Savanah/Tybee Island would be my choice, it's so full of history and ghosts. I don't like the cold either. Next choice would be near Pensacola, near a beach that's not packed. I don't like cold and I don't like heat. I think that why I like living here, North 2-3 hours to the mountains, about 6 hours to the beach.

Bumping this back up for MCMM to give Lucky the answer

Yep, this weather is rough on roofers. They have to work when the sun is shining, wind is not their friend but rain and cold is definitely the enemy. They have families that need food. Glad it got cleaned up, I'm pretty sure they didn't do it on purpose.

WTG PSD, ahhhh I don't think I'll ever be able to fully retire unless we close the business. Coffee is a good thing.......if we make it after April 15, perhaps S&D's Nana would be more likely to join us.

Cough - Cough - Cough - I'm sick of coughing and being sick
Cathyhelms replied to ga_dawg_fan's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Sounded like bronchitis to me, I've had it twice in my life and it's horrible. Can't quit coughing, can't rest for the coughing and it's hard to catch your breath when you cough so hard. Glad you have the right meds, sometimes we just can't get over stuff like that on our own. I hate taking meds so I have to be very sick to take them. -
Trying to send you a message, it says you can't receive any. I think your mail box is full

He lives in Bowling Green, Kentucky, there is a town not far from there named London, that is where my father's family is from. Many of my relatives still live there. Maybe that's what he meant when he was talking about London.

It's not, the traffic turning left cannot stop, they have to keep going or the traffic going South to Goldmine will slam into those trying to turn left. The Yield is in exactly the right spot, but most folks don't yield to those turning left. Some do and I appreciate them. Praying for the people involved in this.

I really don't care if I miss a call, I don't know it's just me I guess. I see people falling all over themselves trying to get to their phones. I have caller ID, if I need to call them back I will. If it's important they will call again. It ticks me off when someone is with me, eating lunch, etc. and they are on their phone talking to or texting someone else, I think it is totally rude.

Other than cost and pre-existing condition clauses
Cathyhelms replied to Cathyhelms's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Ok this is way off subject but I'll play. My example was acutally 1972, not 1984. And those prior recessions you spoke of, who controlled the house and senate during those years?? I'll make it easy it was Dems. The President does not make or pass laws, last I remember that was the job of Congress.......the Senate and House of Representatives. Now you mention you have had several PCPs over the past 20 years, we just fired our insurance company because they didn't have our PCP and our employee's PCPs in their network. They didn't renew their contract with Well Star. Kiaser is short -
Other than cost and pre-existing condition clauses

So you think the US government is capable of reducing health care costs?? For those that are uninsured there is always health care available, even doctor's visits can be negotiated for the uninsured. But it's easier to allow someone else to control it than We the People taking the lead on this?? Nothing is free, not even government run health care. I just do not see how any organization that pays over $500.00 for a toilet is capable of keeping health care costs in line. Oh yea, then there's the deal with pharmaceutical companies to allow them to keep patents on drugs for a long time -
I know several people that had their children there. They are wonderful, caring and do a great job. I actually had 2 great nephews and 1 great niece born there. Their mom said it was a wonderful experience. Good luck and Congrats!!!

Other than cost and pre-existing condition clauses
Cathyhelms replied to Cathyhelms's topic in RECENT TOPICS
This question really has nothing to do with whether you have health insurance or not. If Health Care was afforadable we wouldn't need to have insurance. We have some the best care and doctors in the world. Cost is the only issue keeping us from having the best health care. In 1972 when my oldest child was born, we had no health insurance. I had the best OB in town, his fee was $200.00, the hospital bill was $150.00. We need to overhaul the cost of health care, not the health care our doctors are capable of providing. Wonder if we just shut down the insurance companies and refu -

Other than cost and pre-existing condition clauses

What I'm seeing here from those that have responded this is mostly a cost issue. The care, when received is good, correct?? We have excellent doctors and for the most part excellent hospitals with top notch care. The only thing I see wrong with Health Care is cost. Can anyone else give me something other than cost that makes our current system in need of complete overhaul??? -
Since every weekend until spring break is utilized with Scouting functions, I guess we'll have to wait til the middle of April. I so need to do this

Other than cost and pre-existing condition clauses

Ok, it appears the insurance companies are dictating what procedures and/or tests should be performed?? Should we as patients know what has been denied?? I mean specifically know what has been ordered before it is sent to the insurance company?? I think most of us are in agreement that we should have more control over our own health, not the insurance companies, right?? What if those tests were more affordable, instead of costing hundreds of dollars costs could be kept below say $100.00. Would you be willing to pay for those tests/procedures even if the insurance company didn't?? -
Seriously, without blaming politicians or going postal on party ideals, what is wrong with our Health Care System?? Is it really as broken as some think???
