  1. We were there. Just got home. I think I saw the same three cars on the way to the Aquarium. We ran out of time to get some things done because of the rain. We wanted to ride the SkyWheel but never got the chance. We had a great time. It was my first time ever in Myrtle Beach.
  2. A PSA from my friend Philosoraptor!
  3. I just came from there and there was only a white SUV turning around in the parking lot.
  4. I read this the other day at work and people at work thought I had lost a family member. I cried... (not a usual thing for me and not at work.)
  5. I drive past it at least 2 times a day 6 days a week and they are never open when I go by. I used to stop and get a sample box for everyone at work. But, now I never stop because I can't catch them open. I don't go up 92 so I doubt I'll get any goodies for a while. =\
  6. I'll go Saturday morning early get a great spot and take lots of pictures of the parade.

  8. You are not the only one.... When it was over the side mirror it looked as if it was screaming HELP!!!!
  9. Last week I came across this at S. Marietta and Fairground and it was more like a game of chicken. It amazes me how many people do not get the 4-way stop rule. There is a little complication when you have 5-lanes in all directions, not everyone arrives at the intersection at the same time and people aren't obeying the 4-way stop rule. (4 lanes of traffic and a turn lane but common sense helps.)
  10. I have "liked" her on FB. I can't keep up with what I have read and haven't read. There is one about them in the convenience store talking about running a meth lab....
  11. I can't stop.... This one has me laughing so hard.... Driving using only your mind. Watch the video... I can’t tell if I won this argument or lost it
  12. I know, right? I can't quit reading these! AWESOME Copernicus
  13. 3 years of neuropsychology and still sitting on the couch! Bottom line he has to want to get better before anything will change and he is still mad that he had a stroke. Nothing I can say or do to change it! So, I mostly just keep my mouth shut and work! But, thanks for the suggestion!
  14. I read this yesterday (OUT LOUD) in the office no less than 4 times yesterday. It has to be the funniest blog I have read in a long time!
  15. - I'm still breathing - I expect him to be responsible for himself - I expect him to pick up after himself - I point out the fact that he sits on the couch all day and does nothing while I work 12-14 hours a day - I refuse to buy more food until he has eaten everything there is to eat in the house - I am always right - I point out that if he wants to recover from his stroke he has to do it by getting off the couch - When he says have a good day in the morning I say don't forget to hold the furniture down today! Yea, I could go on and on but it is kind of pointless! (It has been 5 ye
  16. What she said... Although, we could use a word like manipulation. I have experienced this in my times on a jury. The stronger personalities prevail. There have been jurors that just refused to put up an opinion or even fight for what their initial belief was because they didn't feel they could bring their point of view to the stronger members. I (for the lack of a better word.) mentored one of the 18 year old grand jury members in my group. She didn't have a clue what the terms meant, what the consequences were to our decisions and felt like she couldn't ask any question. The positive par
  17. My boss (is a human factors professor and national expert witness) and I were talking about this and believe there is no way that a panel of that size could overcome the "brainwashing" and it would depend on the strongest members. They were in their 7th week and tired and overwhelmed. I also believe that the reality crime shows and crime dramas desensitize some individuals and they aren't competent to differentiate the drama from real life. My thought is there needs to be some sort of court advocate that works with the group to maintain the parameters by which they make the decision. No
  18. I mirror that feeling. I am sure there needs to be some sort of better instruction on what jurors are responsible to comprehend before a decision like this is made. I have been a juror and a grand juror and the individuals that couldn't comprehend the directions give were more than I can recall. I think there should be a juror advocate that answers their questions or gives them direction on understanding the way their decision works with the charge. It seems to me that at best they could have walked away with a hung jury but one or more of the jurors swayed this group. I also that th
  19. Entertaining (I don't think there are many people pcoming)
  20. This is the best solution I think. If she puts them on her wrist she will know they are there. Just a suggestion.
  21. I agree and I think she has on a bad wig!! I can't listen to Nancy Grace either. I'm watching on myfoxorlando.com and their reporters/news readers are nearly annoying. I'm contemplating a nap but don't want to miss anything!
