Lost power here at around 4pm Friday, back on at 5pm last night. Internet working, but no phone. I get to clean out the frig today as we lost most of it ..... but at least I have power and water again!!

Finally got power back at 5 pm last night, out since 4 pm on Friday. No electricity, no water. Had to use the hot tub water to flush, bottled water and heated up snow for cleaning. Thankfully we have a wood stove in the basement and a gas fireplace upstairs which is a manual start. Was able to heat up soup and such with the gas stove,manually started. Lost most everything in the frig but thankfully the freezers survived. Trees and limbs down everywhere .... more clean up today. Good news is internet is fully working this morning - just no phone other than cells which can now be char

Getting deeper and deeper, concerned about power here. Plus my satellite dish is no longer able to broadcast/receive signal, need husband home to clean it off (yes I could do it but if something ain't right int the future completely unrelated to this I'm sure I'll hear about it - his job now and forever.)

^ Agree ... it is a mess out there already. Tops of cars and deck are now covered in snow and it is coming down. I was going to go shopping today but I'm not moving out of my house.

Just went out to get the newspaper (which of course isn't here) .... Still sleeting, coming down harder. Top of the trashcan and mailboxes are getting a bit icy, driveway and road just wet. Temperature has drop 4 degrees since I've been up ... 36 now.

We had a couple of local owned and operated - yorkville, hiram, dallas, etc which were good, better than fast food menus and not completely cheap but with the spend, but no one supported them. .... The chains continue to dominate (yuk). too sad ....

USPS delivered a package Sunday (12/3) that I wasn't expecting until at least today by standard delivery methods .... Yahoo! Hope you get you packages quickly .... I'm off to order more

Gifts on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day = In years past was Eve with in-laws, Day with my parents ..... now we just do XWS Eve. Santa wraps gifts or not wrapped = depends in bought local, wrapped. Shipped, open box and not wrapped. Eat Turkey or Ham or something else = depends, might do a good roast on XWS day. Main "Christmas Dinner" on Eve or Day = Eve is alway seafood or fish with lots of white wine and music. Day is turkey, ham or a roast. ...... may you get some better memories and more recent ....

In the interview with the REP I saw, she stated she was listening via speaker phone. I do not know the specifics other than that. I do know in my house I have multiple phones -- One I may be on, then another (or many) where someone or multiple someones could listen to via speaker phone(s). Might have been an agreement between individuals to listen in only and not respond which I have done too. SMH ..... why people are the way they are amazes me (and not in a good way). that anyone could do that to anyone. Reason I like my dog better most of the time.
