Pffft! Whatever! He beat the cr@p out of a woman. Maybe we should give him some sort of Hollywood award, right? He's a hot-headed thug. I'm sure there's an award waiting for him somewhere. And it's been two years? Really? Well knock me over with a feather!! Did you see where I said up there that I hadn't thought about it since? Yeah. I haven't. Might as well have been 5 years ago. It wouldn't change my opinion of a man who beats up women.

EXACTLY. She was wrong in smacking him around, but as I ws raised and as I raised my own boys, you walk away--FAR AWAY--from a violent woman. You NEVER hit a woman, unless she's about to kill you and you have no choice but self defense. It would be easy enough to let him move on--before this post, I hadn't had a single thought of him outside one interview Rhianna did on some prime-time show a few months back where, by the way, SHE accepted her responsibility in the ugly argument. But MONTHS later this guy gets asked about it and breaks windows and furniture? Yeah, I'm sad to sa

Eh, he's not even original enough to have his own thought. I heard this today on the radio--some celeb tweeted it, but I don't remember who. Guess he thought it would be "funny." NOT!

I just heard she passed away today.

Uhmm....I don't think it said they were pole dancing on Sunday in front of the congregation... A group of women are getting together and learning a dance. With other women. To Christian music. So I go back to my first post in this thread... And?

And?

Wow, that'll inspire folks to go out and buy his album, huh? And in response to Robin Roberts? Seriously? She's like sweetness soaked in sugar. And it's her JOB to ask those questions. What a tool.

Oh, he's definitely over-the-top. But that's why we all keep coming back.

Have you trained yours into a tree?

I ain't sayin' nuthin' if folks who didn't see it yet are reading. Nhut uh! But I will say...I didn't see it coming.

I adore wisteria. And I know what it can do. Anyone who wishes to grow it MUST keep it controlled. It can pull a house down if left to grow unchecked. My husband built a HUGE solid wood trellis to contain mine, and we cut it back every year after its growing season. Mine is about...I think 7 years old now? And we've had no problems with it because we keep it controlled. Here's a picture of mine in bloom on the trellis from a couple of years ago. It's pretty much kept trimmed just to stay on the trellis, but the trellis is huge. I wish I had a better picture, but like I said, the la

My situation isn't exactly like yours with the grown kid, but it is like yours will be with a younger male child. It's HARD. Don't let anyone tell you any different. I was very, very lucky with my husband. I still am. My kids were 14, 16, and 18 when we got married. The oldest is the girl--and so we had a number of years with two teenage boys in the house and a step-dad. You will have a teenager with a step-dad before you know it, and so this does apply. The two things someone else said that are crucial are 1) communication, and 2) keeping it private. My boys definitely tried t

My wisteria is all budded out, but it hasn't bloomed yet. Late freezes killed it after it bloomed the last two years! My white irises are blooming, and my phlox has gone nuts. I also have tulips and pink and blue hyacinth. I have bulbs popping up all over the place--lilies and glads and amaryllis all kinds of stuff, and I DREAD a freeze.

I wonder if the newly merged company will call itself AT&T&T?
-
Well of course, and this is a made-for-TV drama...but still...I mean c'mon! That's all I could think when they drove up in their big black vehicle with their burgundy berets...why would they do this at someone's party? I am soooo irritated!
-
They came to CJ's house...why would they go to her house to find someone else with such bad news? I mean, would they *do* that?
-
AAAARRRRRGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! I just *hate* it when they do stuff like that!
-
Yep. Read this from a NYT article: "Already, some critics say the deal will result in higher prices for consumers. T-Mobile had offered some of the lowest rates in the county. While AT&T is expected to honor current T-Mobile contracts, it is likely that once those contracts expire, T-Mobile customers would be expected to pay AT&T’s higher rates." Full article.

I beg to differ. We have heroes from 9/11 who completely discredit your conclusion. Is 9/11/2001 so distant in people's memories that they could conclude that we ourselves are without heroes? Are all of the people who joined up with the US military in the wake of 9/11 and lost their lives on foreign soil not worthy of being heroes? That's just SAD. Especially as so many of the first responders in our own national disaster struggle for support. I feel sad that anyone would say we don't have heroes. -
I don't quilt, but my MIL does. There's a nice shop here in Powder Springs that gives lessons. Cross Point Quilts I think it is? You might want to look into that. I adore the quilts I have been gifted from my MIL and others. I type this resting on a beautiful quilt made especially for me by my MIL, and a matching wall hanging quilt hangs above my head. It's a great art for those patient enough to undertake it. My MIL's quilts are stunning. And she sells them at craft shows all over the Southeast. We were lucky enough to find her a quilting machine here on pcom last year, an
