I used to mow HUD yards and bank owned foreclosed yards for a living. We were always told that 20 to 30 feet from the dwelling was enough to satisfy the HUD folks and banks, we usually mowed the whole yard to make the nieghbors happy. Hud cut their prices way back a few years ago and it just wasn't profitable anymore so we quit doing it.

I wish i lived on enough land where i could shoot any time on wanted.. I am familiar with the area where this shooting is occurring. If i am not mistaken he has about 30 acres or so behind his house. He is perfectly legal in his shooting and it is most likely a semi-auto pistol.

If you're traveling north on route 278, about 7 or so miles past Dallas you will see a small sign on the right side of the road that says PAULDING FOREST CHECK IN. There is a check in place there for hunters and usuall they have some maps there also. Them maps are kind of small and hard to read , Take a magnafying glass to read them better to see the boundries. There are 26000 acres available to the public for hunting and fishing and other activites. When on 278 north if you pass goldmine road you have gone too far.

I guess i'm weird but i have always been comfortable around people carrying guns. When i see someone who is open carrying i pretty much figure he had gone through a state background check and is carrying with a permit. You aren't going to get a permit if you have any kind of criminal background. Those people who are afraid of guns should ask themselves would a bad guy really carry open in a public place. I called the non-emercency number for Paulding S.O. last night and a deputy came over and took the report. We are renting this house as we sold our previous house a month ago. He says this is not the first time that they have been called to this home. Apparently the prvious tennants , a mother and daughter were frequent callers of the S.O. First of all there is usually someone always home at my house. But apparently someone has been watching......came home today after meeting my wife and son for lunch and found that someone had tried to break in. All the doors showed evidence of being "jimmyed" with scratches on the door frame and door knobs. It looks like they tried to use a pry bar but did not succeed. Now i'm just mad. My wife was cleaning the toilet one day using Bleach and Drano......................Luckily I walked in in time to find her. She ws laying on the floor not breathing. Dragger her out by the feet and gave her a few mouth to mouth and she came around right away. Sat her down and read her the directions on the panEL on the Drano can that said DO NOT MIX WITH BLEACH, PRODUCES CHLORINE GAS. That was 37 years ago. Shes still around.

As an employee i have an obligation to try and get into work. As the state DOT they have an obligation to get the darn roads cleared and treated with chemicals or whatever is needed to keep them open and safe for travel. They don't seem to take that obligation seriously.

I tried to go to work this afternoon. Took me 45 mins to go from Lake Swan subdivision to I20. Once on I20 i only got as far as Thornton road due to several jack knifed tractor trailer rigs. Got off and turned arround and went back home. Called my boss and explained to him and he said not to worry about it. I have never seen it like that before, the interstate had no salt on it. Where do our tax dollars go? You would think that at least the interstates would be cleared but it seem as this state doesn't give one wit about keeping the roads clear during / after a storm.

Neighbor called me a little while ago and asked if i knew who had a paddle boat on our lake. They were seen killing ducks by STOMPING THEM!! I saw them yesterday on the water during the rain storm and wondered what they would be doing out there while it was raining. Guess some kids are just brought up wrong. I'm so angry that i'd like to sink their boat with them attatched to it. Police have been notified and homeowners assoc also.
