The old Maytag dryer is, well, not doing its' job. A load of white stuff takes at least 120 minutes to dry. I can get two loads washed to one through the dryer. I know we will buy Speed Queen equipment, but am wondering about going gas or electric. Power is already in the laundry, but gas is about 5 feet away in the basement, so no big deal. We've had gas dryers before, but really don't have a good comparison about their efficiency and operating cost and original costs? any comments?

Pls PM me with that info? My GP handed me a list of neuros, and Google didn't help much about who is good and who isn't.

Anybody have any comments about any neurologists around these parts?

What would happen if the government shut down?

The only time the American Public is truly safe is when Congress is on recess. Then, the dumbasses aren't passing new laws we don't need or listening to false "scientific" reports. -

We were at a dog show in Belleville, IL a few years back. The show was almost over, we had torn down our grooming setup and had put the dog in his crate. I was standing about 50 feet away from him, and watching the groups or best-in-show ring and keeping an eye on the dog. This woman approaches the crate, leans down and starts to open the latch. By that time I had sprinted across the room and yelled at her. PETA was then, and still does, go to dog shows and turns dogs loose from their crates. I said to her, "if you let that dog out of his crate, I'll rip your damn arm off and be -
And what percentage of ALL homicides are deemed "justified"? This whole "study" is based on such a small sample of deaths, that any increase seems to be humongous. If (for example) the Stand Your Ground cases went from 20 to 30, that's a 50% increase. Sensationalism at it's best. Figures don't lie. But liars sure figure.

I can't picture where Interstate Battery is located?

One of our iPhones won't hold a charge very long. I've turned off all the apps that were running in the background, made sure that all the settings are in the right mode, etc. A full charge drops to 50% after only one phone call. Time for a new battery, methinks. Who, where, how much?

Vladimir Putin is on the way to fix the problem.

I was SO going to come over to your house and kick your butt if you played that stupid clip of the camel walking through the offices asking everybody if they knew what day it was.

And we have a winner !!! Another interesting set of call letters is KCMO, located in where else? Kansas City, MO
-
Really? They must have forgotten to notify the HS that I attended. 'Cause butt-whoopins went on there every day. Two things motivate good behavior. Pain. And fear of pain. Feel free to resume you studies of the Dr. Seuss philosophy. It's worked out SO well.

A piece of radio station call letter trivia: What station's call letters spell the name of the town in which the station is located? In order, not scrambled.
-
Isn't the "rule" that all call letters must start with a W if the station is East of the Mississippi River? And with a K if it is West of the big River? I think there are some exceptions like KDKA in Pittsburg and WDAF in Kansas City, but they may have been grandfathered in when the FCC was formed. I know the station in my hometown was originally WOS, but the regulation made them go to KWOS.

I'm a bit confused here? what did you do on the windows?

There's a magazine called "Shutterbug" that has a lot of ads for labs that are still processing and printing film. Or printing from old negatives you may have filed away somewhere.

I have a domain name, but never got around to making a site. Here are a couple of photos of the mainstream pieces. I have a lot of other sizes shapes and colors.

I'm going to have a booth there, selling (hopefully a lot of) my fused glass jewelry. So, if you stop by and introduce yourself to me with your screen name here, I'll slip you a little discount, And, a word of thanks to "mom of 3" for all the help this week in assembling all this jewelry. I couldn't have done it without her.

New Rules regarding Personal attacks in signatures

Hummh. When you have a member that is annoying the vast percentage of the rest of the site, what is the logic in punishing everybody to accommodate one member's attention needs? You don't need a sledgehammer to kill a pesky fly.- 119 replies

This whole thing is just a total public relations disaster. If management doesn't like somebody's siggy, why not deal with it privately? Why make it an issue? Better yet, just turn off the whole feature of signature lines on the entire site. Who would care? -

So, how about posting a few of the offending siggys so we have some idea what you are talking about? Or is this going to be another situation where some mod gets pissed at a member and uses their "authority"?
