We did not need to have another day out of school to makeup. I think they should have released the middle & high schools at 1:00 or 1:20 & then released the elem. schools at regular time. That way they could have ran the buses for middle & high & got back in time to do elem. and everyone would have been home in time & the elem. school students would not have had to be home alone any earlier than usual. I know that most bus drivers have an elem route & a middle or high school route, so the solution is to dismiss them in reverse order.

I know that they didn't want to send the elem. students home too early because they don't want them to go home to empty houses, so why couldn't they have reversed the order and send the middle & high school students home first, they are use to going home alone anyway. I agree the roads were bad in places, I gave students that didn't have a ride home a ride so I saw mult. bad slick patches on the road.

They should not have made the teen driver have to wait for the buses to get to the school so bus riders could load, they should have been allowed to go ahead and drive home. My son at East Paulding high was allowed to leave and go home before all the buses got to the school to load, but at North Paulding they made the drivers stay and wait on the buses to get there and released them all at the same time, which made a mess of leaving the school. The teen drivers at North were all nervous because they are not experienced drivers any way.

Walgreens. My husband did his & my sons at home, it was a hassle though. I think they had to us a light or solid background. Our church has a lot of people getting a passport right now & they said go to Walgreens to get the picture.

I was going to say the same thing about the ship being old. I looked at Mobile but the carnival ship departing from there is too old for me.

I don't like that calender choice at all the kids will not have a summer w/ us getting out late. High school kids will not have enough time for a summer job, they will have to start the band camps in July. Its not gonna be fun.

Mine & Kims impressionable teenae kids will be there so only bring the good ones of us.

This can be a pain..... I had this happen to me about a year ago & I started getting all kinds of stuff in the mail that I didn't order. I got makeup, acacberry, stuff you order off as seen on tv. I started calling companies & they could give me my phone number and address. anyone on here know anything about airbags? I have a 2006 Hyundai santa fe and the air bag light is on and stays on. I have taken it to a local mechanic who has put it on their machine & there are not any codes coming up for anything. I took it to the dealership and they want $85.00 just to look at it.

Once in high school the week off in Sept. is useless. With so many kids playing football, in band, cheerleading, etc. they would have to stay in town for practice everyday. It would also be a problem with football practice in middle school.

My husband has worked at both Home Depot corporate office & for Equifax and he and management above him have had beards...so I would say that they are not unprofessional.

Guard shacks are for high schools, I don't understand why they put this one before the elem school. If they ever use it the elem school traffic will be hosed. Usually the guard shack is used after high school has begun for the day, the officer is at the shack to check the students leaving in the middle of the school day.

I just got home from North. My child was feeling sick & didnt want to ride the bus. It was so badly backed up in every direction. It was backed up from the middle school to the top of the hill and into the parking lot at the high school. Its not just because its the Friday before break, its always that way. I said it would be too bad if someone was having a heart attack because no one would be able to get to them. Once you are up at the high school you are stuck there.

This moring at East they gave the kids until 8:50 before they were counted late because of the rain and the traffic was backed up. I thought that was nice & the students know this because my child said they will probably give us a little extra time. They don't get anxious in bad weather and try to hurry and get in a wreck.

I noticed that East has added a second entrance & sometimes you can use the back exit & if there was an emergency there is a back way out, its not 3 schools worth of traffic every morning and afternoon. East the traffic is bad if you get there on time at North it is horrible if you try to go early or get there on time it doesn't matter its always bad.
