  1. That was PERFECT! Please don't feed your sweet pups any treats made in China!
  2. If you had a point, you failed to make it.
  3. I wonder how many black young men have shot and killed a black young man in the 45 days since this happened? I am not in any way racist, but where is the outrage about b-on-b crime? And why does the media keep referring to Zimmerman as a "white Hispanic"? Racism doesn't come in one color.
  4. I've gone every year for about the last 5 years or so. I love getting wonderful, healthy plants at "dirt cheap" prices. Seriously, if you enjoy growing things, you shouldn't miss this sale. I probably have at least 25 or so plants in my yard that I bought from the MG sale. It's the best deal in town for cheap, healthy plants!!
  5. Please? I always love to go, and I saw it mentioned in another thread. Someone please fill me in? Thanks!!
  6. Thanks! I want to keep my own little flock of chickens when I find the right place to do it. But I was joking about the rooster!
  7. I feel I should apologize about my response above...I didn't know much about the "chicken man," and my husband has informed me that I should learn a bit more about his case. He says the "chicken man" was there first, before the zoning was changed. So I apologize, and I will do some research. I love my husband!
  8. If any of my neighbors in my VERY RESIDENTIAL subdivision tried to keep crowing roosters in any yard adjacent to mine, damn skippy I'd complain, and expect the ordinances to back me up! I'd like to keep chickens. And maybe a few goats. And maybe even a rooster, if my yard is big enough to get him far enough away from my house to not wake me when the sun comes up. My husband and I are VERY ACTIVELY looking for some acreage where we can do just that--which is, do whatever WE want to do on OUR property and not have to succumb to "neighborhood" regulations. And we will find that place.
  9. That works, but see...you shouldn't have to do that. Something messed up the front page. There are ways to work around it, but the experience should be consistent when you log in here. You shouldn't have to adjust your browser. That's all I meant when I asked the question. If you had to adjust your settings every time you logged in to any page, why would you keep visiting?
  10. I use Firefox. Dislike IE. >>shrug<<
  11. It's better now...maybe someone fixed it? Before, I had to scroll to the right to read any topic fully. I was told before that it was because someone sneaked in a thread title that was too long or something? In any case, it seems to be better now. And I didn't do anything but ask...so thanks whoever fixed it.
  12. I LOVE me some mashed potatoes, but I would never want to slap a heap of them up on my walls.
  13. Find out whatever knocked the whole front page out-of-whack and fix it? I can't see anything on the front page without scrolling. Fix it please? Thank you.
  14. Tax money doesn't pay for "free" phones. Extra charges added onto the bills of those who can afford the services fund "free" phones. Just so we're clear on that and all. (ETA: I guess you could call it a "tax" since it's a federally mandated "charge" added to the phone bills of those who actually pay their own bills. NOT calling it a "tax" is probably just splitting hairs. )
  15. We were out there as all of this was happening.
  16. The tragic death of Trayvon Martin isn't and never should have been a "racial" issue. That's what bugs me the most. The questions that have followed are certainly worth being asked, IN MY OPINION, it's misdirected to tie those questions to this event, but as emotionally charged as this event has become, all kinds of things that have no place in this particular basket have been neatly and completely placed here. And they don't fit, but that seems not to matter much to all of those who insist on making it all about race. And IMO, in doing so, they set equality back significantly
  17. We stopped by today and bought BUNCHES...we will sure miss your store. I am sorry you are closing it up, and I wish you the best wherever you land beyond this.
  18. I finally got the nest cleaned out about a month ago, and though I love them dearly, I'm glad they have moved into their OWN lives. The oldest is in California, the youngest is in Texas, and the middle lives about 4 miles from me. I'm so proud of/happy for the journeys the youngest and oldest are on finding their own lives, and I talk to them fairly often. I look forward to their visits. And I see the middle a lot still, but I'm soooooooo happy he's finally on his own, and I have this whole new life in front of me that just involves me and my other half. I am happy. It was past tim
