^ this math is correct. The problem most who earn $15/hr do not work 40 hours a week -- their employers (like Walmart, McDonalds, Dollar General, etc ..) do not work them more than 30 hours a week so they are not claimed as full time and get benefits. ^ $23,400 if they are lucky (and this is before taxes are taken out). -

Really? I am surprised that she has voluntarily not gotten insurance and agreed to the "waiver" on amounts - DH apparently makes great money just they decided not to pay for insurance for her or daughter as it might curb their lifestyle ... interesting. Hope they find a solution ....
