Maybe it's once every 24 hours. I'll try again tonight.

Valentine's Day will be a little sad for me from now on because it was my father's birthday - he would have been 84 this year. When I was growing up we always had fun with the day because of that. My husband and I have never made a huge deal out of it - we exchange cards and occasionally some kind of candy. For *us*, there are two bigger days in February: his transplant anniversary on the 19th and our wedding anniversary on the 29th.

I would agree with you, but if you need to work in the metro Atlanta area, that would be a heckuva commute.

How many people ate ONE HUNDRED wings??? I know there's not much meat on wings, but *dang* ....

Thanks to everyone for their kind words. As LPPT said, the world does feel a little colder with him gone. The last several days have just made me more conscious of the family I have left and the friends who care and the acquaintances who are good enough to sympathize with my loss - and say so. I'm grateful for all of you.

I don't know if your father lives in Paulding or elsewhere, but you may want to check out the Senior Services website for his county. Paulding seems to have a good variety of activities for seniors, and Cobb does, too. I found some things I'm going to tell my mother about.

Are you needing it printed out or just converted to something more recent and e-mailed back?

This might be worth a phone call: http://www.paulding.gov/index.aspx?NID=598 Always check out Parks & Rec first - they have lots of excellent programs for a fraction of what they'd cost if they were private.

I thought that's what KFC was for .... Does Audry's serve fried chicken? I've seen people brag on the home-cooked food there.

Have the baby. I don't mean to be flip, but some women just have issues - and not always with all their pregnancies, but maybe just one. Carrying a child is a balancing act at the best of times. My sister had a pretty easy first pregnancy, but her hormones went completely out of whack with her second and she took *forever* to get back to something that resembled normal. Both children were boys. I have a friend who swears she never had a moment of morning sickness with either of her sons and had very easy deliveries, too. OTOH, she went through menopause in her mid-thirties. -
Welcome to Georgia! I'm going to suggest that you find a real estate agent who is familiar with this area and have a few looong conversation with him/her. There are a few agents here on P.com. I'd also suggest that if it's at *all* possible, you come to visit for a couple of days and ride all over the county looking around - that's going to be the best way to get an idea of where you'd feel most comfortable. I have lived in Paulding for 11 1/2 years and *my* perception of the area is that you'll find the more 'prestigious' communities in the northern and eastern parts of the coun

What search parameters are you using? Maybe that would make the difference.

Do you have vision insurance or will your health insurance cover it? You'll want to be sure that whoever is recommended to you takes whatever insurance you have. My husband sees an ophthalmologist he likes, but he's over near Cumberland Mall.

Nope - love Zaxby's!

If a little girl is very, VERY lucky, the first man in her life who loves her unreservedly, thinks she's smart enough to be anything she wants to be, and *knows* no other man is good enough for her, is her daddy. A few hours ago, I said my final goodbye to him at the funeral home. Through the heartbreak, I feel profoundly blessed to have had him for fifty-plus years and know that there was never a moment when I wasn't one of the dearest things in his life. I wish all little girls could be as lucky as I was - and am.

This article says that the fire *may* have been intentionally set - investigators are examining that theory (as well as others, I'm sure): Cause sought for deadly Florida highway pileup

Yep and yep. I'm sorry you were ripped off, but IMO leaving expensive or popular items in plain view is just an invitation to thieves, especially opportunistic (as opposed to career) thieves.

I've been there once. What I got was good, but I live in Hiram and they're waaay out my way to visit regularly. I'll send you a PM with specifics. I worded it that way to make it clear that while *I* didn't care for the item, others might like it. There's no way to suit everyone, especially where food is concerned.

Bumble Bee has sugar-free cupcakes. I've gotten them for my husband several times and tasted them myself, and they're very good. In the interest of full disclosure, I have been a customer of BB's since they opened and have been satisfied with both their food AND customer service every time. Most of the folks there now know me, but I was treated well when I was just another face. I want to mention that since they have moved to their new location on Hwy. 92, they have added several folks to their staff, so if you haven't tried them lately, you might want to try them again. I have been

I agree about supporting local businesses - our favorite is Bumble Bee Bakery on Hwy. 92 in Hiram. They have completely *awesome* chicken salad croissants, and my husband is a big fan of Buddy's Bad Dogs. And of course, you can't have lunch without something sweet for afters, so we always end up with some tasty treats for dessert, too. Love their cupcakes, thumbprint cookies and cream cheese brownies, and their petit fours taste just like Rich's' used to - yum!

That's one thing I miss about Kaiser Permanente. When I broke my little toe (and pushed the bone out of place in doing so - my foot looked like \|||| ), all I had to do was go to Kaiser, where it was x-rayed, moved back into place and taped up. I even got a walking boot. I think my co-pay at that time was ten bucks. Those were the days.

Why would someone give that post a negative? Weird.

A valid question. The only difference I see is that you get onion rings as well as fries as part of the special, but that would have to be a LOT of 'rings. I guess it could have something to do with the presentation, too. Hopefully the CM will respond soon.

With the two girls being such disparate ages, I don't think anyone would expect them to 'match.' I'd just try to find N. a complimentary dress and let it go at that. As young as she is, have you thought of making her a lined tulle tutu-dress in the fern green like you used to make? I think that would be really sweet - kind of forest-fairyish.
