  1. Valedictorian's speech was awsome and entertaining... My bother-in-law who can be a stick in the mud didn't think it was serious enough. It was very fitting for our Valedictoirian because of his personality, he is both very smart, funny, and well rounded, and well liked.
  2. yes it was packed. people were also sitting and standing everywhere on the bank and lets not even begin to talk about getting out of the parking lot. We parked out back and it was fairly easy to get to the road out through the middle school, but the traffic was backed up for forever...
  3. I thought the graduation ceremony was nice Saturday morning at East Paulding High. My sons transcript says there are 613 in his class, I heard that 566 were to walk Saturday morning. Thougth all went smoothly considering it was the largest class to ever graduate from a paulding county high school.
  4. It depends on if he wants to enlist in the military or if he wants to try to get into a military academy. The 3 students I know that have gotten into Navy & air force academy & west point all took all or almost all honors and AP classes.
  5. I don't think its a bad idea. My son just graduated and he only need 2 classes his sr. yr. to grad. I wish we would have looked into having him do dual enrollment. The only thing is he would have missed out on some things with his friends...
  6. The problem w/ "honor" grads at the moment is that some of them wearing the honor garb. and white robe only took easy classes some didn't take the first honors class. I think that you should have to take some honor classes & or AP classes to be classified as an honors grad. There is a case here in our county for example where a student scored 2200 out of 2400 on the SAT and took all honors and AP classes & isn't an honor grad. Then there is this person that scored 1300 out of 2400 on SAT and didn't take the first honor or AP class that is wearing the honor grad robe. I want them to r
  7. If you are at East I think its just for the students. My son is graduating from there and I am not going to the breakfast.
  8. I got my tags last week and they were open when I got there at 8:30, so they open at 8:00 or 8:30.
  9. Just pray for no rain Saturday morning when East paulding High has 566 graduating on the football field. They say its the largest class to ever graduate from a Paulding County high school.

    Piss Ants

I left my van in the parking lot of north cobb high one time for a few hours. We came back & got in the car and discovered while we were driving down the road that the car was full of them. I went home and vaccumed them over and over again and they just kept coming out of every crack in the van. I keep my vehicles clean and I thought crumb free. I ended up at Wal-mart the next day and bought those little black boxes that the ants go into and put 2 of them under the seats and left them there and never saw another ant.
  11. I'm gonna say his son would be a good guess...
  12. Thats funny. Good thing Mr. Viness is a good sport... I hope someone took pictures to post.
  13. at one time seven hills was offering a membership to people in bentwater (because they were both developed by cousins) for $700.00 which was way too much to consider. They thought people would pay this cause they have a pool w/ a big slide. I could buy six flags passes, white water passes, & more for the family for that amount... I think most neighborhood pools are over crowded with just their residents. have you been to the aquatic center on macland rd. behind powder springs methodist church?
  14. does anyone know if they are open tomorrow? and does anyone have the number? my daughter wants highlights tomorrow and we were thinking of trying Allon.
  15. yes I meant to include that bit of info but I forgot.
  16. when you put a dvd in our factory built in overhead DVD player the screen says DVD Seek. When you press play it says disc check and it never plays. Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong or how to fix this?
  17. I was guessing she moved because she could no longer stand to live there, I don't know how you would sale a house next to his though.
  18. I don't try to be an expert on the court system. Thats just what someone who called the court house was told, I guess she mixed facts about which office had the sign put up. Orginally I posted superior court, does that sound right?
  19. I have been wondering what the deal was with this family for about the past 4 yrs. I have passed by their house to see the swat team there with guns pointed at their house (with about 7 police cars in the yard). Someone else said they saw the same thing but on a different day. We have had their dogs get out and roam the neighborhood. One night the family got in a fight or something and decided to drive around in their car and was arrested within our section of Bentwater where the police confisciated firearms. I heard that the man that lives there has a brother on the child molestation list
  20. No, they didn't make it up its up there by paulding supreme court.
  21. There is a sign on the property on CedarCrest Rd. where the people that painted the falcon on their garage door live. It is a sign like I have never seen before from paulding county that says no firearms, alcohol, or anyone with a criminal history is allowed on the property. Does anyone know whats up with that? It was a paulding county superior court ordered sign. This is the same location that I have seen the swat team at before....
  22. I decided that when my kids us the mouth wash that whiten their teeth they wipe their mouth on the towels leaving bleached spots.
  23. We have realtives in the northern state of Maryland and cousins who are home schooled by a mom w/ a master degree and still my son who is a senior and has always gone to paulding county public schools scored higher than any of them on the SAT.
  24. I didn't realize that. Wonder what they would use to make the decision of who to keep then.
  25. I read that there is a proposed plan to cut an asst. principal at every high school. I wonder how they will decide who stays and who goes? what if there is an assit. at a high school with more tenure and a higher education than an assit. at another high school, then what happens? Will they move people around and keep the most experienced people in the county or do they just cut the one with the least amount of tenure at each school?
