I actually cooked some kale (that we grew) for my mama on mother's day. I'd never eaten them or cooked them before. I just made them like I do collards and they turned out pretty good, Mom ate two helpings and took a bunch home. Lady Raider, I agree about the smell of burnt beans.............yuck!!! I know the second batch will be yummy.

Madea, we have paper towels in our bathrooms. I have pretty guest towels but for every day we kill trees.

Vacation Bible schools are great for summer activities. Many of them have day time activities for a few hours a day.

I wouldn't buy in a subdivision with a lot of foreclosures if I didn't plan on staying there a while. However the deal my daughter got was unbelievable, her mortgage payment is less than her car payment. If you're looking for a good deal on pricing, now is the time to buy. Eventually these houses will go up in value. Perhaps not to where they were before the downturn but more realistic. Too many homes had over inflated prices. It's a great time to buy a house.

When my daughter was looking at houses there were a couple in Swafford Plantation that she liked, the house she wanted was a short sale and it didn't work out. Not sure they really wanted to sell that house yet. It looks like the subdivision is not complete, the builder probably ran out of $ like so many others. Like ONIM said the schools over there are excellent!! Union Elementary and Scoggins MS.

You are 100% correct, the government which includes the FAA gets their money from us, the taxpayer.

You really need to look where the money for the airport came from. FAA paid for most of it, so far the cost to PC residents has been minimal.

Awww, you are very loved. Hubby's just sometimes don't know what truly makes us happy. After all we aren't their moms are we?? I cooked for my mom, loved every minute of it. She ate more today than I have seen her eat in a long time. Ham, fresh picked Kale, fresh salad with lettuce from the garden, cornbread and even made a pumpkin and cherry pie. Hubby got me a nice swing, it's purdy but the Georgia sun will eat it up in no time. He did do the clean up. DD planted some beautiful inpatients in the hanging baskets, youngest got me a gift card to Slate Market Grill in Rock

Why wouldn't he go?? Seriously, weekend trips to Orange Beach or Gulf Shores to visit him. All week the house to myself and a real pay check. Where's the keys to the car?? It's only a six hour drive.

Don't have an ATV but I do have a Kawasaki Mule. I absolutely love it, it has a bed in the back and it comes loose to dump the contents. When we moved here 17 years ago, the garden was much closer especially carrying those baskets of veggies up the hill. It's only 2WD but handles the hills with no problem. We have quite a few hills.

Be looking for them next week.
