I guess that some just get to a point where they get to a place that they feel they're beyond that? Bourdain did have his own purpose, and did make a difference in what he did. Nobody knows what was going on in his mind. I just found it sad.

Has anyone actually read the Supreme Court's decision re this? Depending on which sites you go on, their decision was based on the lower courts finding unfairness. Like others have pointed out, what a slippery slope if they had made this wide ranging decision that if your religion gives you defense re denying service to anyone. I think the easy answer, is if it ever comes down to that, is easy. Post your religious beliefs on your door, and let your customers decide...............

A huge part of it comes down to revenue. I work full time, so I'm not home to watch The View or stay up late enough to watch Jimmy Kimmel. Her show was on during prime time (didn't catch this reboot, really liked the first couple of seasons of the original) If prime advertisers start losing support and her name becomes toxic, well, there you go. She screwed up, period, and that's a shame for all the other actors, techs, workers that are involved have now lost that job.

I think it also has to do with fellow cast members being appalled.

So, when gas prices were over $4.00 a gallon back in 2003/2005 (not sure of the exact year), Bush was in office. No matter. The problem at that time were storms in the Gulf and a broken major pipeline, I remember trying to get home from work, on empty, and too many stations had no gas. Fun times.
