I just got this mental image of lines of people circling around Chik-Fila restaurants a while back. Funny how people seem to rally around companies that do the right thing.

And more to the point... if they are non-essential jobs, why are they there in the first place? Of course, a shutdown doesn't mean a tax holiday. They're gonna be collecting our money...so they can fund all those NON-ESSENTIAL jobs.

Thanks for all the info. The owner of the store at New Hope is really nice. Went into Mattress Firm in Hiram. Not so nice. I walked out after about 2 minutes. What a jerk that "salesman" is. Ended up at the Original Mattress Factory on Delk. We had a set from them that we got in 2004. Planning on ordering a new set like that only in King size. I can get a double-sided pillow top that is better made than the ones from "The 4 S's" for less money. (Simmons, Sealy, Serta, Stearns). Sorry, it's King. It's like sleeping on a glorified air mattress. One side (mine) has a slow leak and I don't have the time or patience to mess with it. I've fixed two other pinholes in it before. There's a pattern developing, and I'm not going to play any more. There's no insulation to speak of in one of these mattresses, and it's cold. We had to put an electric blanket on top of the mattress (under the mattress cover) to keep from freezing to death.

OK, I have finally HAD it with the "sleep number" mattress we have. It's gonna be posted on here for a "come and get it" freebie as soon as I find what I want in a real bed. I know about the store next to K-Mart, all the rest I know of are over on Barrett Pkwy. Are there any more here in Paulding?

The covenants (NOT a HOA), the covenants in our subdivision specify a garbage company AND the day they will run. We use a different company and on a different day. So sue me. If your current garbage company will continue to service you, do that. What are they gonna do about it?
