Radio just said 60 roads closed in Paulding Cty

Into the creeks new rivers. -
Just a heads up on anyone that might hire someone to help get water and damage from their homes. Be sure you check references, and the company is licensed and insured. There will be lots of folks coming to your rescue, just do your homework so you don't have a double disaster. Praying for all of you. We dodged the bullet this time, West Paulding didn't get much rain.

Yep, love the local info. Thanks Pcom and thanks everyone for keeping us updated on happenings. Everyone stay safe, going to check on the neighbors, make sure they are OK, see if they need help.

It's starting to get daylight here. I can see the yard and the trees. Praying the daylight brings safety.

Has anyone ever know it to flood like this before
Cathyhelms replied to Lady Raider's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I have lived here since 1983 and have never seen it this bad. I remember Pumpkinvine Creek flooding and Sweetwater Creek flooding but I can't believe how relentless this rain has been. It seems all of Hiram and South Paulding are under water. Please if you have to go out, wait til daylight. If the road looks like it has just a couple of inches of water, it could mean the road underneath is gone. Thank you Lord for all the rain but you can turn off the faucet now. -
I actually put up about 10 gallons of water last night. At least we can brush our teeth and have coffee. This is really bad, praying for all who need help.

Have no idea, might need to call the non emergency number for PC Sheriff to see. I know they are very busy but that area seems to be getting a lot of rain.
-
Thank you for the great info. Please everyone be careful.

Doesn't sound good. I just put up about 10 gallons of water. Need coffee in the am. Hope we don't lose power.

With ALL this rain and flooded roads...

We're on a hill too, a little worried about what's at the bottom though. We haven't had nearly as much as Hiram/ East Paulding in Yorkville. I hope everyone is going to be OK. -
I just put salt and pepper on it, add about 1 1/2 cups of water, cover and cook in the oven at 325. Depends on how big it is for how long. I then use the drippings (strained) for gravy to go with the mashed potatoes or noodles I cook with it.

We live in Yorkville and I know we have not gotten nearly that much rain. I think about 2-3 inches in the last week or so. My mom that lives about two miles from us has gotten more than we have. Seems like it's chosing spots to open up the flood gates.

Congrats, they don't call them GRANDchildren for nothing.

Beulah Land, Embraced, you might want to check with a few other churches, they have some wonderful Praise Bands. The 939 Praise Band, Dallas First United Methodist Church is awesome and so is Pastor Matt's, St. James Community Church Praise Band. I know there are many more right here that do a great job.

Well, I have been known to be both, although not at the same time,.

I love Whitney!! I hate when people with such wonderful futures end up messed up on drugs/alcohol. I hope she leave the past behind and focuses on the future. It will be better for everyone.

A true leader stands back and lets his Team do the work. A good manager know how to build a strong team. As such they are capable of achieving their goals and should be rewarded accordingly.

Been doing this for almost 20 years. Have families that depend on me to feed theirs, pay their mortgage and other bills. We've gone weeks at a time with no pay check, but the employees get paid every Friday. 20 years ago, we didn't have any employees and we worked as many hours as it took to get the job done. Since starting our own business, we bought a house and a couple of cars over the years but we don't have summer or winter homes, don't own a boat, in fact I put my home and family on the line every day. If one of the employees does something wrong, guess who's pocket it comes o

Great job, stopping this before it became another tradgedy. Hopefully we will continue to use proactive measures against these terrorists instead of reactive measures. Thanks for posting this MrsH.
