  1. My husband was a commerce member on here, but that is one of the luxuries we had to give up. But---if you want to call him his business is Choice Built Homes. You can PM me for his contact info. He would appreciate the business right now!
  2. I have never been there, but a friend of mine is a personal trainer there, and comes highly recommended. His name is Marc King.
  3. My darling husband just brought me home the Big breakfast from McDonald's. I had a piece of sausage, hash browns, and a biscuit. I ate some of the eggs but they were actually too dry for my taste. Had a diet coke to wash it down.
  4. I worked with a lady at Southern Bell who had never been married. She was from a well known family in downtown Marietta. She had lots of money. After she died, her cousins went into her house and found 5 gallon buckets all over the place with trash in them. They started pouring the trash out of the buckets and in every one of them, under the trash, was loads of money!! She wouldn't put her money in the bank, and everybody thought she was poor because of the way she lived, when in reality, she had just about every penny she had ever made underneath trash in a filthy house!
  5. DiGiorno's 4 meat pizza again! We had it last night also because we are iced in, in a cabin in Pigeon Forge!
  6. Hey Tess, We are in Pigeon Forge right now and we are iced in. We are in a cabin on a hill and can't get down the hill, so we are eating microwavable food. Yum, yum!
  7. I remember!! We lost power, and my dad developed pneumonia after having been hit by a car the year before and was in a wheel chair. The ambulance had to come get him to take him to Kennestone-a horrible ordeal. Luckily, it was Metro Ambulance and my dad used to drive for them so they took it very easy and got him to the hospital safe, then brought my mom back home that evening because nobody could drive.
  8. Should have known ya'll would have been there, after all, your lovely wife and I have the same birthday!! So, please tell her happy birthday for me and we will not see ya'll on Sunday because my lovely husband is taking me to the mountains!

  12. Wow, I actually started a topic that people are posting in!!! Yay, me!! It actually started out about the big holes in ears, but turned into tattoos. I don't mind tattoos at all, in fact, if I wasn't so scared of needles I would probably have one, but, I can't stand pain, and that's what started this topic. My daughter had a guy friend come pick her up the other night and he had the big holes in his ears and it made me queasy just looking at them. Did I let her go with this guy-of course! If he had the balls to come in and talk to me and let me ask him questions that he answered with

  14. i just made candied pecans and walnuts-very easy. Preheat oven to 300 Use 1 egg white and 1 tblspn water, mix until foamy Pour in 3 cups of nuts, stir until coated. I did 3 cups of pecans in first batch, and then 3 cups walnuts in 2nd batch. I also added 1 tsp of vanilla to walnuts for a slightly differen
  15. Tattoos that are pretty and mean something don't bother me, I would prefer that my daughter get them in places that she could cover up if she had to, but she doesn't, oh well, and the piercings usually don't bother me. the ones that look like they hurt do bother me, because it makes me queasy. But i still don't like the looks of the big holes in the ears, just my opinion. I wouldn't stop being friends or think bad about someone who has them though.
  16. Good one, Weatherboy!!! AJ- mine smell sometimes when I take my earrings out, so I can only imagine what a huge one smells like!! And, I don't think any less of someone I see with them either-I just think-What were they thinking!!! But, to each his own. Like I said in my first post-my daughter has piercings and tattoos, some I don't think are appropriate, but who am I to judge. She does have a set of handcuffs on her wrist, and I told her I would pay for her to have them covered up with another more appropriate tattoo, so she agreed to do it. Well, I gave her the money, and what do
  17. My daughter has several tattoos, piercings, a different hair color just about every day, etc. BUT---I can't understand why some people want to make huge holes in their ears!!!! I think it's called gaging the ears, but to me it looks like it would hurt really bad, plus also, I think it looks horrible! I thought the reason for piercings and tattoos was because they thought they looked good-but do people actually think those huge holes look good? Could someone please explain so I can understand??????
  18. I pay if forward in drive thrus quite often, but last year I sold all of my gold jewelry at Christmas because we really didn't have the money to buy Christmas for our kids. Then, I thought, you know our kids are quite blessed and so are we, so I took the money to Kroger and bought 10 of the $50 gift cards and just walked thru the store handing them to people who looked like they needed the money. I was more excited seeing their faces, knowing it made their day!
  19. Westridge Church on Hwy 92 is having services-- Dec 23 at 7:00pm Dec24 at 2, 4 and 6pm Go to Westridge.com and you can get tickets--they are absolutely free!!! I think they are just trying to get a head count. Our pastor said he is expecting 10,000 plus people during those 4 services. All of his sermons are heart warming and memorable!!
  20. So sorry to hear this, Dianne! You and your family are in our prayers.
  21. There are lots of depressed people these days, and even more so around the holidays. I know money can't buy you happiness, but I think a lot of people believe that. I know that I feel like I don't have as much energy as I used to, and I do think it's because of depression, and yes, I turn down a lot of invitations because I feel bad if I'm spending money when I could be using it to help out with bills or groceries. That was something I have never thought about before the economic slow down. My money was for me to have fun with, not spend on necessities. It is really hard to step out
  22. That sounds like my brother-in-law!!!!
  23. If the reserve is not met the house will go back to auction again until it is met. If you have the highest offer without the reserve being met the auction company will get in contact with you and ask what your highest and final bid would be. If it is over the reserve and you want to buy it you can even if the auction is no longer going on.
  24. My house is for sale and it already has a salt water pool! http://www.firsthometour.com/9604/branded Website for my house
  25. Okay, I got the Reeboks for my anniversary, but I really can't tell the difference in wearing them and wearing regular tennis shoes. I walked around in the Skechers before I bought the Reeboks, but they make me so tall and you can tell they are workout shoes. I wanted something I could walk around in every day and just look like regular tennis shoes. Now I wish I had gotten the Skechers! Oh well, maybe I can get them for my birthday in January.
