  1. I have met some wonderful people through Pcom. It is what it is and it goes through phases, sometimes good, sometimes not so good. I really like being part of a "community" board. There are some great people in Paulding that I see are always giving. I only wish I could give more, perhaps I can if I really focus. Thanks to all those good hearted people that are looking out for others, Charlies Angels, Charlie, Lady Raider, Caped Crusader, Liberty Lady, the list goes on and on.
  2. Dang, how did you get so smart??? :clapping:
  3. I know there was someone here that lives on Wallace Way, I checked on the previous owners and there is only one. So far so good ctygirl. Don't you love the smilies???? :yahoo: :clapping:
  4. I'm in a great mood, tomorrow and Saturday are going to be like spring. I am so ready?? Going to play in the dirt as much as I can. :yahoo:
  5. Ummm what's wrong with our elected officials being drug free?? I say test them.
  6. Lucky64 is getting a little discouraged about things turning negative, let's have a happy thread. Say something good about a Pcomer. I love to read Lucky64's posts, they are always so positive.
  7. It's actually in a cul-de-sac at the end of the subdivision, hop skip and a jump to Sunset Mountain. It's a pretty isolated part of Southern Trace.
  8. Hmmmm do you have a history of repeating yourself??? :yahoo:
  9. I can tell you who owned it before.
  10. I agree some people are fostering for the money, but there are many, many more that do this out of love. I still think taking that chance is better than leaving them at home to fend for themselves. If we want to stop the cycle, it has to be interrupted. If children see and live with this every day, they see nothing wrong with it when they grow into adults. It's their way of life, they know no different. No simple solution is right but I truly don't think kids should be with drug users.
  11. Those kids do not deserve to be in a drug infested environment. Removing them would be better than exposing them to the dangers associated with drug use/abuse. Or maybe we could just wait til one of them gets hurt bad or swallows a pill, or easier than that, inhaling the second hand smoke of weed.
  12. I have my ways. Seriously, I have been observing this for years. Did you ever take your kids to the health department to get an immunization??
  13. This is long overdue. I'm so tired of seeing government assistance recipients wearing $100.00 tennis shoes, $200.00 jeans, talking and texting on their cell phones and driving their new cards I want to throw up.
  14. Subby, employees do not pay anything for UE. Nothing is deducted from pay checks for UE, so yes it is a form of welfare. Companies/employers pay an UE tax to the state based on the number of claims, the more claims paid the higher the tax. Federal Unemployment tax is paid by employers based on gross payrolls, again paid 100% by the company/employer. Look back a some check stubs, there are no deductions. You pay Federal withholding tax, SS/medicare tax and state withholding. There is and never has been a deduction for Unemployment. You shouldn't feel bad about having to collect
  15. Thanks, but I rarely pay attention to those little rating things. Like I said, I really don't let it bother me, this is just a message board. I know who my real friends are. I agree, so many people out of work that would never ever consider doing labor on a construction site, or heaven forbid flip burgers. It is so beneath them. Hispanics are fiercely loyal and are for the most part good people. They will work from daylight to dark just chasing the American Dream and do what is best for their families, like you I believe their legal status plays a huge role who they work for.
  16. :clapping: Sometimes it mystifies me as to why someone would put their lively hood on the line by passionately expressing their point of view. I'm with Subby and several others that I don't let what someone believes turn me away from them. However, there are many here that take what someone types very personally. We all need to "let lose" from time to time, but there are also times when we must restrain ourselves.
  17. And the American people rejected it then as well. Not much has changed, we still feel the same way. The only difference I see is that Truman truly wanted a better health system for everyone, not a power grab. November 1945
  18. WOW!! Good news, prayers continuing for the speediest recovery ever.
  19. spend, spend, spend. At least your children will know what they are paying for the rest of their lives. Dora the Explorer commercials are telling them now so it won't be such a shock when they start working. They are over budget over there in that office, they spent it all before it ever got mailed. Mine is filled out, ready to mail back.
  20. Yea, yea, yea you probably were picking off the bees with the bb gun. Leave them alone this year and let them polinate the durn flowers.
  21. I just read on WSB radio's web site that her family has been notified and asked her name not be published.
  22. Shhhh, I was going to put her to work.
  23. Come on over, bring coffee.
  24. MrsB, I didn't know you have no family here. I love Georgia and I love Paulding County even with all it's growing pains. Been here since 1983, when it truly was a small town in Georgia. If you need a substitute mom to tell you how you should be doing things, I have practice with my daughter.
