There is one in one high school that draws pictures all day that she sales to make money for herself...

We could save tons of money by cutting up the air conditioning, the kids are all wearing jackets in the warm weather mths. Then in the winter they are all so hot its hard to stay awake. I believe we need to keep music in schools because it is a proven fact that students that can read mustic and play an insturment whether its a piano, or band insturment score higher on tests. If you look at the top 20 schools in the state lots of them are usually performing arts schools or high schools that have a great band program.

I saw the tree down & wondered what happened. I heard sirens today around 4:15 and when an out of town guest arrived she said there was wreck today on Cedar Crest. It is somewhere between Graves Rd. and hwy. 41. I haven't heard details about either wreck... When you get into Cobb county he speed limit is 35 don't know why Paulding has it as 45. The cobb county police love to sit just after the speed limit changes.

I wouldn't call unless it was late at night and then I wouldn't unless it was something they did a lot. Sometimes my kids have people over also and they may get loud, its once in a blue moon that they get loud.

This is very sad news. Both of my kids had Mrs Atcheson for their 1st grade teacher. Does anyone know what happened?

I think its the one on Cedar Crest. I have seen emails sent around Bentwater about a man sitting outside of houses in a truck watching them in the middle of the night. Wonder if it is the same guy.

Never said it was true or from a reliable source. A friend said a teacher told her that they had been discussing a 4 day school week and that it was on the table for discussion. Thats why I asked if anyone knew if it was true. Cutting 2 weeks off the calander would be great!

I had a friend tell me that a teacher told her that they are discussing the possiblity of a 4 day school week for Paulding next year. I know there is a calender already approved so is it possible that it could get changed?

I was told that they let us vote but they already knew what calander they were going with. I guess we have to feel like we have some say even though we really don't.Some teachers said that we were now considered year round starting so early in aug. and having lots of breaks. They also said that there are some regulations that the school system does not have to follow if we are year round. I have no idea if that is a good or a bad thing. Anyone know what these regulations that we won't have to follow are?

I think they made the right choice today. When I left home this morning I checked weather.com & it looked like it was gonna be to warm for us to get any snow or ice. North Paulding actually let the car riders and student drivers leave about 10 minutes before the buses which I thought was a very smart move. The students were able to get on the road sooner which helped with traffic and got them home sooner.

I get the phone calls from the Board for school closings,does anyone know how to get it set up to get text messages on your cell phone. I looked on the BOE website thinking I could probably find a way to add my cell phone there, but I couldn't find a way.

gulf shores/orange beach is one of the best places for family vacations. It has the white sand like panama city, great reaturants, and reasonable rates on condos. Book thur Brett/robinson and stay in one of the phoenix condos, they are beautiful w/ great pools & usually you can get deals like pay for 5 nites stay 7 or pay for 3 nites and stay 5.

Paulding county will still find a way to start school back the first week in August when its hot & we wish we could be at the pool or beach. I heard that some of the teachers are saying that it didn't matter that we voted on the school calendar because the board had already made their decision. They are saying that now we are considered year long school and that there are certain things that we don't have to abide by. Has anyone else heard anything of this nature and do you know what regulations or whatever it is we don't have to do by being considered year round.

Luckly I haven't gotten one yet, but I have friends who have had problem. I got 5 videos from a friend on facebook luckly I had read my page and found out that those videos contain a virus. If you watch the video the virus gets your computer. I had a friend that opened one of the videos & had a problem. I don't know how it happens but your friend doesn't actually do anything to send you the videos but they get sent to you under your friends name. This has happened w/ two of my friends both from Alabama, both had videos sent using their name but they didn't actually send them.

The only parents that like all these weeks off is elem. school parents. They will hate it when their kids become teens. They can't get a job unless they promise not to take a vacation because the summer is so short.

I totally agree. we could live w/o a week off in sept. & shave off a day or two her or there and still get out by memorial day. When I had my first child in school 12 years ago we started around the middle of August and we were out by Memorial day. We also didn't take the entire week of thanksgiving then. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do when local goverment is not capable of making wise decisions.

Go 61 north to Dabbs bridge rd., turn Right. Go a couple of miles and turn left on Harmony Grove Rd., Go about 1 mile & turn right into the elem., middle & high school complex then follow the road up to the high school. You can follow the other directions given by someone else by turning at the red building also & you will just come onto Harmony Grove church rd futher up, & turn left into the school complex instead of right.

I did my research before I called them, so I could call up & say "I know you have a problem w/ defective dlp chips...

I started noticing dots (stars) on our flat screen Samsung tv about 3 wks ago. it started as 3 then grew quickly to probably about 50. If you are experencing this problem you can call their 1800-726-7864 number and tell them that you know that there is a defect w/ the DLP chip & they will fix it for free. We have had our tv for over 2 years so I didn't think they would fix it but they did. They will want your model number, serisl number and another number on the tv called the verson number.

We got one of those all calls last nite from mr. viness from east & I don't even have a child involved in intercession. Make sure to sign up for the all calls because they leave messages of all sorts on my answ. machine...

I have twice talked to customer service retention dept. I may try again later, or tomorrow... That sounds like a deal. how many tvs do you have it on & about how many channels & does it come w/ a digital recorder?

I have had dish network for 12 years. I called to cancel & move over to direct TV & they convienced me to stay w/ dish network for 2 more years by lowering my bill by $10 per mth. That sounded great to me so I resigned up. I get my bill this mth. & they have raised the cost of all my fees to bring my bill up $10 and then deducted $10 off, leaving me w/ a bill the same as before. Now they have me trapped for another 2 years at the same mthly fee as before. I think that is a little dishonest!!!!! EDIT: Remove Business Name From Title of Topic.
