks. -
Thanks K96, i tried to check out the City of Hiram's website, but it isnt working for me.
-
See, i dunno, this is my first ticket in Georgia. I have one other elsewhere but it was <10 mph over the limit, so it didnt cost me any points at the time.
-
I ran a stop sign tonight and one of Hiram's finest pulled me over for it. What kind of damage am i looking at cost and point wise? Officer was courteous and respectful but had to give me a ticket. He thanked me for being the same to him and i told him my LEO family would be disappointed if i wasnt. For the situation, it was a positive interaction.

speedy trial? how long has it been? almost 2.5 years? the prosecutors had the same mediocre evidence that all the citizens do who are proclaiming that she is really guilty. in their greed to seek the death penalty instead of life, they sacrificed a winnable case.

ugh, wish i had known about this before trying to drive through Cedartown last night. downtown was a bit of a mess.

that is Dr. Vu's new office, she is moving out of the strip mall to her own place up front. The office hoped to be in there by August, but i doubt it will. as Bigfoot says, that will be a school. even has a sign out front that says "future school" or something along that line. edited: left out a word the first time.

the breathalyzer was made for you to fail? that is what i understood that Mr. Lowe refused to take. If he was innocent, i would have thought he'd have volunteered to take the breathalyzer.

FYI, went to go fill up there, and all the pumps were covered with plastic bags.

The Appy League? Almost went to watch a game in that league when I worked a while in Greensboro, NC a few years ago. Watched games in Greensboro and Winston-Salem(old Ernie Shore park) but never made it ot Durham to watch a game at their new park; I am bummed out about that one.

Yukon-that sounds like a fun trip. Minor League Baseball is a great value and lots of fun.

Yes, it should be at Jackson -
I think it was Taft that got stuck in the tub.

Glad to see Dr. Vu and staff is doing well enough to feel they need to expand, their waiting room can get crowded at times.

GDOT makes the interstates their first priority. Snow clearing routes are based on 3 priorities. In this area(Paulding, Carroll, Haralson) I-20 would be first followed by US 27, US 78, and US 278, then after that would likely come Buchanan Highway, 61, 5, 113. SR 100 would be one of the lowest on the totem pole.
-
GA DOT will hit 278 first, then move on to the secondary, then tertiary roads. Good thing there is a maintenance barn in Dallas, they'd have a hard time getting in from the area office on the east side of Buchanan.

so far my workplace hasnt cancelled, i am getting up at 6 to see if i get the email i am expecting -
plus as has been mentioned before, you would need to call the strip mall owners who are raising rent on the Kroger's to affect more of a change. Krogers might not WANT to leave, but it might not make economic sense for them to stay open if the raising of their rent cuts even more of their bottom line away.

sweet, know where i am going to eat at tonight now that they are open on Saturdays.

Went last night and the brisket tasted the same as it ever did. Saw the same cook(robert I think) as before, saw a couple of the same waitresses as before, and saw Sidney/Wayne running the place as usual. Wayne even came up to each table to ask how everything was, and hoped that I enjoyed the meal. It's the same place just with a different name.
-
the only thing that has changed about the Hiram location is the name. the menu is still the same, the staff is still the same, and the desserts are still good.

The MUTCD has been updated countless times before(indeed, it's likely the people in charge of the updates have been in the FHWA/industry since the Nixon/Ford presidencies); the only problem I have with this is the dates attached to the changes. Sign changes should only be mandated where new signs are installed/needed. In other words, it's not politically motivated but hey, who am i to stop the train of thought. -
Coming home from Panama City yesterday, a guy ran a red light to make a left turn off of 231. After running the red light and making it to the side road, he turned on his hazard lights. I guess his emergency was more important than everyone else's safety (note: the only thing down the side road is a residential area, i've been on it before).
