  1. Only if you go and pick theirs up on the days they need help.
  2. I just can't wait for the scuzzbucket to come to my house during the day where my former Marine husband will be waiting with our shiny new gun. I've had it with this horse manure. It's becoming more and more evident to me that whoever is doing this is either a. a resident of this neighborhood or b. someone who is very, very connected to this neighborhood. If this weren't the case, why didn't they strike last week or this weekend? Because pretty much everyone was home and those who were not had their homes under incredible surveillance. We're ready for whoever it is. Everything that's
  3. Just wanted to say thank you to PCSO for all of their hard work for Mill Pointe residents yesterday! We really appreciate what you did for us! I hesitant to say specifically what they did on here as I hope that they will be able to do so again and catch these thugs!
  4. I never noticed that! It was from one of my favorite scenes from The Tudors, when Henry VIII lets Anne Boleyn know that they are travelling to France and that she will become Queen of England. She fell to her knees in gratitude. It was crazy touching. I never ever thought of it in a sexual way but now that you mention it...Ah well, I still like it!
  5. I am thankful for the peace and rest that my husband has found after a long and stressful job. I'm thankful for the precious moments that peace has afforded our family over the last several months. I am thankful that God provides for us in ways we could never hope for or imagine. I'm thankful for the perfect health of my sons as I know that there are so many who don't have this special blessing. I am thankful that my husband and I both have our parents here on this earth one more year to celebrate Thanksgiving! I'm just blissfully thankful for this beautiful life!
  6. If this is the house I'm thinking of, I pass by there every day on my walk. I worried about that truck being reported. I know that it belongs but didn't know if others would! Hopefully they do now!
  7. It would have to be somebody new as this has never happened in the neighborhood before. I don't recall anyone new moving into the neighborhood in a long, long time. That's not to say it couldn't be someone who's "staying" with a resident...I hope like heck that's not the case as the very thought sickens me.
  8. Thank you for your concern but because of my husband's MOS when he was a Marine, he had to go through more personal protective training and target training than Federal Law Enforcement Officers. His MOS wasn't all combat. He can totally handle a weapon in any situation that could come up in our home. As for me, I'm learning and trust him with all my heart to teach me well and protect our family as he has done so well for the past 16 years.
  9. You've got that right! My hubby's a former Marine and based on his shots at the range today, he hasn't lost his touch one little bit. He's thinking of putting his target from today at the edge of our driveway with a sign that says "I wouldn't if I were you!"
  10. We live in Mill Pointe and would love to be part of a neighborhood watch. We are making a point of driving the neighborhood each time we come home and leave. I walk every day so I pretty much know who "belongs" and who doesn't. We bought our new gun yesterday and are going for target practice this morning. I will be ready!
  11. For the first time in many years, we are going to own a gun thanks to these thugs. We have lived in Mill Pointe since 1998 and have always, always felt very safe here. I have news for anyone who even thinks about trying to break into my home....they will meet my friend Mr. 40 and several dogs. What's ours is ours and I dare anyone to think they can waltz right into our home and take it uninvited.
  12. The Hope Scholarship program is funded by the Lottery and not tax dollars. If we curtail that, it should only be due to lowered revenues from the lottery.
  13. We are being extremely cautious with our spending right now because of the uncertainty of the Bush Tax Cuts going away. I started calculating what the increase would mean to us on a monthly basis and it is not pretty at all. That's just less of our money floating around in the economy - even now as we wait to see if they really do expire. Hope this is the Hope and Change that folks were looking for!
  14. Sounds very much to me like it could be the same two especially since the truck sounds the same. I'm about over people thinking that it's ok to just bust into another person's home and take things that don't belong to them. We haven't had a gun in our home for many years bt I'm seriously considering purchasing several now. Thank God my parents have quite a few guns and that my sister knew exactly how to use them. I have no doubt had those men stuck around and made any false movements, they would have found out just how good of a shot my sis
  15. Description: Driving white pick up truck, low to the ground, maybe a Chevy. There was a sign on the side of the truck that was rectangular in shape and very faded. It appeared to have the letters "TCM" on it. There were two men. The one in the truck appeared to be very tall. (This was the man that was trying to break into the upstairs and when the neighbor saw him, went and got in the truck) The one outside the truck and painting the meter had on khakis and a blue oxford shirt. Both men had the "race track" type headphones around their necks. Both men were black males in their late
  16. On the phone with my sister and two men just tried to break into my parents' house in Carriage Oaks Subdivision. One man was downstairs "pretending" to paint the meter while the other person was trying to break into the upstairs. Fortunately the neighbors came out of their garage after hearing the one that was trying to break in the upstairs door. My sister went outside to confront the "meter painter" who LAUGHED at her when she asked what he was doing there. She told him that she knew he was up to no good and he LAUGHED! She told him to wait right there, she was going inside to get her s
  17. My husband and I dated almost a year before our wedding. Most of this was "long distance" as he was stationed in Cuba. I knew I was going to marry him on our second date. I wouldn't change a thing about how long we dated or our lives. We just celebrated our 16th anniversary in September and have three beautiful sons. My husband is the love of my life and my soulmate.
  18. I've had the pleasure of being part of the Hornet family since 2003. This program -all the way around - has so much heart for each other and their fellow man. Blessings to all of our schools and thank you for warming my heart one more time Hornets!
  19. If you go to the District's website and click "Departments" and then select "Curriculum" and then select "Curriculum Staff" you'll be able to pick the best person to address your questions. Pretty much everybody you'd ever want to talk to is listed under their respective departments on the district website.
  20. I know! Just a little something positive every now and again would be nice. The hatefulness just doesn't make any sense at all. It's a football team for pete's sake not anything that's going to change the world and I love football but DANG!
  21. Congratulations to you! This is a tremendous accomplishment and something to be so very proud of. Stay ever vigilent of your "weak spots" and moments. I quit smoking in March of 2009 and have recently gone through some stressful things and the first thing I wanted was a cigarette. I thought I was past that. The good news is I acknowledged it, found something healthier to do with my feelings at the time and the desire passed. Blessings to you as you continue your journey to wonderful health! Congratulatios on your anniversary!
  22. You know we'll follow you wherever you go! We just have to make sure to tell the eldest where you are so he can come get his hair cut over Thanksgiving!
  23. I would like to make a donation for Paulding County High School. Would it be possible to call in with my information? I work in Midtown and rarely get back to Paulding County before 6:00pm
  24. I pulled all the pictures together and the music we wanted and Ginger did the rest. The final product was truly beautiful! She also burned me a CD of all the photos to keep.
