  1. Let's see, I guess the SF Chronicle press release was not a big deal. This is twice that I know of that this President has done this. BTW, from what I understand $90,000 payment to a campaign manager is not that much money. It's my understanding they generally get 10-15% of the money raised. I'm not defending Deal, this thread is not about him. It's about the President and the left's double standards.
  2. Looks like he's picking and choosing who gets to "report". Boston Herald Then there is the SF Chronicle debacle. My link Looks like Governor Deal may be following the leader. http://paulding.com/forum/index.php/topic/270209-has-the-governor-lost-his-freaking-mind/page__p__3447708__hl__governor__fromsearch__1#entry3447708 http://paulding.com/forum/index.php/topic/270188-11-alive-newsbrenda-tells-the-governor-off/page__hl__governor
  3. Shania Twain and Julia Roberts come to mind...................who in the heck would cheat on them??
  4. I was kind of a stand up for your rights kind of person, a nonconformist I guess you could say. During my 2nd year of HS, the teachers went out on strike. We still had to go to school but it was chaos!! Most of us just roamed the halls or played cards in the cafeteria. As long as we were there it counted for a school day. After about a week of this, we planned our own walk out demanding the teachers come back to teach before we would return. An agreement was reached over the weekend and by Monday the teachers had returned. The school had dances (Play Night) every Friday night, I wa
  5. Wow, talk about double standards!! Nothing about a contract has to be fair.....................most contracts are very one sided, some actually benefit both parties. If you don't read the fine print, you have failed yourself, that's fair. Once you sign it or agree to the terms, yep it's binding. I agree with eym_sirius on this and would love a link as well, I might even click on that one.
  6. Yeah, where the heck has he been??? Calling Gray Wolf!! You have a message in the Atrium!!
  7. It's the alien that has taken over his body. Yikes!! Unfortunately it will be there until he's out of HS. Sounds like he thinks he's man enough to challenge Dad, big mistake......................mine got his but whopped when it happened. He signed up for deferred enlistment about 6 months later. He didn't challenge his Dad ever again!! (Thank goodness)
  8. Not "black enough"?? Are you kidding me?? His grandfather was a sharecropper...............his mother cleaned houses, his father was a chauffer.......he received a BA from Morehouse College. He was raised in the South during the civil rights movement..............I think someone is spinning that. Just because he doesn't cry, poor me, the world owes me this because of the color of my skin. It's very refreshing to see someone stand on their experience and share their background info, than someone that won't even let anyone see his college transcripts. I'd be willing to bet Herman Cain
  9. Wow, that took a long time!! Poor momma. Congrats Mr & Mrs B!!!! Happy Birthday Jackson!!
  10. :tapping foot: Still waiting!! Come on babyB!! We want to meet you!!!
  11. Wow!! I had to pass a US Constitution test to graduate HS. How may PC students have to do that???
  12. I so knew it would be soon, I think LR did too. I dunno, perhaps the power of positive thinking, I know how miserable she was. I'm so excited for her, hope it goes fast and furious!!

  15. Pass the Courthouse and Buchanan Hwy as you're going up the hill, toward Rockmart.
  16. I heard the sirens. Praying everyone is OK and calling my family now to make sure it wasn't any of them.
  17. I know you are so proud!! You have every right to be. Looks like she had some pretty good parenting along the way!!
  18. LR, I have a feeling BabyB may make his entrance today, not sure why but it just seems like it's time. So where are you MrsB??
  19. I just don't really understand, the "walk" is a ceremony, only one of my children wanted to walk. The two boys could have cared less. In fact the oldest one left for basic training before graduation ceremonies. He had no desire to participate, the youngest only walked because I made him. I wanted to see him walk across that stage, he would have preferred to stay home. Not only did he pass the graduation test on the first try, he scored the highest in his graduating class on the written portion. He graduated from PCHS in 2005 with a dual diploma, College Prep and Tech Prep. Maybe we
  20. So if the curriculum doesn't match what's on the test, perhaps the curriculum needs to be adjusted? There is plenty of blame to go around if your child can't participate in graduation ceremonies. Somehow I just don't think it's the BOE's fault. Graduation means they are ready to face the "adult" world, do you honestly think letting them walk when they haven't completed the requirements to graduate is a good thing??
  21. I.am.so.glad.I.live.in.the.middle.of.nowhere!! Only one visible neighbor and he's pretty cool.
  22. Oh yes, as a matter of fact many, many dragonflies. And damselflies, too.
  23. A drug store, not sure of the name but it's not a chain. More locally owned from what I hear.
