  1. It appears she only had one hit. Sorta like her dad.
  2. We had pork chops, too. Panko-breaded and oven-baked, along with buttered corn and sour cream and chive baked potatoes. Oh, and toasted garlic bread. I'm stuffed!

    SNOW!

It's not flurries here anymore! It's really snowing. I took my grandson to the back door, pointed outside, and said, "LOOK! It's SNOWING!" And he said, "Oh, wooooowwwww!"
  4. That was sweet and very beautiful. Thanks for sharing!

    SNOW!

Light flurries here in Powder Springs.
  6. It's pouring here in Powder Springs. Hiram is between us...I'd guess it's raining in Hiram too?
  7. BEAUTIFUL pics! And while I thank you for the perspective check, cold is always relative. Right? 10F or -10F...both are DAMN COLD! Especially when wind and moisture are involved. Stay warm! Rain has just started here, but the low for Sunday is 21F. It's going to be a nasty mess around here, and very, very soon.
  8. We had a bit of difficulty finding your house since we'd never been to your subdivision before, but we finally found you and really enjoyed your show. My three year-old grandson liked it so much, he cried when we drove away! Thanks for sharing, and Merry Christmas!
  9. Well I wasn't SURE it was you... We had a great time, too. Took the grandson to see the nativity and eat roasted marshmallows. He liked everything except for the llama and Santa! (He's three, and didn't even want to get within 10 feet of Santa.) But after the nativity and a bite to eat at the cafe, we went to see Christmas lights. At the Felix Family lights, I gave him some money to donate to their cause, the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. He walked up, put the money in the bucket, then surprised us all by running over and throwing himself into Santa's lap for a hug! It
  10. I thought it was you I saw at the cafe tonight!
  11. I was inspired by this thread and made some of the mice tonight. Because I never follow recipes but instead use them for inspiration, mine are built a little differently. For the chocolate ones, I didn't use a cookie but instead just made the mice. I was telling my husband about the idea before I went and got the stuff to make them, and he said, "It would be fun to use Kisses with almonds for the heads; when people bit into them, it would be like they were biting into a little mouse skull." Yeah, I know. You don't have to say it. However, I thought it sounded tasty...a chocolate cover
  12. Thank you! We're planning on taking our Grandson tonight.
  13. From their Web site: From Hiram/Douglasville: Take Hwy 92 North to East Paulding Drive. Turn Left onto East Paulding Drive. Go approx. 5 miles to the 3rd red light. At that light turn tight onto Dallas-Acworth Hwy (Publix). Oliver Place is 1.5 miles on your left.
  14. Will the Jolly Big Guy be there tonight as well?
  15. Me, too. Politics aside, we're all in this thing together. Yet...from ZC's article linked above: The government said last Friday employers added a mere 39,000 jobs last month, while the jobless rate spiked to 9.8 percent from 9.6 percent. "Assuming we get the passage of a (tax) plan in Washington, we're probably looking at a situation where it wouldn't surprise me if we got either first or second quarter of next year GDP growth near 4.0 percent," Strauss said. The U.S. Congress is debating a tax plan that would extend personal income, dividend and capital gains tax cuts and ren
  16. What? An unpaid member has a small PM box... ...or is it just me? Oh, ok see? I give up.
  17. My box is embarrassingly small.
